Watched what I can of Grujic, which in all honesty is not too much. Needs to sharpen up his first touch and be a bit quicker on the ball for the Premier League, but that can be said of a lot of players from overseas.
He is tall and strong, good eye for a pass and likes to shoot from fairly deep. Videos I have seen show him dominating the midfield, but n a league where he has a millenium on the ball before he is closed down. He is quick into a challenge and presses well, but looks like he likes to go down easily.
All in all he looks like a decent prospect and will give some much needed height to midfield. If he does sign then I hope he stays from now to bed in and get some LFC minutes, would make next aeason easier for him and therefore us.

Eds, do any of you have a deeper knowledge of him? I have searched and found opinions here and there but nothing of much detail.
Fully understand that not many people watch the Seria 1 League all too often but thought i'd ask just in case.

Thanks in advance, happy new year to all.

{Ed002's Note - I have previously explained what Chelsea's plans for him were - and that should give you a clue about their view on readiness. If you think their view is not worthy of much, have a think about Markovic, Rabiot and Depay and their views on them.}

But eds we don't all get it right all the time. Don't forget about salah, cuadrado and they never gave de bruyne a chance.

{Ed002's Note - You are perhaps speaking from a position of ignorance over these players - who were (a) not young, and (b) went for a variety of reasons you clearly don't understand. Try and get away from the obsession with Chelsea - it is very embarrassing for the Liverpool supporters.}

Markovic hasn't had a full shot and was allways stuck at wingback in a mediocre liverpool team. he could flourish under klopp plus he's 21. klopp should recall him if we can. markovic is at sterlings level, has potential except he's not english, so gets no attention.

Sorry ed002 but you were the one using Chelsea in reply to the OP, don't get me wrong I agree with your comment fully, but its not a Chelsea obsession when someone else brought it up.

{Ed002's Note - The reply was relevant as Grujic was a young player Chelsea were looking to buy. The three players mentioned were not young and inexperienced players - all of which were or will son be sold for significant profit. As such, the poster was speaking from position of ignorance (as he clearly doesn't know that there were specific reasons for leach leaving) - it is the standard obsesssing with Chelsea with Chelsea - embarrassing.}

Ed002 - in fairness it was you who brought Chelsea into this discussion. The original post was about Grujic, providing the poster's initial thoughts on him and asking if the Eds had any deeper insight. You immediately brought Chelsea into your response. Your first sentence was relevant and useful as a response to the question. Your second sentence seemed to be more about proving Chelsea's ability to judge a player. If I had to chose between your response and that of "BrendanRogers" as to which one suggests the greater "obsession with Chelsea", I would definitely say it was yours.

{Ed002's Note - The reply was relevant as Grujic was a young player Chelsea were looking to buy and it was good advice in response to his question. The second sentence was to overcome the morons who will simply put the answer down - in the standard way.

Idiots like you who bleat about answers given are the reason that sometimes it is not worth answering questions asked. I know I am wasting much of my time answering questions here and clearly you are not happy with the site, so I have resolved that for you.}

I think that's a tad over thoughtful about not being English Wise Ryan. Even at Wingback he had chances to push on for us and I must say I thought he looked lost out there and behind the pace of the game. I think this season playing regular in his preferred position will be beneficial all round.
Same as Kent, Canos and Ward (obviously Ward always playing as a keeper)

Personally I think if a 19 year old kid who costs less than Alberto or Ilori from a fairly poor league is able to walk into our first team then you know we have problems. My expectation is the kid is around the first team next season, but unlikely to feature much if at all. Anything more would be a bonus.
