Question re Ilori.

With the deal being loan with an option to sign, does this mean that if Villa want to sign at the end of the loan and meet the terms we are obligated to sell? Or can we still turn down the option?

Thanks

Ronnieross

{Ed002's Note - If Aston Villa and the player want the move to become permanent then that is it.}

Eds can I just ask in general why English clubs don't seem to favor the buy back clause like the Spanish clubs use.

Looking away from Liverpool. Arsenal sold afobe for what 2 mil in January and he seems to have developed quote nicely and is now receiving interest in the region of 10-12 million. Why wouldn't they put in a tidy little buy back clause of like 6 mil, incase they develop.

{Ed002's Note - They are used occasionally by English sides - Chelsea has one for Thorgan Hazard for example. But it impacts the cost of a player, and would in many cases make clubs walk away. Hence, they are rare.}

Ed, thanks for explaining the loan to buy. So is it then the case (hypothetically speaking) that if the player has a stunning season and we wanted him back and we were able to convince him that was the right thing (remember this is hypothetical) then the player could say "I'm off back to Anfield" and there is nothing the loaned-to club could do irrespective of the right to buy?

If so that's good for us. It does make the right to buy a bit meaningless though.

(Note for all those thinking of posting "that situation could never happen because [insert rant here] . RTFP! It's a hypothetical question about the nature of these agreements.)

{Ed002's Note - You are confusing a "loan to buy" with a loan with an option to buy".}

*Villa has no obligation to buy Ilori.
*LFC cannot block a permanent move, provided the fee is met and the player agrees to the move.

Hi

Just to say that Joao Teixeira is getting good reviews at the start of his Brighton loan career, two goals and at least one assist in 3 games.

Hopefully going to be a great loan for him, could be their player of the year if he keeps it up.

Cheers

Hi Ed's

Any chance that Chevrolet advert for that other team could be blocked everytime I log on to the Liverpool page.

Really annoying.

Heard Coates played well last night, are we planning on keeping him? Have always been a fan of his, good on the ball, just lacks a bit of pace.

Thanks

{Ed001's Note - it shouldn't be there, the tags specify Liverpool, so it would say you must be visiting a lot of Man Utd sites through your browser to bring it up.......}

Hi Ed's

Yesil - Has he gone to Turkey? Do you think he will recover from his injuries, so much was thought of this guy when we bought him, how did he perform before the second injury?

If he hasn't gone, any chance we would not buy anyone and give him a chance in a few games or is that too risky?

Thanks

Ronnieross

{Ed001's Note - I don't know to be honest mate. It is very rare a player with his injury history ever recovers though.}

Hi Ed's

Have used the search but no luck, I know you used to do player profiles but couldn't see a link to them, could be me being thick.

Kevin Stewart - how do you see him fitting in? Will he be on the bench for the first team, or just in the U21, we are obviously still looking for a LB so would assume the later.

Any info on him would be great strenghts/weaknesses, why did spurs let him go?

Thanks
Ross

{Ed001's Note - we are starting a new way of doing the player profiles for next season, there are a few new style ones on there: http://www.player-profiles.co.uk/ if you want to have a look and give some feedback. The old way took too much time and effort to keep up with, as they were quickly out of date.

I expect Stewart to be in the U21s, he doesn't look ready for the first team from the little I have seen of him. I haven't seen enough yet to really judge him, from what I saw he looked ok, but I was concentrating on a couple of other players, so never really took a great deal of notice. Difficult to know why Spurs let him go as they have had such a turnover in youth coaching in the last couple of years. I would assume they just didn't think he would make it.}

Why can't people spell Ilori?
