Alisson confirmed!
Get in!

1.) 19 Jul 2018 22:04:50
Great news. Fekir Next!

2.) 19 Jul 2018 22:05:24
Yep, got him!

Roll on the new season!

3.) 19 Jul 2018 22:10:21
Is he really that good.

4.) 19 Jul 2018 22:12:42
Get in, I'm over the moon.

5.) 19 Jul 2018 22:45:18
Just wow lfc! 2 months ago we dreamt Oblak or Alisson. We got Alisson and not Butland, Navas or the geezer we can’t spell from Barcelona.

6.) 19 Jul 2018 23:34:03
His distribution looks to be better than even edersons! Can't wait to see him in action.

7.) 20 Jul 2018 08:32:29
What a team/ squad Jurgen has built, frightening.

8.) 20 Jul 2018 10:00:27
Are we likely to still buy a attacking mid? If so who are we looking at?

9.) 20 Jul 2018 10:57:41
We have the spine of a really useful team now, first time in a while. Brilliant! but we have to win something now.

10.) 20 Jul 2018 13:19:30
Mane the new 10. Guess that's goodbye Fekir.

11.) 20 Jul 2018 15:06:05
The Ox injury must have freaked the LFC people when they dealt with Fekir's medical report.

{Ed002's Note - Obviously not.}

12.) 20 Jul 2018 15:14:22
Red Reaper, its spelled Cillessen but pronounced Silly Season.

13.) 20 Jul 2018 15:27:12
Serious question, was Pederson a sought after keeper before City signed him? I'd never heard of him to be honest!

14.) 21 Jul 2018 16:15:17
That's because his name is Ederson. Not Pederson.

{Ed002's Note - To answer the previous question, Ederson was very sought after.}

15.) 22 Jul 2018 05:35:50
ye glad you deciphered the predictive txt ed2!
i'd never heard of him before city signed him!

21 May 2018 22:11:57
With all this fekir news, which i don’t believe at all. I just want to ask the eds have we even made contact with lyon or his agent till now?
Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - After a claim of the deal being agreed last week Lyon were looking in to a potential illegal approach. Lyon have been clear where they stand, his “representative” may well of been speaking to Liverpool. Something can be done as I previously explained. Macca, I am told included him in the “done deal” or whatever list. I have not seen his post. It can happen but right now there will be a little work to do. This may well be the Coutinho “replacement” - but remember he dresses to the right.}

1.) 21 May 2018 22:51:13
I don't believe it either, I'll believe it when it happens, which I have my doubts about, it feels too much like the Lemar fiasco last year. If it does, great, we need quality reinforcements and he'd be a brilliant addition but I have my doubts on this one.

2.) 21 May 2018 22:28:24
Okay thank you ed. The macca list, I think referred to players we are interested in. He said he hoped that we may eventually sign them. That is all. I don’t think he said that they were done deals.
Anyway how are you ed002?
Good to have you back here.

{Ed002's Note - I am fine and have done no more than re-iterate the situation I have previously explained. You are the first to tell me that was Macca’s wish list.}

3.) 21 May 2018 22:43:16
I have my fingers crossed for this deal above all others.

I Appreciate you giving us this update.

4.) 21 May 2018 22:58:50
Cheers for update ed. Appreciate it.

5.) 21 May 2018 22:28:24

8.) 21 May 2018 23:13:13
What on earth does he dresses to the right mean?

{Ed002's Note - Jolly Gosh, I thought all of the Brits would understand that.}

9.) 21 May 2018 23:18:21
Firmane, you been to a tailors mate? lol.

10.) 21 May 2018 23:22:53
What on earth was the Lemar fiasco?

{Ed002's Note - The fat kid from Bolton has explained Lemar is a done deal for £96M. Great news.}

11.) 21 May 2018 23:44:04
Short memory Smeg?

Exactly Ed2 mate, I think almost everybody apart from you Eds was saying how it was a 'done deal' and fans went and believed them all summer, same goes for VVD it was all about them two been signed before the end of the transfer window, it got boring.

I see the similarity with this Fekir business, it might happen of course but it just seems too much like the Lemar BS just another name. We've got everybody who's suddenly 'in the know' telling us how its a done deal, it's not! if it was he'd be stood with a Liverpool scarf having his picture taken signing on the dotted line.

12.) 21 May 2018 23:44:06
Thanks Ed002, your contributions are always appreciated by the more discerning LFC fans 😘.

13.) 21 May 2018 23:45:39
So people are dumb enough to believe the Fat Kid and suddenly it becomes a fiasco, there was no fiasco, VVD was a fiasco, Lemar was just a bunch of made up nonsense.

14.) 22 May 2018 00:13:21
Ed002 good to hear from you. Hope all your wives are good.

15.) 22 May 2018 08:54:22
Dressing to the left/ right is a tailors term referring to where you. hang.

16.) 22 May 2018 10:14:36
If ever there has been a post that makes us blokes with micro penises squirm. We’d take an direction other that an inch due south. (Just me then 😂)

{Ed001's Note - no, Ed0333 knows exactly what you mean which is why he is having an op to resolve that....}

17.) 22 May 2018 10:20:37
What on earth does "where you hang" mean? lol.

18.) 22 May 2018 01:32:00
Ed002, please tell me, after the VVD fiasco we’re not dumb enough to have made another illegal approach to another player, have we?

{Ed002's Note - You mean Solanke?}

19.) 22 May 2018 12:07:13
Solanke? I meant Fekir. But now that you mention it, did the club make an illegal approach for Solanke as well?

{Ed002's Note - You mean as well as Fekir?}

20.) 22 May 2018 13:57:14
Ed002, so basically we’ve made illegal approachs for both solanke and fekir?
What is wrong with the club!

{Ed002's Note - I didn't say that. There was a claim made by a French journalist ago that an agreement had been reached for Fekir to move to Liverpool. I understand that Macca has confirmed this. Lyon were looking in to this given that Liverpool had made no approach to them about this. I don't really understand why you struggle to comprehend this.}

21.) 22 May 2018 13:58:36
Ed002, what i meant to ask was, whether we had made any illegal approach for Fekir, as you said that Lyon were investigating illegal approaches with respect to fekir.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot explain the situation more clearly than I have. Sorry.}

22.) 22 May 2018 14:45:27
hehe, me thinks he's toying with you, Shayan. ;)

23.) 22 May 2018 15:10:54
Shayan. Lyon investigated into whether or not we had illegally approached Fekir after French media proclaimed a deal had been struck. As it stands this is all we know of a potential deal, no contact has been made to Lyon, whether we have contacted Fekir remains to be seen. Ed2 has given this information multiple times across multiple posts.

24.) 22 May 2018 14:49:57
My apologies ed, I misunderstood your reply.

{Ed002's Note - No problem.}

25.) 22 May 2018 18:53:41
Rumors in the papers have said that Klopp met with him last summer and reached a verbal agreement. If that's true I don't know how that isn't tampering so let's hope they lying.

26.) 22 May 2018 19:00:53
The Liverpool Echo are reporting tonight that Liverpool will make contact with Lyon after the final. Nothing should take the focus away from Kiev.

Although the Echo don’t get everything right they are usually more reliable than some of the rags.

01 Jun 2017 10:16:11
With all the rubbish that is being said about, I was wondering Ed002, if you could give us any sort of update on our transfer targets?
Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - I am travelling right now so it is not possible to do too much. Andrew Robertson is certainly of interest.}

1.) 01 Jun 2017 15:16:48
Depressing.

2.) 01 Jun 2017 15:36:51
wow that's refreshing.

3.) 01 Jun 2017 16:18:27
Robertson reminds me of a younger version of alonso from Chelsea.

4.) 01 Jun 2017 16:47:57
Alonsos left nut.

07 Jul 2014 20:19:03
Ed's already read the posts and used the search function but haven't found anything new. so could u please tell me what the current situation regarding rojo is. are we interested and who all are intrested in him?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Back burner.}

28 May 2014 05:05:36
Eds are Soton interested in any of our players who we can use in the lallana deal?

{Ed001's Note - yes, they have interest in Coutinho. Depends on who else they lose this summer as to whether they might show interest elsewhere too, such as Enrique.}

1.) 28 May 2014 08:15:06
Enrique as a replacement for Shaw in part-exchange for one of theirs would be fine. The only 'interest' they can have in Coutinho though, is in watching him play for Liverpool on Tuesday & Wednesday nights.

2.) Surely if we are to add depth we wouldn't part with coutinho? Eds?

3.) We wouldn't let them have Coutinho, would we Ed?

{Ed001's Note - I don't expect it to happen, no. Nothing is ever 100% certain like, but I would rate that as extremely low in the possibility stakes right now.}

A question for Ed002, when payments for transfers are structured, e. g. if say Player X is sold for 20 million and the payment has to be structured over say, 5 years and during the 5 years the paying clubs is unable to pay the amount or defaults in such payment due to financial or otherwise reasons, what happens then?
Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Transfer payments are not spread over 5 years but if a club defaults over payments and are due money from elsewhere it is diverted to the club owed money. This is what led to the downfall of Portsmouth and one of the reasons we now have FFP.}

1.) 19 Sep 2020 17:05:25
Okay. Thank you Ed002. Have a good day.

15 Aug 2020 11:36:50
Ed001 a question for you, who do you think is the better RB, TAA or Kimmich?

{Ed001's Note - Trent is the best in the world right now.}

1.) 15 Aug 2020 11:56:27
Kimmich usually plays as a DM for Bayern now anyway, hence their pursuit of RBs like Sergino Dest.

2.) 15 Aug 2020 13:45:19
Kimmich is a very good player, that’s it. His reputation is enhanced in England by Twitter/ FIFA users who never actually watch Bayern. He is also the subject of cheap comparisons to Lahm, who was a legendary player.
Trent is an inimitable player, no one else is anything like him nor anything like as good as him.

3.) 15 Aug 2020 14:20:31
TAA is the best in the world, IMO but Kimmich is a true baller. The guy plays RB like his natural position and also plays CM/ DM (his natural position) like his natural position. Football intelligence at it's finest with both these phenomenal talents.

4.) 15 Aug 2020 13:45:20

5.) 15 Aug 2020 18:28:28
One of my favourite things about Trent is when he hits a free kick, sometimes he's running for the fans (or cameras) before it's cleared the wall! I love it.

I know I keep having little digs at mo salah. But I assure everyone, I'd take a bullet for him (in the leg) . But it annoys me when he lines up to take freekicks. I can't remember him knocking any in!? OK 1 or 2. Just let Trent take them! (I suppose salah is left footed)

6.) 16 Aug 2020 02:17:18
ed1 - I can't recall what you said so will ask again - regards Trent's position, is there a plan to transition him into midfield at some point over the next couple seasons?

{Ed001's Note - no mate. When he originally came into the team he was a midfielder who just filled a gap but now he has made right back his own.}

Champions of England! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆.

06 Feb 2020 11:04:37
Ed001, I was watching Hoddle talk about bobby and he mentioned the only player of a similar ilk was Teddy Sheringam. I haven't seen Sheringam play all that much. So I would very much like your opinion anout the same.
Thank you.

{Ed001's Note - I can see some similarities, but only some. Sheringham played a similar role, but he did not play it the same way. He was more give and go, with excellent vision and passing range, to play the kind of defence-splitting passes Bobby produces. He also dropped off to create in the same way. However he was not really at the same skill level as Bobby on the ball, he was not going to produce those breathtaking moments of magic that Bobby does. In the air he was much better than Bobby and probably a better finisher, though he played a different era and so was required to get in the box more than Bobby. In Sheringham's day, he was off a sole striker, Bobby has two forwards to get in the box ahead of him, so he probably wasn't as much better a goalscorer as the stats would likely suggest.}

1.) 06 Feb 2020 13:59:42
I always remember Sheringham being instrumental from set plays for Spurs. They always tried new things from corners and I seem to remember him scoring some absolute screamers. I think that was lost when he went to Man United as he wasn't the star man anymore although he did score some pretty important goals for them including the champions league comeback. He was a grafter too much like Bobby; so you can see where the comparison is coming from though he was probably closer to Dirk Kuyt style of player.

2.) 07 Feb 2020 06:30:43
Thank you Ed001. Gun to your head, if you had to replace bobby with someone who would that be and why?

{Ed001's Note - there is no one out there really. However I believe Minamino has been signed to be his long term replacement and he could certainly develop into a good replacement.}

3.) 07 Feb 2020 18:13:44
Harry Kane is more like Sherringham. Actually, i do think as time goes on Kane will drop a little deeper behind the striker. Firmino is like a Cantona for me.

4.) 07 Feb 2020 18:14:47
Ed01's summary is absolutely spot on. I was just about to respond when I couldn't think of anything other to add.

I think bobby is braver than Teddy was. Teddy was too goodlooking for a CF. Whereas Bobby (close up) looks like a middleweight. He never shirks a challenge does he. I really liked Sheringham (b4 utd) and like Bobby his team mates would feed him the ball when they needed a goal.

Teddy better in the air and a better finisher. Bobby more skilful and I'd say the better player.

5.) 07 Feb 2020 18:16:42
What I remember most about Teddy, was the fact that so many times he'd come off the bench and score with his first touch.
It must have happened 8 or 9 times.

6.) 08 Feb 2020 04:24:53
I find similarities to how berbatov could play at times to what bobby does. Both seemingly play at their own pace, drift into deep pockets dragging defences out of shape and when receiving ball to feet nearly always pick the right option. Both players got a silky first touch and capable of quick flicks and tricks to open up attacks. Berbatov was under rated for his playmaking and was lethal at playing the killer ball. Berbatov was more of a clinical box striker than bobby is but bobby is stronger in his aggression and tenacity off the ball but otherwise I see great similarities between the 2.

10 Aug 2019 09:29:01
Ed001, will we get match reviews this season?
Thank You.

1.) 10 Aug 2019 10:03:26
Sorry I didn't answer doh. Well I was thinking I would do them in the Liverpool pods I am doing with Ed0333. We will cover all the stuff I would have put in the reviews but it will take much less time to put together, leaving me more time for other articles etc.

2.) 10 Aug 2019 10:38:47
Ed1, is it possible to do some of your articles in the podcasts instead of writing them? don't get me wrong I love reading them and will continue to do so, it makes no difference to us that do read them but it'd be interesting to hear one on a podcast. Especially one of the legend ones.

{Ed001's Note - I have been doing audio versions of most of them now mate. I will continue to do as many as I can in both formats for the foreseeable future.}

3.) 10 Aug 2019 10:49:58
Excellent, nice one Ed mate, quality! Still haven't listened to the one fully with you and ed333, was meant to last night but it wasn't a chilled night lol, hopefully tonight! Hope you're well and are having a good day mate :) .

{Ed001's Note - I apologise for my swearing! It is the effect Ed0333 has on me, he is a bad influence. Drags me down to his level. I hope you enjoy it anyway, but sorry as I know you have your boy listening.}

4.) 10 Aug 2019 10:55:22
Lol its not a problem at all Ed mate, you don't have to worry about that.

{Ed001's Note - my grandad would disagree. Swearing is fine in normal life, but you should have the vocabulary not to need to swear in professional life (so to speak). That is why he was always disappointed with modern comedians, he always felt they used swearing to get cheap laughs because they were not good enough to make you laugh by being funny. Which is my uncle very rarely swears in his stand up gigs, though he swears like a trooper in normal life. So for me, I feel like it is a mistake when I swear.}

5.) 10 Aug 2019 11:19:57
Looking forward to it ed001. Your articles and podcasts are now an essential part of my daily routine.

{Ed001's Note - thank you. It makes it easier to get up in the morning knowing that. I am not good at getting up early as a rule so it is nice to have a reason. The podcasts are actually, as a rule, much quicker to do, as I don't have to worry too much about grammar and proper English. Though I am sure there are a lot of people out there who would prefer if I did use proper English so they could understand!}

6.) 10 Aug 2019 12:37:54
I thought the f bombs were hilarious. I would agree with your granddad but since yours came rom nowhere and were completely unexpected made them even funnier in my opinion. Oh and Ed033's laugh is infectious. It's easy to tell that you two are close. You should have told him that you love him too.

{Ed001's Note - I would have done but I was brought up not to lie.}

Ed025, ridiculous when you see that casemiro (Who had a terrible season with RM) was selected. And no I'm not over hyping him. I didn't say he was as good as Andre Gomes now did I ed?

{Ed025's Note - if you did you would be lying shayan :), im not a casimiro fan either mate..
