In readiness for next season most contributors talk about new additions to the squad. However the one issue that needs to be addressed is our mental strength. Losing to Seville could be a blessing in disguise. We lost or drew so many games last season after leading at half time that we would easily have finished in top 4. I am sure that Klopp will be working on this and I am very confident with our signings to date that despite Mourinho and Guadiola and their vast resources we will finish above both Mancs.

Losing to Sevilla only helped us lose out on our main targets and champions league money, certainly not a blessing.

I haven't yet seen one pundit or sports journalist tipping Liverpool for the title. Do they think that because of losing LS that we suddenly become "also -rans".

We have players that the others would die for; we have added real quality in depth and we have a manager that can compete with the best.

I really think that getting a striker such as Reus would be the icing on the cake and I might even take a trip to the bookies!

I just hope that Brendan gets an opportunity to meet with Sanchez. His passion and ambition will surely count over Arsene Wenger's record - great that it is but it is in the past. Liverpool are the future and Sanchez will hopefully recognise that BR is a special talent and see his enthusiasm and charisma and make the right choice.

As much as the club are right to take a firm stance against LS, I think Brendan was wrong to go public that an apology was needed from LS. This should have been done in private. LS will now lose face and this is something he will not do. There is now, regrettably, no way back.

Do we let this matter fester knowing that his absence will cost us valuable points or do we bite the bullet and get rid asap and get a proven striker in for damage limitation? Much as I think Sturridge is a better striker I am worried about his injury record so message is BR swallow pride and get rid.
