Ballotelli deal done according to Milan channel

Robbie77

{Ed002's Note - They are wrong - it is not done just yet. Mino Raiola has a little trick up his sleeve still.}

Was told by a old man city fan who is also a scout and has very close ties to man city that Micah Richards is anfield bound. I argued the point that I don't think he is good enough or fit enough for us but he was adamant about it. I know others have posted about him and the opinions of other posters. Attitude questionable but maybe rodgers can do something with him, if it is true

Talking to a family friend of Adam Forshaw and they reckon that Liverpool are ready to make a move for him. Apparently he is having an ankle operation at the moment but the ex Everton player is keen to move from Brentford to us should we make the move. Has anyone heard about this lad? Don't know too much about him.

I think that it is about time that our club needs to get written clarification from the FA regarding how to conduct a possible transfer and what is tapping up. We have been guilty of this from academy through to first teamers. I know that we are not the only ones doing this but at the moment the spotlight is on us. Do it right or don't do it at all. If I was a chairman of another club I would point blank refuse to deal with us. We would gain more respect from other clubs if we negotiated in the right way and quietly.

Robbie77

1.) 11 Jun 2017 10:39:40
We don't need a clarification, is quite straight forward. We just need to start following the rules.

17 Jul 2016 17:44:58
Been watching some of the kids coming through the academy for a few years now. Watching today's game and I am impressed with the step up n class that some are showing. Woodburn and Kent showing very well. Hope that they, along with others continue the progress and we will have some great players in a couple of years. Time will tell I suppose but I am optimistic.

Robbie77

1.) 17 Jul 2016 17:52:24
The only worry I have with our kids is that the best of them are all attacking midfielders / wingers and we're well covered, even arguably have too many players, in that area in the first team, so there'll be tough decisions for the management to make.

Its not a problem for Woodburn because he's only 16, but Ojo, Kent and Ejaria could use a good chunk of first team experience this season. If we can't give it to them ourselves we have think about suitable loans - and then if they are gone on loan, not ignore them and buy in 124 other players like we have before.

2.) 17 Jul 2016 17:56:53
Most impressed with Woodburn. A lot of calm and self confidence at such a young age. Very natural in his movement and doesn't try too hard to impress (Kent's guilty of this) . Too early to say of course, but we may have found one!

3.) 17 Jul 2016 18:29:28
Ejaria going to be a boxs to boxs player.

4.) 17 Jul 2016 18:53:26
I like matip he looks assured on the ball.

5.) 17 Jul 2016 19:09:41
Hobbled off before the end, hope he's okay. He does look good on the ball, not seen much of him defensively yet. He looks a little clumsy, hoepfully he will iron that out in preseason.

6.) 17 Jul 2016 19:36:14
Kent has been playing for the U21s for couple of seasons now and perhaps needs first team football, and I think he is one who is ready for a loan as he will have little opportunities this season with Ojo ahead of him along with the senior players. Ejaria will be making the step up full time to the U21 setup next season, so it is really how fast he adapts to that setup that will see him getting involved in the senior team. As an example, Sinclair was outstanding for the U18s but struggled to step up at U21s level, Sterling and Ibe had no problem stepping up like Ojo.

Like Ejaria, Alexander-Arnold, Toni Gomes, Bobby Adekanye, Yan Dhanda, Tom Brewit, Ben Woodburn will likely be involved a lot with the U21s regularly next season.

7.) 17 Jul 2016 20:43:54
Alexander Arnold has a lot about him, good football brain, plays with his head up, nice movement on the ball and a very good range of passing and looks like he'll be a physically imposing lad when he fills out a bit.

All of the talk about which player we, as fans would like to sign and advice to
Klopp as to which players we want is laughable really. Never mind the star players who can take on 20 players and score a worldy goal. its a couple of tough characters we need. Players who don't lie down and don't give up. A couple of players who you can rely on when things go bad. Fighters who get the others giving an extra 5%. Real leaders with attitude. You can have the best 11 players who can roll over teams but when it comes to a battle, a couple of them go missing. A real leader wouldn't let them hide. Second half of the final was an example, no fighters. All of our great teams have had characters who did not like losing, wouldn't accept a loss. All players at this level can play football. Not all have the heart for a battle. My opinion anyway. Not telling Klopp who to sign, he knows more than me.

Robbie77

1.) 15 Jun 2016 08:03:52
You can have all the fighters in the world but if you have players like migs and Moreno who are both likely to make mistakes all it does is encourage the other team to fight more. We've had plenty of fight as shown in the games against villarral and Dortmund. We need to replace those 2 positions, keep injury free and be more consistent.

2.) 15 Jun 2016 08:08:11
The 2x Iceland centre halves as a perfect example.

I see that Mr disagree has been working overtime today. Ah well, if it helps him, carry on.

Robbie77

{Ed091's Note - Dont let it get to you robbie}

1.) 22 May 2016 20:12:21
Well said Ed091 let them have their wee bit of fun bless them.

2.) 22 May 2016 20:28:22
have to wonder how sad their life is to do it mate.

3.) 22 May 2016 21:20:39
Not getting to me at all. In fact I think that it is funny. Mr disagree will end up with a finger 1/ 2 inch shorter. Then we will know who mr disagree really is.

4.) 22 May 2016 22:36:47
If its not getting too you Robbie then why have you put up 3 or 4 posts about it, it doesn't bother me in the slightest and so never mention it.

5.) 22 May 2016 22:46:23
Mr Disagree will be the chap with the blocked nostril as his finger will no longer reach those places that other better fingers can!

6.) 23 May 2016 00:50:41
I once disagreed my own comments after reading it back haha. By the way the Aussie media is going on about there 3-1 win against England when ever that was, so let's hope England can put out a strong performance in the friendly, or I'll never hear the end of it.

what are you lot on about? He wasn't good enough last year or the year before. brutal but honest truth. He was good in his early days but age catches up with everyone. in my heyday I could sing and shout for 2 hours plus. not nowadays. accept it and move on I have seen better players come and go. live with it. its sad but its the here and now.

Ochoa - Ochoa's move to Malaga has not gone well and Liverpool has been maintaining a watching brief. With 13 fingers on one hand and 11 on the other, he would be the ideal fit.}
At least he should be able to catch a ball with all of those fingers.

Keegan wasn't blessed with the skills that some players had. He got to where he got through a superb amount of hard work and determination. His partnership with John Toshack was unbeleivable and the media even made a show about it, they were convinced that the pair were telepathic. All bull as we know but it made good press. He gave us a seasons notice that he was leaving and his best game was his last. 1977 European cup final. Bertie Vogts must still have nightmares about that game.

Unfortunately it is a sign of the times that we are living in. We all want the best players at our club and the money has to come from somewhere. Personally I hate McDonald's but they provide money for every event. Not ideal but it's the way of the world. Who liked carlsberg when they sponsored us? I wouldn't buy any product from sharp when they sponsored man united. We will never all get what we want but we want the money. As I say, not ideal but I can live with it.
