I think now is a great time to thank each of the Eds for everything they do. I’m annoyed by the amount of posts on here today regarding Fekir, and those are just the ones that made the home page. I can’t even begin to grasp what all you have had to sort through today, and why people feel the need to ask the same question every 5 minutes. So seriously, thank you all for your time and effort. May this transfer be wrapped up soon so we can all stop hearing about it.

I’m all for discussion Diamond, but people on here tend to be quite needy and impatient. We all know Fekir is of interest and that talks are taking place, so why come here and ask for details? The papers are on top of it. Even worse are the posters who claim to be in the know and that it’s going to happen at X time or Y date in Z city, which stirs people up even more. This used to be a website where folks just asked about interest in players and it would be confirmed or denied by the Eds. There’s a sense of entitlement around here now where folks expect news even when there isn’t any. It’s just frustrating to me that folks can’t understand that. I apologize if I offended any editors or posters, and if I’m off base, feel free to call me out.

Yankee- It gets worse than just a sense of entitlement. When people ask questions and if the answer is not pleasing or what they expected, then the answer is something like "How can you say this Ed, Macca said that" or "Really Ed, well, the other Ed said something completely different". And then people wonder why there are meltdowns here between Eds and posters or posters with each other. Not enough effort is made into considering the consequences of what is freely being published. I've always thought it a privilege to both read and post here. I always wonder how many others think the same way.

The hold up in the Fekir move seems to one related to financial planning. After benefitting hugely from the sales of Lacazette and Tolisso last summer, Lyon want Fekir's sale to be included in their 2018/ 19 figures and so are holding out until at least Saturday.

Langland, Can struggled in a back three. Not sure what you were watching? Can's best place is in centre midfield, once the window has closed we need to make every effort to get him to stay as it is obvious to most observers that he is one of the most talented centre midfielders in Europe.

Langland, why would Klopp wanna do that? He sees Ox as a squad player to cover for the wings and CM when someone needs to rest. Klopp does not accommodate players neither does he play a back 3 as he never has except at Stoke and he binned it at half time as it was not working.

If he goes and, say, VVD and Lemar join, he may get in the starting XI.
And, if he did, he'd probably be the slowest outfield player in the team.
Which for a modern midfielder, in a Klopp side particularly, is damning.

Can was so dominant on the right side of a back 3 that in this formation we don't even require a goalkeeper.
Brilliant tactical innovation; something you'd have expected to see come from Italy, but now developed on England's own shores. It's like the reinvention of football itself.
