according to the guardian Juventus want Salah, apparently willing to pay 175 million for him, have they even got that kind of money.

grajac

1.) 11 Feb 2019 13:25:06
Dybala plus £100 mil? I’d take that.

2.) 11 Feb 2019 18:08:49
No thanks
Up the pool.

3.) 11 Feb 2019 18:18:31
Dybala is no replacement for Salah. Where do you spend that £100, if you've already taken up his place in the team with another player.

Salah has proven to be extremely consistant, and at a very high level. In the current market, he's worth more than 175 mil.

He'll still be playing long after Ronaldo, Suarez and Messi retire, and will no doubt fill their void and I honestly think he'll win the Ballon D'Or in a couple of years.

4.) 11 Feb 2019 20:38:53
Where do you spend £100 million? Back up GK, RB and LB, Milner replacement (if he leaves, not that I want him to), back up to the front 3.
There’s plenty of depth that needs adding and £100million would be helpful given our large spend last summer.
My initial response was tongue in cheek - just thought it point that out.

5.) 11 Feb 2019 21:37:32
£175milliion is crazy money. If that was even possible I’d hope the money is spent on developing our youth teams and making Anfield even bigger!

6.) 12 Feb 2019 00:47:45
We don't need to sell Salah to buy a back up keeper rb lb lw/ rw/ st we hace money for that and selling deadwood and freeing wage will be enough.

7.) 12 Feb 2019 04:45:45
Deadwood😂 I didn’t know Liverpool had resorted to selling timber to raise funds.

8.) 12 Feb 2019 13:42:36
What's the point of backups for your defense and front 3, if your star striker who scores 30-40 goals is sold off? Dybala is clearly not the man to bring in those 30-40 goals, not that type of player.

can we please put to bed the destination of pulisic is it liverpool or Chelsea, lots of posts on both forums, please ed02.

grajac

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no agreement for or have not made a bid for him at this time. I am not sure why you need to be told this over and over. If they do, I will say.}

1.) 30 Dec 2018 18:27:37
cheers ed02, so he's off to Chelsea, thanks ed.

{Ed002's Note - Who said that?}

2.) 30 Dec 2018 18:43:06
Ed02, I personally don’t see pulisic at Liverpool but if you were to have an educated guess where do you see him lying next season?

Only asking as I get bored with all the constant questions and hopefully it’ll put it to bed. Hope you and the rest of the Ed’s are enjoying the festive season as it’s only a couple of days before it turns into silly season for you all.

{Ed002's Note - i am not the one to ask to guess.}

3.) 30 Dec 2018 20:52:02
Do you know if we still hold interest in him, or did we stop keeping tgack when we bought Salah after BvB turned us down?

{Ed002's Note - Try searching or listening to the Sharkopod.}

4.) 31 Dec 2018 01:11:50
Eds. How are you? Just quick question about sharkopod. at 22.22 there is a song. Could you tell me the name please as i can't find it. Great talk by the way. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - It is the Mood Six performing "Just Like A Dream".}

5.) 31 Dec 2018 10:06:32
This is what happens when ya let the rags drag you on.

6.) 31 Dec 2018 10:07:33
Thanks eds and have a great new year.

20 May 2018 19:53:53
hello ed's of the names that have been mentioned by a couple of ed's plus Macca who do you see arriving and departing this transfer window, I personally ignore the press since I found this site so value all of your input, I'm getting fed up of reading that fekir is 99% done for example.

grajac

{Ed002's Note - I understand Macca has provided the definitive list. I am told it doesn’t include those everyone here have been saying are already agreed like Lemar, Sessegnon and Maddison.}

1.) 20 May 2018 21:52:43
ed02 your playing with us the pool followers with half a brain. know that Lamar sessegnon and maddison aren't happening,

2.) 21 May 2018 00:17:00
That question would be almost too hard to answer grajac, although outs you possibly could guess, but ins (unless already done) is still up in the air! It depends on if we get all our first targets in or not to start with, let alone 2nd or 3rd, as wasn't Salah 3rd choice last summer?

31 Aug 2016 18:24:03
markovic on loan to sporting?

grajac

{Ed002's Note - It is looking like it can be done. The baulked at the asking price for a transfer but would like a loan with an option to buy at a reasonalble price. His agent is elsewhere right now but a third party negotiating the deal is confident it will go ahead.}

1.) 31 Aug 2016 18:55:08
that's good give him a chance after we messed him around yet another of Rogers kids that had their career halted.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 21:02:27
Why, forget injuries but mane and his pace will be gone in January. Could do with msrkovic and his.

We already own him and probably paying some of his wages whilst on loan, why not keep him and see what he learns from klopp and coaches. Settles in with the likes of grujic and trains with mane.

Mane goes and this whole summer goes.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 21:57:36
@Supermane

I disagree, when Mane is unavailable Ojo can cover capably - he's quick and direct and very highly rated.

Don't be so dramatic.

Markovich also deserves the chance to rebuild his career elsewhere after BR messed him about.

4.) 01 Sep 2016 00:27:53
maybe we should have left markovic where he came from for a couple of years to develop. its a shame how things have turned out for him so far.

5.) 01 Sep 2016 15:08:52
Didn't they move the ACON to the summer?

6.) 05 Sep 2016 20:01:20
I doubt that because as an African who grew up in Nigeria, it is the rainy season and trust me when it rains, it POURS down there in the Motherland.

31 Aug 2016 17:32:07
Ed 01 do you think spurs will come in for lallana after they've failed in getting their targets recently.

grajac

{Ed001's Note - no, I think they moved on a while ago mate due to the price. Levy will not go above the price he believes is correct.}

1.) 31 Aug 2016 17:46:27
thanks for the reply Ed . I was hoping a late move for him and one for us . oh well deadline day not going to be much fun tonight on sky then.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 18:07:15
Levy is an eejit then.
Surely for a player you just pay way over the odds?

3.) 31 Aug 2016 18:40:07
I'm sure that was sarcasm Agger.

Chillwell?

4.) 31 Aug 2016 20:32:28
It was Zeddicus.

who to replace klopp when finally leaves, rafa or Gérard?

grajac

{Ed014's Note - just don’t let Klopp leave

1.) 28 Feb 2021 19:31:32
How about neither.

{Ed077's Note - I hear your looking for men. How about me instead?}

2.) 28 Feb 2021 19:51:27
Rafa? 🤦🏻‍♂️.

3.) 28 Feb 2021 20:08:28
I'd prefer rafa now we have good owners.

4.) 28 Feb 2021 20:14:18
I don’t want Rafa would not want to go back to his don’t lose first football after the football we have played under Klopp.

5.) 28 Feb 2021 21:07:53
Pep Lijnders for me.

6.) 28 Feb 2021 21:14:28
Rafa left us in the rubbish, Gerrard is still learning and needs to prove himself in a proper league first and lijnders may be a great assistant but has failed at management so might not be cut out for it.
Leave klopp where he is and when we do need to find a replacement, find someone worthy of filling his shoes, non of the above currently are.

7.) 28 Feb 2021 21:27:56
Notice he said Gérard and not Gerrard.

The former might find it a bit difficult to manage the team via ouija board.

8.) 28 Feb 2021 22:04:10
I think I would jump off Runcorn bridge if I watched us go from Klopps style of play to Rafa’s. He was amazing for us but we have been spoilt the last few years, even with the Rodgers style. Grinding out 1-0 wins at home sitting on leads will be horrible.

9.) 28 Feb 2021 23:24:38
Allegri for me .

10.) 28 Feb 2021 20:24:19
Ed077, it could be worse. We could have Oli at the wheel.

{Ed077's Note - I would love it, love it if that were to happen.😜🤣🤣}

11.) 01 Mar 2021 01:24:30
Pep for me, he has been there watching a legend at work and that will always be better for us than someone that would want to change style etc too much. Remember Souness coming in and changing everything and look where that left us.

12.) 01 Mar 2021 08:34:38
BigVirg - don't forget to pay the bridge toll first though, before you jump!

13.) 01 Mar 2021 10:40:53
Grinchred, let’s not forget souness took over an aging team and had to rebuild the team. People forget that.

14.) 02 Mar 2021 00:49:50
Yes it was an aging team but he didn't evolve like the previous managers, he decimated the team, complained about the age but sold 22 year old Staunton, and brought in julian dicks! The majority of the players he sold carried on successful careers at other clubs and the age was just used as an excuse for him wanting to change everything and feed his ego into moulding the team in his own image, stop playing our usual pass n move just kick opponents off the pitch. I can't see any other reason to get people like Dicks and Ruddock in.

21 Feb 2021 00:08:10
can someone please tell me what thiago offers, he gave away the header which lead to the first goal, he just stood and watched, not actually done anything since he arrived.

grajac

{Ed0666's Note - judge him next season mate when he’s got Fabinho doing what he’s supposed to be doing.

1.) 21 Feb 2021 00:31:55
You can't slag off Thiago mate, people won't like it, he's game is way too slow for the premier league. This hasn't worked move him on and get someone younger and can be bothered to perform.

2.) 21 Feb 2021 01:14:41
Yeah let’s move Thiago on who’s actually having a go and keep keita who for some reason gets a free pass from our fans. The lads playing as a part of a three with a half arsed gini and a young but eager Jones. He’s in a new league playing in a iffy midfield in a team bereft of confidence. The lads not even been bad, but we need a scape goat and now that Gomez is injured the cranks need a new victim. It was Lucas, then hendo, then Gomez, now Thiago. It’ll be somebody new and in are months.

{Ed0666's Note - I , I sailor

1.) 03 Apr 2019 21:57:53

2.) 03 Apr 2019 22:18:34
Benteke?

27 Jan 2019 19:51:10
ed 01 if your around do you think we should of enquired about Hudson-odoi or is he not ready yet.

grajac

{Ed001's Note - he wants first team football, not to sit on the bench.}

1.) 27 Jan 2019 20:13:15
thanks ed.

2.) 27 Jan 2019 21:11:58
He won’t start for us Bayern or Chelsea. If he truly wants that, he should go on loan.

3.) 27 Jan 2019 23:00:01
Bayern have promised him first team football so clearly he would start for them.

It's just impossible at Chelsea. The managers have to win every year or get sacked so Sarri simply hasn't got time for developing players.

He should go to Bayern and become a star like Sancho has. I wish him luck.

4.) 28 Jan 2019 03:06:43
If CHO does go to Munich this window, could he face Liverpool in the forthcoming CL tie?

5.) 28 Jan 2019 08:19:50
He will get perhaps 5 starts at Bayern. For the two wide positions they have gnabry ribery robben coman, and whilst he may be as good, and even though the latter two are getting on they still have experience and quality to offer in games.

{Ed001's Note - you clearly have not seen the lad play or seen Ribery play in recent years. He will get a lot more than that.}

6.) 28 Jan 2019 08:32:57
Whats your thoughts on the lad Ed? Never seen him play myself.

{Ed001's Note - excellent player, has the potential to go a long way. Possibly the brightest prospect in his age group.}

7.) 28 Jan 2019 08:37:12
Ribery and Robben are leaving in the summer as confirmed by Bayern. Coman is Ok and Gnabry is still finding his feet at the club. I think Bayern have seen enough of CHO to decide he is worth 40 million pounds and hence guaranteeing him game time. He would not be pushing so hard for the move if Bayern had not made certain guarantees to him.

8.) 28 Jan 2019 08:48:06
How could Bayern have made guarantees to him? Chelsea haven’t accepted a bid nor accepted the transfer request, so Bayern would of tapped him up. And here I was thinking only Klopp did that in world football 😏.

9.) 28 Jan 2019 11:15:53
What of your thoughts on Foden Ed? Should he stay at city, go out on loan, or make a permanent move elsewhere? Is he even that good?

{Ed001's Note - he is a City fan, so it is probably best he stays there and continues to fight for a place. He is certainly decent enough to deserve a chance.}

10.) 28 Jan 2019 12:19:41
I agree Ed. Was only saying yesterday that Odoi is better than Sterling was at the same age.

His touch and striking technique are more crisp.

{Ed001's Note - agreed. Though it is all potential and up to the lad to improve, he has incredible potential.}

11.) 28 Jan 2019 19:08:01
Never seen the kid play and frankly, I don't need to. Bayern are NO mugs. That is a fact. If they think a kid like CHO is worth 40m and are fighting tooth and nail to get him, that should already tell you how good this kid already is and how highly thought of he is in Bavaria.
