morning ed is klopp still thinking of letting ings go out on loan with coutinho gone does it change anythink? . cheers for all the great work all you eds do.

redsteve222

{Ed001's Note - nothing has changed, he could still go out on loan.}

1.) 08 Jan 2018 11:26:40
Bring back Origi.

03 Nov 2017 17:25:09
hi ed can i ask a question has coutinho got a genuine injury? we all know about his so called back injury at the start of the season yet he played for Brazil alls klopp said today was he's unavailable cheers.

redsteve222

{Ed001's Note - I don't know that it really matters, he won't be playing this weekend and that is the important thing.}

1.) 03 Nov 2017 18:13:05
Hhmmm sounds like its another one of those then ed. he has to go asap mate surely to god we can't have a guy in the squad who doesn't want ti be there and is no doubt causing friction in the squad. He has to go in January?

2.) 03 Nov 2017 19:10:03
We need to tell Barcelona our price and tell them to only contact the club when they are willing to meet it. With Coutinho hardly hitting form and looking like he's going through the motions these over occurring injuries could be playing right into Barca's hands where they will most likely try and underbid. Let's hope we do not get our pants pulled down over this deal.

{Ed001's Note - just get rid. Should have got rid in the summer it has caused nothing but disruption to our season to hold on to him.}

3.) 03 Nov 2017 19:42:32
I thought he had done ok ed with the goals he has cone up with mate. Probably not then if I look at how often he has lost the ball or shot over the bar from 30yards. We should just drop him mate not fake injuries?

{Ed001's Note - I think he has been awful personally. Not just that he is giving the ball away constantly, it is the way it happens, he is playing for himself, not for the team. Just sell asap.}

4.) 03 Nov 2017 21:42:58
personally I wouldn't let coutinho or can wear a Liverpool shirt again they clearly don't want to be here so give the shirt to someone who wants to play for the club and get rid of both of them in January.

5.) 04 Nov 2017 02:28:29
Coutinho's become a liability now. Get rid in January and sign a quality replacement coz his influence on the team's performances has been non existent and we will be 100 million pounds better off to spend on better defenders. If he goes in January itself, sign a decent CB and a direct replacement for Coutinho.

6.) 04 Nov 2017 03:57:55
Agree completely about coutinho going. My freling is that when he is on the field the chemistry takes a nosedive. This season at least. not in it to win it so tata.

7.) 04 Nov 2017 11:24:29
Ideal world, sell couts to Barcelona for 130M then give it all to united for de gea.

8.) 04 Nov 2017 14:47:23
Red Steve, I think that’s pretty unfair on Can, mate.

9.) 05 Nov 2017 02:28:30
So let him have a cry and let diddums get his own way,

He is a disgrace and should be with the U23s unless required by Klopp,

I would leave him in u23s all this year and most of next,
Or until a suitable replacement was found,
But on the club's terms, not his,

10.) 05 Nov 2017 07:03:32
So every time he gets a niggle and misses a game we are all going to jump straight on the forum to slate him?

Grow up!
Any thought that it might be genuine!

11.) 05 Nov 2017 15:40:50
I don't think coutinho has been that bad as been made out, and I love the statements " we'll be 100m better off, " or just get a replacement", cause that's so easy to do, esp with our abs shambolic record in the transfer market after losing big players,

12.) 05 Nov 2017 22:35:21
Some prime time wind lick going on here.

23 Oct 2017 23:04:07
I've come to the conclusion that klopps biggest problem is himself and his stubboness and at times his arrogance he said a few weeks ago he's a good defencsive coach weres the proof--he said befor the spurs game no matter the result were still title challengers im not one to give up but 2 wins in 10 games tells you everythink. i really do think he needs a rethink on the way he thinks the team should play because it ain't working results tell you that. you can't play through every team you play against and think your going to get 3 or 4 goals every game that's just arrogance and the goals we concede is just a joke he's had 5 Windows to sort out the keeper and defence. give WARD a run of games pick a back 4 and stick with them mine would be tta-gomez-matip- Robertson or Moreno stop all this swapping and changing also i would drop courtinho back and give solanke a chance he's a different option this is only my opinion.

redsteve222

1.) 24 Oct 2017 00:07:58
I’m still pro Klopp but I have been disappointed with his lack of ruthlessness when it comes to some players who clearly aren’t good enough, loyalty is important but eventually some of these players could cost him his job. I hope that this is the turning point and he finally realizes that things need to change.

2.) 24 Oct 2017 06:52:28
Spot on Smeg, in this game, keeping loyal to players that aren’t good enough will eventually cost you your job.

3.) 26 Oct 2017 07:11:53
Agree but equally slagging players and chopping and changing is also a good way of losing your job. I don't envy him his position.

15 Sep 2017 22:41:51
can't understand why Milner ain't getting a game he just seems to have been dumped. didn't klopp say in the summer it was like signing a new midfielder talking about Milner thought he was one of our best players last season baffles me how Moreno is playing every week and Milner and Robertson are keeping the bench warm.

redsteve222

1.) 15 Sep 2017 22:55:15
So you want to drop an in form Moreno for Milner? That is very strange to me!

2.) 15 Sep 2017 23:22:14
I'm not convinced he's in form. He's still good at bombing forward and still bad at defending. that's just Moreno being Moreno. He's no different.

3.) 16 Sep 2017 00:30:55
Milner shouldn't play left back again, have you already forgot about all the cutt backs and slowly the attacks down, Robertson needs game time.

4.) 16 Sep 2017 00:34:40
You honestly thought Milner wouldn't get "dumped" this season? We are overloaded in midfield and out wide so a squad player role was the best he could have hoped for this season. Don't be surprised if he leaves in January due to lack of game time. Jack of all trades but master of none is our James Milner.

{Ed001's Note - I think people forget how bad he was after his initial good start. He offered nothing going forward and was all over the place defensively as teams targeted him. He was an excellent stop gap emergency left back, but that is all.}

5.) 16 Sep 2017 01:50:42
Yes Harry, Milner is still streets ahead of "an in form Moreno"

{Ed001's Note - I disagree, go back and watch his games again, he was caught out of position, just like Moreno, but offered nothing going forward and lacked the pace to get back in. Ok Moreno makes rash tackles, but at least he is getting back to affect the play, Milner was just getting left stranded, even though he was not going forward as far or as much. I like Milner, he has a fantastic attitude and was a great emergency left back, but he should only ever play there again in a major injury crisis.}

6.) 16 Sep 2017 01:58:09
I think that's a bit unfair in Moreno. His attacking play has improved no end and whilst defensively he's not solid he is clearly making an effort to curb the rash diving in which has got him in trouble previously. He has has visibly started to learn about staying on his feet and goal side, and he knows that if he let's his current standards slip, Robertson comes straight into his place.

7.) 16 Sep 2017 04:26:12
We have Moreno, Robertson, TAA and Gomez who can play much better than Milner at full back. Please stop putting Milner's name into the hat. He is ok to play in cup games and for seeing out games, that's it.

8.) 16 Sep 2017 04:57:24
Too many people on this page play favourites, Moreno has been better than usual of late and Bette ThTs. Milner last year (no offence to Milner he did an admirable job! ) but lovren/ insert keeper here/ Moreno get the blame (sometimes rightly so) yet others have bad games and have excuses made, 'hendo', matip, even firmino at times get a free pass! Firmino isn't a striker but does well I creating space for mane and salah, so now mane is absent should we omit roberto for an out and out striker? Shall we kick out an averge Henderson? No because the fans like them?

9.) 16 Sep 2017 08:07:23
Hendo has been average at best this season but was quality last season and we really missed him when not playing. I think he has earnt a little grace.
Firmino is a great player and although not a natural striker he fits perfectly into our system especially now we have Salah, he gives 100% every game and doesn't get flack because he doesn't deserve it.
I agree with you regarding Matip, but I think the reasoning is that people tend to think it's Lovren bringing out the worst in him, to be fair it could be the other way round as Lovren has looked worse since being paired with Matip, as another poster said he seemed to be forming a decent partnership with Sakho.

10.) 16 Sep 2017 08:23:44
I don't really rate Moreno but he has been a little better, his link up play is starting to come through and did well for our first goal on Wednesday.

Maybe Andy Robertson will get a chance today against Burnley. Tricky game today chaps, Id like to Couthino start, him and Salah seemed to have an understanding in pre season so it'll be interesting to see how they link up today, should they both start.

11.) 16 Sep 2017 09:54:38
Robertson anyone?

12.) 16 Sep 2017 10:13:22
Agree, really want to see Robertson play more - mom on debut in a position we don't know who our best is. Milner agreed to play there for the season but it was known he doesn't want to play defence. Assume that's why he's not featured there. Love Moreno as shows he wants to Play for us when I watch him I'm always hoping he'll be good but again he's not got goal side and not stopped an important goal and also against hoffenheimn 2nd leg the goal from his side he could have easily defended if he was simply aware of who was around him - winning games is more important and he does not seem able to change that aspect of his game, so frustrating.

13.) 16 Sep 2017 10:43:20
I know Robbie hit the post with the penalty, but in match changing situations like that, it would have been great to have Milner on the pitch to step up,

Just a thought Ed.
Do you think Milner could play the holding midfield role?
He seems to have dicipline to avoid being pulled forward on attacks, and reads the game well,

{Ed001's Note - no, not for me.}

14.) 17 Sep 2017 06:06:52
On hindsight, what position did he play. and can we say he did an Ok Job. personally i prefer he plays even our next game ahead of our Captain.

15.) 17 Sep 2017 07:28:04
Milner offers more defensively and offensively than Moreno.

{Ed001's Note - no he does not, I really do not know what people were watching last season but he offered nothing.}

04 Aug 2017 23:55:34
hi ed do you think will move for the ox? after hearing the news on lallana. cheers.

redsteve222

{Ed025's Note - it seems possible to me steve..

1.) 05 Aug 2017 00:29:30
I hope not. Waste of money, terrible player.

2.) 05 Aug 2017 00:30:09
If Coutinho does go we should definitely sign Lanzini from West Ham - we have been linked to him in the past - very similar to Coutinho great dribbling at pace, good freekicks and can only get better at Liverpool where there's more quality.

3.) 05 Aug 2017 01:09:59
Lanzini? What are you smoking? That's like selling a Ferrari and buying a Yugo Zastava and expecting the same performance.

4.) 05 Aug 2017 02:11:56
I think lanzini would be a decent signing.

5.) 05 Aug 2017 03:40:54
Klopp won't sign a player just for 3 months though.

6.) 05 Aug 2017 08:27:39
Loads of cover. He is out for Aug and Sept. Can't just keep buying players Every time someone gets injured.

Was the same on her when make went to afcon.

7.) 05 Aug 2017 10:36:00
And what's the Ox going to do, keep them company in the treatment room?

8.) 05 Aug 2017 14:23:45
My thoughts exactly bbb
Hope couts stays but wish him well if he leaves agree we need a class striker who is not injury prone however attacking mid field is our strongest position in strength and depth i know mingnolet had a decent 2nd half of the season but he is still a worry to me but we support who ever wears the badge.

9.) 05 Aug 2017 21:46:22
There is no one out there that can replace Couts' influence on the pitch. Nobody. Not Gylfi, Lanzini, Meyer, Rakitic (an insult really as Ciots is twice the player any of these clowns will ever be, IMO) or whoever. He needs to be kept at all costs at least for one more season.

10.) 06 Aug 2017 11:01:12
Woluwe makes me laugh when people mention Rakitic as a suitable signing. He's not been a decent player for at least two years and is in serious decline.

11.) 06 Aug 2017 18:00:25
I am a massive coutinio fan but I honestly think he is over rated here. He scored 14 goals last season not 44. When he starts scoring the amount of goals that messi and Ronaldo do then you can validate the 130 million pound price tag that reds fans have put on him. He has the potential to be one of the very best players in the world but he isn't quite there yet. Again, he wasn't our best player last term, 30 million pound mane was imo. You can score an over head kick from a cross cut back from the byline and you can score a tap in from a keepers dropped save, they are still counted the same. My point is, coutinio is great to watch, amazing style of play but a goal is a goal and last season bournmouths king scored more goals than Phil did.

12.) 06 Aug 2017 22:31:10
Just read report of a 120 million offer. That will be hard to turn down. Hope we do though. Reports that it took just 45 minutes to turn down last offer worries me even though it is supposed to have the opposite effect. 45 minutes means there was some sort of discussion. "No, sorry" takes seconds. I like Phil though, and I don't think he wants to leave us in trouble. As much as I don't like to admit it, I think he is going to leave sooner or later. I think he will give us enough time to sort out replacements and generally get ready for life without him.

come on lads be positive don't you think all the city fans will be worrying that they drew us were the only team to have taken them apart, and befor mane got sent off at city we could have been 3 up if you want to win this tournament you've got to beat the best out there am confident we'll get through.

redsteve222

1.) 16 Mar 2018 13:27:55
If I was a City fan, I'd be quaking in my boots cos they have a dreadful record against LFC as a whole and it is actually worse in comparison to other top 6 teams and Klopp owns them and their manager too in the head to head.

01 Mar 2018 20:19:11
here's hoping after tonight's game were 12 points clear of arsenal if we beat Newcastle and city Beat Chelsea we go 7 points clear of them.

redsteve222

1.) 01 Mar 2018 21:23:27
If only it were that simple!

We can’t take Saturday for granted. Benitez has never lost to Liverpool. Klopp has never beaten Newcastle in the Premier League and they are the side he has the worst points per game record against in England.

We must NOT be complacent.

2.) 01 Mar 2018 21:35:24
Regadless of stats, I think we'll destroy them on Saturday, I said the other day 5-0, I stand by it, with Mane, Salah and Firmino on the form they're on, we'll deal with them quite comfortably imo.

Klopp has never beaten Newcastle - Until Saturday.
Benitez has never lost to Liverpool - Until Saturday.

Going on them stats I don't think the team will be complacent and will be ready for them.

3.) 01 Mar 2018 21:44:30
I hope you’re right Salah! I just don’t want us to perform like against Swansea away or West Brom/ Everton at home and don’t win when we really need to is all.

It’s a must win game on Saturday - I’m right behind the Reds! Come on boys! YNWA.

4.) 01 Mar 2018 22:01:40
Yeah I know what you mean Reid mate that Swansea game haunts me too.

5.) 01 Mar 2018 23:54:07
there are always those games which come to haunt you. 2014 when we finished 2nd the chelsea game and the palace game. when benitez team came second it was the game against pompy wherw we had a draw and the draw againt arsenal at home.

6.) 02 Mar 2018 07:44:25
We owe Rafa and Newcastle one from earlier in the season, 4-1 to Liverpool. We don't do clean sheets😉.

25 Feb 2018 13:33:48
maybe I'll get slated but watching the spurs game at the moment there getting nowhere and I'm seeing what I seen in our game and the Rochdale game throwing themselves to the ground looking for penalties tut tut.

redsteve222

1.) 25 Feb 2018 13:48:05
Kane in the 89th minutes. Say nothing next time mate :p.

15 Feb 2018 01:05:45
does anyone else think Robertson looks a snip at 8 million he's improving with every game thought he had a really good game tonight looked solid.

redsteve222

1.) 15 Feb 2018 05:27:09
I am taking anything away from his attacking intent, but our forward line is just not tall enough for crosses,

2.) 15 Feb 2018 06:34:30
Doesn’t mean you can’t cross a ball, not all his crosses are in the air anyway. Plus, how many headed goals does Aguero score for citeh? And he’s no bigger than our front 3. Lumping long balls into the box would admittedly be useless but an accurate cross at pace isn’t if our attackers have stolen a yard on the marker.

3.) 15 Feb 2018 08:27:50
I don't care about anything else I want our left back too first an foremost b good defensively an Robertson is jus that the rest will follow suit in terms of goals an assists, I am made up for the lad an he has surprised everyone klopp included an he is one of the 1st names on the sheet, credit too Moreno for showing desire too improve but he back up now.

{Ed001's Note - hmmm how is he good defensively? He is weak in the air, gets caught ballwatching constantly. In a lot of respects he is like Moreno defensively, except without those ludicrous lunges, which is a marked improvement. However you can't always be chasing back against wingers or you will get caught out. He has to learn to position himself better rather than being constantly halfway between pressing the fullback or chasing back after the winger.}

4.) 15 Feb 2018 09:02:30
Can’t fault his work ethic and determination to win the ball back. Been good so far but definitely more areas to improve further.

5.) 15 Feb 2018 09:41:10
Ed001, I’m sorry but Robertson is nothing like Moreno. He is 10 times the player. Better positionally, defensively, mentally and at attacking.

Yes he still has his weaknesses but he is a young player keen to develop and he has come on leaps and bounds this season.

{Ed001's Note - for gods sake, stop wasting my time replying when you haven't read my comment. Robbo is a lot like Moreno defensively, he gets caught up field and he ball watches, both traits Moreno possesses. He also chases back harum scarum. So there you go your delusions make no sense, there are many other ways Robbo is like Moreno, for instance they are both registered to Liverpool, play at left back and are left footed. Do I need to go on?}

6.) 15 Feb 2018 09:59:15
Calm down Ed. People are allowed to disagree without being called deluded, surely? We’ve just won 5-0 bud I thought you’d be bouncing off the walls like me 😀.

{Ed001's Note - he didn't disagree he made a stupid comment utterly unrelated to reality. Where did I mention Robbo's attacking, mentality or anything other than his defending? If people are not going to read what I say and people like you are going to jump to their defence like I am at fault for their inability to read, then I may as well sack this in now because it is pointless me bothering.}

7.) 15 Feb 2018 13:45:55
To me his crosses need working on, most pressingly with his decision to cross. He needs to get in the habit of looking up and seeing if anyone has any chance of getting to it before he does - sending it to a good area when no-one is in that good area is just giving away the ball when he's at the wrong end of the field. He needs to learn when to cross and when to play the short ball, play for a corner etc.

31 Jan 2018 21:26:02
Will someone tell me to stop laughing 😅😅😅.
Chelsea 0 v Bournemouth 3.

redsteve222

1.) 31 Jan 2018 21:28:10
Chelsea will panick and sack conte.

2.) 31 Jan 2018 21:28:52
Could this be the end of Conte?

Would cost them money but hasn't stopped them in the past.

3.) 31 Jan 2018 21:30:02
U wanna laugh buds just pop on over to the Utd and Chelsea live chat 🤣.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 21:45:36
When Barkley joined Chelsea from Everton that was the beginning of the end, he is so bad I know it's early days but I jus don't see why they signed him.

5.) 31 Jan 2018 21:52:32
Probably the same as ours last Saturday night. Everyone is 1 or 2 defeats from a crisis these days it seems.

6.) 31 Jan 2018 21:54:11
Conte is leaving at the end of the season anyway.

7.) 31 Jan 2018 22:08:29
It looks like Chelsea have been taking panic buying lessons from BR's time at LFC with their peeing in the wind transfer strategy of late. Conte? He's history and sadly, things will only get worse for him and for Chelsea.

8.) 31 Jan 2018 22:13:36
Just popped over to the man utd page for the first time ever. Makes this page look like the mensa society.
