You've made some good points but when you mention value and players in the same breath I'm not so sure.

This is the same transfer committee, along with transefer negotiatior Ian Ayre, that sanctioned the Bentke and Balloteli buys. Yes we've been very lucky to recoup a good chunk of the Benteke money but still.

Chilwell is very highly rated in lots of quarters and I see more value at £10m for him than the £18m paid for Mario.

I can't get my head around the thought process to be honest.

Our squad has not improved. We have a glut of attacking players but instead leave our 2 best strikers on the bench. Defensively we r weak, and we r playing a MF that couldn't get a game at city as LB and expecting to compete with the top teams. We'll likely finish 6-8th place again unfortunately. So far only pos this season has been mane.
