ED001,

In your own personal opinion, if Countinho does depart for pastures new, do you think we may see Firminos performance drop off slightly for the first 7 / 8 games because of the on pitch relationship he has with Countinho, while he adjusts to whoever Couts is replaced with, whether that be in house or someone new comes in?

Firmino seems to be a better player and more effective and influential in the game when he plays with Countinho.

Regards.

{Ed001's Note - it is certainly possible. He does play better with Couts, who seems the only one to have the football brain to read what he is going to do. He has had another few months with the others to learn each others games.}

Isnt it showing Firminio in a poor light saying others can't understand him?

Other way around to interpret is others are all dumb expect Firminio and Couts?

The point is Firminio is not natural striker but one who has put on a striker's role.

Cheers.

Why split hairs? Why pull out baseless assumptions when there's no need for it. We all talk about CBs making good partnerships all the time. We also talk about midfielders pairing up with each other's game. So now it's a problem if Coutinho and Firmino understand each other's game really well and the rest are stupid? Certain players simply click with certain team mates (on the field) and that's just the way it is. Live with it. Really read some incredibly absurd stuff on here, sometimes.

So if Barcelona comes knocking for coutinho we should also add Firmino in as part of package, take it or leave it.
