Just a bad day at the office for everyone today, we looked jaded (if that's possible in that strip 😄)

Credit to Burnley. I said they'd "park the bus" and that's what they did and hit us with counter attacks. We were restricted to 20 yard shots from outside the box and never really threatened.
It was always too early to judge Klavan. Someone suggesting he was Hyypia v2.0 but today he was more like Skrtel v2.0. Giving Clyne a hospital cross field pass for the first goal and weak in the tackle and too slow to get back for the second. Lovren was also poor for the goals turning his back on shots 🙄.
I can't see Lovren and Klavan being a successful pair, neither of them have enough pace or read the game well enough. I'd like to see Matip in there.
Emre Can must have ran over Klopp's cat or something if he can't get in our midfield 🤔.
Sturridge was not match fit today, probably shouldn't have started.
Lallana is just not suited to these scrappy games. Give him a game against a team that is there to play football, but not Burnley.
All in all a forgettable performance from everyone. Klopp has a lot of work to do over the next few games.

It was a lazy lay off I agree and would not exonerate Clyne, but that was a cross field pass with little pace on it to a player who wasn't in much space. Klavan should have hoofed it up field. I really can't understand why he made that pass, it was the type of thing our centre backs did under the previous manager and used to have me tearing my hair out. It led to the same outcome as 12 months ago too, the opposition scoring a soft goal.

{Ed001's Note - he was keeping possession, as he was asked by the manager. Clyne had time and space to pick a pass, he only had to play is 5 yards but he was still incapable. Klavan was awful, but that pass was not a bad one.}

I agree with Gazza. I'm sure that if asked before the season how many points we'd have after the first two matches, most people would have said 3. It's a long season, everything will be fine.
