Any truth to the Reina to Munich rumours?

Cheers

cpYNWA

{Ed002's Note - It is possible if he lowers his wage demands and accepts he will be on the bench.}

1.) 05 Aug 2014 19:15:21
Why would he do that though? he has more chance at playing at LFC and if you are right will be on less money expect this to fall through

2.) Seems like a lot of hassle and loss of money to move and warm the bench elsewhere. neuer will go down as the best keeper ever (mark my words), no chance over there.

3.) He has got no chance of playing at LFC, he is 4th choice, he is done.

Spanish reports state an agreement on the fee for luis Suarez has been made (75m euros, not that you like to discuss money though). Can you confirm or deny this?

Cheers

cpYNWA

{Ed002's Note - I can tell you that the figure you mention is half way between what Liverpool was asking (a termination clause) and what Barcelona were looking to pay. Subject to a little agreement on detail, there has been the basis of a conclusion to the whole ugly affair of Luis Suarez.}

1.) Why if we value the player at 80 million pounds would we sell for 75 million euros?

{Ed002's Note - Why would you think that was what the club wanted - you are making up numbers.}

2.) 04 Jul 2014 20:08:53
These figures are wide of the mark. Liverpool are still waiting for his buyout to be triggered.

3.) Ssn are making up the numbers, not me.

4.) If the figure is half way then the 10m that was the difference (as one of the ed's posted yesterday or a few days ago) would mean Barcelona want to pay 70m Euros and Liverpool want 80m Euros (£63m).

Yes I think he's worth £80m but with a 4 month ban and 2 year ban for a repeat offence means our hands are tied slightly.

Still trebling your money (ish) on a player that cost over £20m to begin with isn't too bad (especially given the issues).

Thanks for the honesty Ed.

5.) Ed the same Spanish reports also said that barca are close to finalising the sale of Sanchez. Is this also true and if it is do you know who to.
Thanks

{Ed001's Note - they aren't yet mate.}

6.) 04 Jul 2014 21:49:24
Just read on BBC Sport web page that Barca have told LFC they're willing to meet the £70M+ release clause amount for Suarez

Link --> www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28112887

7.) Looks closer to £80m or €100m
Looks like BBC were correct £60m plus Sanchez

8.) Is it true we accepted the 70 million for Suarez so we get the first refusal on Sanchez?

{Ed001's Note - no.}

9.) 05 Jul 2014 06:21:12
Numbers are fun to make up. Ed002, what is your release clause?

{Ed001's Note - Ed002 is priceless! But, if anyone wants to offer £100m it would just about match the release clause.....}

10.) 05 Jul 2014 06:18:28
Ed002, forgetting what he does actually go for in the end may I ask your personal view on it please? The club will sell for what they think is right but with your experience and knowledge do you think in today's market £60M is about right? I find it hard to tell with Bale's fee, Falcao and Rodrigez supposed fees. Everyone has gone mad with daft prices and I trust the club to do things diligently, I just get curious about how people see things differently.

Cheers

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with the fees others are sold for. Liverpool will get the best price that they can for the player.}

11.) 05 Jul 2014 07:12:02
Aside from the result of disposing of Suarez, how do you feel Liverpool representatives conducted themselves and do you think they achieved their desires results?

Kind Regards

12.) 05 Jul 2014 08:27:39
This thread is a proof that Ed002 is 100% correct in not discussing figures . within this thread there is lots of figures posted by you lot and none of them is correct, even though its there in black and white on the bbc page that is linked from this same thread.

Evening Eds and reds

I'm not exactly sure if this is the right place to ask but it's more out of curiosity rather than a rumour, but when a player gets a long-term injury (i. e. Ox, Gomez) what happens to the player's salary?

Do they continue to get paid full? Get paid a percentage of their normal wage? Or is there some kind of insurance policy to cover injuries?

Cheers.

cpYNWA

{Ed002's Note - They get paid in full by the club. The club has insurance but would not claim for a thing but the most serious of injuries.}

Balotelli refused to answer questions from the sun at a press conference - looks like he'll fit right in a Liverpool then.

1.) Haha I remember that, was a very long time ago after his milan move, something along the lines of "when I was in england, your paper did nothing but talk bad about me so I won't talk to you"

Teixeira joins Brighton on a season long loan.

Best of luck to the kid, an exciting prospect for the future.

hi eds first time poster, have followed the site for about a year now and you guys seem to always know what's happening well before the rest.

if I dare suppose that Suarez leaves this summer, what alternatives are there for BR to buy as a replacement?

i think we would need a top quality centre forward for our return to the Champions League but no names really spring to mind.

thanks, keep up the good work :)

cpYNWA

{Ed002's Note - I am not so sure it will be possible to buy a like-for-like player. In the past Liverpool looked at Costa who is a more traditional striker.}

1.) 09 Jun 2014 20:29:35
I think the closest thing to like-for-like would be Sanchez, but even he is a very different player.

That being said if Luis did leave for some reason (I personally really hope he doesn't) then I would be happy with Sanchez and a CB (Lovren please) and using the rest of the money to pay off debt. I know we don't talk about money so i'll leave that bit there.

But we saw what Spurs did with the Bale money they went spending crazy and only really got it right in one case (Ericksen).

The best example of what to do with a large sum of cash is when United sold Ronaldo. Don't splurge it all at once, use it wisely. Other clubs will know you have lots of money and it will be harder to get a good deal *cough*Lamela*cough*.

They bought Valencia that year and that was about it, and over the next few years they had the money to buy Hernandez/Van Persie et al.

I know Ed002 is likely to disagree with where the money went but I think the jist of the story is good.

Don't spend all your money just because you have it, spend wisely, exactly like BR/FSG are doing this window.
