I mentioned months ago that Ian ayre could be leaving Liverpool to take up a position with standard chartered. He's officially leaving Liverpool at the end of 2017. Thoughts on this?

I thank him for the job he's done. He always strikes me as someone who works hard and has tried his best for the club and it's hard to ask more of someone.

That said, with no disrespect meant to Ian Ayre, it's a good opportunity to search the market for a really high callibre candidate who can continue to lead our club forward towards success.
