Gerrard:

Alot of people posting about the Gerrard story coming out today some for it and some against. What I've seen of Klopp he dosent look like a push over and dosent take no S**T off anyone, so why would he take it off Gerrard. It is only to train with the team so why would Gerrard have any input on how to manage the team etc? he is there to keep fit until the MLS league starts again. Would people be shouting for Gerrard if we ain't playing well most probably but we all know that he isn't that game changer he once was. Legend yes stay that way Stevie.

Klopp is a very emotional manager. Truly a People manager. That's scary.

The only way I would want Gerrard back would be if Klopp and his backroom staff would be ok with it.

I don't see Gerrard's presence at LFC during the MLS break (for training or anything else) being anything except an unsettling event if it were to take place. Being a legend and loyal servant to the club and all is fine, but time has gone by and he needs to truly move on. Given what I have read about the undue influence he had while at the club, does anyone think he would not try to use it again, on either the training pitch or elsewhere? There's a new regime in charge, with a clearly defined new mission and objectives. After the initial admiring looks by the younger players, I foresee him being seen as an intruder by the other players. Again I will repeat that he was a spectacular player in his time, but for me, the "Gerrard Era" also reminds me of what LFC did not win while coming very close on several occasions.

Spot on, ra1969! Klopp might be a no nonsense coach but up against Stevie G, that is another issue due to his stature and rep. It will be unsettling not from the players or coaches, but from some fans and the media who would be hunting for inuendos and other lazy journalism stuff. it`s just attention we don`t need at the moment hence, i`m not for it.
