My lad plays for a Welsh premier league academy team. They had a pre-season match against LFC academy last night. Couple of points to make about Nunez after bumping in to the legend that is Steve Heighway at the AXA academy, after the game. The gossip at academy level is that Nunez deal is progressing well and thinks it could be sorted before Monday but also a weird one in his opinion as he feels Nunez will find it very difficult to fit into Jurgens regime. The whole academy are also going this weekend to Portugal to compete in a round robin tournament in Benfica. funny that? The deal is obviously on the table but I do think there is still lots to be done before an unveiling. Liverpool always try to do things right and not allow a media frenzy to stir things up as best they can.

That’s unusual for Heighway to say that much, he usually doesn’t give much away.
