Hey guys I think we not going to sign a new gk and I'm actually among the few who would rather have us stick with the current crop unless we can move mignolet on I'd rather have us invest in higher quality midfielders and wingers with no more than 3 new signings just to maintain the chemistry in the team and avoid wasting time as players struggle to gell.

Get rid of Migs and Bogdan totally, buy a top class keeper and Ward on bench - simple! Just need the £20 mil for a top keeper as we won't get that back on the sale of current keepers.
Then we have the problem of finding the right one for that money, who would want to move to us - with no CL and Euros coming up. We do offer a good prospect though, maybe Leno or someone like could have their head turned by us.

As far as I can remember only Buffon has gone for 20 million plus, I'm sure we could find a promising goalkeeper for less.

You must be on some unhealthy mess, Red10. How many goals and points does Mingo and Bogdan have to cost us for you to understand that he needs sold. Even, yesterday, he is partly to blame for our loss because before his howler, we were in no danger of conceding. They both need to go and get a GK in who will actually help us win instead of helping the other team win.

Question for ed2 looking at what you've said about klopp in regards to his performance till now I know it's not the best but don't you also think you are a being a bit bias in your perspective because looking around I don't really see that many coaches who've come in mid season and transformed those teams into high flyers imo it's more about stability at first bringing the club back together fans team etc then performances will improve as we progress.
{Ed002's Note - I am not biased. His remit was to come in and work with the players at the club. And I have said nothing about "high flyers" at all - what I said it would be a bumpy ride - and it has been. Or did you think after 31 games or whatever it is he would have the same record as Hodgson?}

I know this is a bit late and not in line with the ticket issue but I was looking at the amount of games we've played already and it's crazy compared to every other team above us, maybe burning out of the FA ain't so bad at least the players get more time to actually work on their game rather than just having time to recover then bam another game, might even ease the injury rate cause guys were falling like flies around December with all the games and feb/ March would have been just as congested fixture wise.

totally agree we should move from wholesale average players to getting few high quality buys and imo right now will still not be the right time to get in a new keeper if it means we still maintaining both ward and mignolet bide our time like arsenal and snap up an ozil and sanchez then we can find a cech.

Chelsea are no better than augsburg league wise does that mean we are entitled to a result against them? ? and what our players lack is not ability they already showed that they have that countless times though sporadically what we fall short of is intelligence and decision making during such games.

ed its not that I don't understand what I'm trying to ask is which of the youngsters do you think should step up into the first team and start.
{Ed001's Note - but he is not saying that is he, he is saying they should be tested out, which means the odd game here and there, substitute appearances etc. Rather than being loaned out and ignored before being released when their contract expires.}

hijkle How do you propose we do that, testing, even better How would you line up the squad for our next game assuming no injured players will be back cause I'd really like to know what you mean by giving the youngsters a chance.

Flanagan and Smith maybe the rest 1 or 2 games I'm afraid if they don't live up to the hype the fans will destroy them and honestly stop kidding yourself with all that youngsters crap they are not our saviours just as you found out with your darling Ilori.
