Who do you feel is the best to partner VVD of our current defenders?

Agree 100%, Lovren looks great but then every now and again makes a clanger of a decision which costs us a goal, while Matip doesn’t look up for it enough and doesn’t tackle back or cover his team mates effectively IMO.

Klavan is unspectacular but also very effective, and underrated for his ability to compete with most physical of players while still being deceptively good playing out from the back.

I reckon he should hold the position with VVD until Gomez (and TAA) are both ready to start at CB and RB respectively.

I wouldn’t say Lovren looks great like some games he looks better but the inevitable mistake is always in there.
