We see players being signed off the back of a good performance at international tournaments the whole time.

So on that basis I think we should throw £20-£25m at Barcelona for Messi and say " here look he's had a terrible world cup so he's obviously not worth very much, you can't argue with that" and if they're not happy with that then offer them another £5m in performance based add-ons.

I think it's a no-brainer and you'll all agree.
