Ed's is there any truth that we put in a bid for Vardy but we couldn't trigger his release clause because we are not in the CL and Arsenal are?

{Ed002's Note - I really have no idea. If Liverpool are after Vardy then I would expect him to be first pick which could I guess see the likes of Sturridge and Firmino considering their future - given the club also has Origi and Ings even before the Benteke's etc.. It makes little sense to me but no one has mentioned to me that this has happened. Cerianly there is interest from elsewhere in the Premier League.}

If arsenal are are spending big money on a striker and end up finally doing it on Vardy I think they have lost the plot. Yes he is good, even if he has had one good season. But surely they can attract and afford almost any striker. Vardy is exsposive and scores a lot of goals on the counter using his pace. Arsenal pass the death out of the ball around the box slow and steady a lot of the time. Think they are taking a page out of our box with strikers that just don't fit the system 😁.
