Looking at the signings made by the Sevilla and their consistent sucess on field,it makes me question why FSG
didn't change the scouting committee,if they want to implement their philosophy?

Also I don't know who convinced transfer committee to buy Lallana?

Lallana looked great in MOTD and highlights ,but he couldn't finish some 17 games last season, also he slows down the attack by taking too many touches and doing unnecessary skills.Fans like me might note know much due to lack of knowledge and resources and naively celebrate such signings.

But what happened to the transfer committee who decided to splash 23 mil on Lallana?

It was too much but most we sign cost over the top. But he's a good player. Let's hope he gets a run of games to show it.

None on the page had a problem when Lallana was bought. It was never needed and only ed01 was against the signing.
And he was bang on.

we weren't ever going to replace suarez by lallana , so it was a waste/luxury signing then and it will always be. lallana won't score more than 10goals any season , no matter how good a player he is , he wasnt what was required then, he isn't what is required now. with coutinho and firmmino in the team i don't know how will lallana ever break into the team.
i wouldn't be half surprised if lallana is sold and is the unexpected player Ed002 was mentioning. i just hope if he is sold we recoup atleast 60-70 percent of what we paid for him.

We would then have to incurr massive loss on Lallana. I can't see any club offering half the price we paid for the player. He would be a bigger flop than Ballo.

Your all blind and not one of you knows what your on about. Lallana is a decent player, he's neat and tidy with the ball. Rarely loses it and has a really good touch and eye for a pass. He is creative in and around the box. Every English team going for an English player will pay over the odds, because we all know teams need their English quota.
Give Lallana time to adjust, he's gone from a club where he was a cult legend and their captain to one were he's not even guaranteed to start. Massive change in club stature and expectation. I for one think he's going to do well for us.
Plus, unlike some of the other Prem teams, we have English players that will actually start, instead of sitting on the bench just to be a part of the quota.

Y would lallana need time to adjust unlike others? Did tadic and Pelle made up at Southampton. I am norry mate, Lallana wouldn't get a start ahead of Firmino and Countinho next season.

I can't believe people are slating lallana on this. He is a very good player but just had a bad season of injuries. One thing he is a team player and the way he talks about our club, he would do anything for us. i'm sure if he works on keeping fit he will be a top player for us. Sick of some of the fans on this, would slate anyone, never happy with anything. Whos next to slate???

Fair play Fats and Andy, Lallana might have to really fight for his place this season but i think he's well up to that. After Hendo and Couts last season it wasn't easy picking out many decent performers, except Lallana and Lucas and they were injured for a good part or the time.

It's going to be interesting to see if he has the mental toughness to fight it out with the other (more likely) starters. He was very good at Southampton (as was Lovern) but, to me, he struggled to deal with the weight of expectation on his shoulders.

He is a tidy player but slows the attack up way to much but this could be down to the managers instructions.

Again, to me, he looked to have had the confidence completely sucked out of him last season. Hopefully he's got it back with a year under his belt.
