I can throw my hands up and admit I was wrong. I've said some bad things about Milner in the past, but it really looks like he was meant to be in lb. although, our midfield does look so much better without him.

I really don't think we should buy anymore. I think our youth look amazing and if like to see them given a real chance.

Our usual list of ojo, brannagan, Stewart, smith, etc of youth who should be given a chance can now be added to after a strong preseason.

Ejara looks stronger on the ball then lallana and coutinho, you basically have to give away a free kick to get it off him. His body work and ball control is amazing.

Woodburn looks like one for the cup games, at only 16 he has confidence and composure in front of goals.

Flannagan is just a beast. You are not getting past him without earning it. It's time for his regular return

There is more, but I don't want to waste too much of your time :)

For the first time, Australia has LFCTV, and we can watch the youth and preseason games, and I am loving it.

Yes, I'm getting ahead of myself. But I am one excited Aussie fan here.

Ejaria and Woodburn needs to play regular U21s football before they can be imbibed into the senior squad. Comparing the performances of these very inexperienced and not-ready youngsters in a couple of pre-season friendlies to Coutinho is frankly nonsensical.

And with all due respect to Smith, Stewart and Flanagan, I doubt any of them will be usurping their direct competitor in the squad. Brannagan I think will do very well and I would have put faith in him over bringing in Wijnaldum, but Klopp is the boss.

I don't mean to be harsh on the OP, but I think the OP says it himself; he is getting ahead of himself and frankly, this is a classic example of a post where we all build up the younger players up too soon for them to be slaughtered after a game or two in the PL or the Cups.

Voronin was great for us in preseason wasn't he?

3.) 19 Jul 2016 03:22:53
Pre-season games are not games which you should judge how good our players are.

Soton have released Gaston Ramirez. I, for one, reckon we should snap him up for free. It fills our quota of Southampton players this transfer window without having to give up any cash. This will free is up to get players that we need :)

A few seasons ago i'd say 90% of posters on here wanted gaston.

Ojos assist. Omg! Made Shakiri look like a championship player. How great was that?

So awesome to see a forward attack the ball in the 6yd box. Not mentioning any names.

1.) 11 Apr 2016 13:25:28
Digger would have been happy with that assist.

2.) 11 Apr 2016 13:32:25
it did remind me of barnes ron, the simplicity of it was impressive beat the man and whip the cross straight in, we have missed that sort of wing play all season, ojo can be well pleased with his performance.

3.) 11 Apr 2016 15:14:00
Hope we just play Ojo and don't buy anyone to get in his way of the 1st team. Rumours we are signing Dembele bit I hope we use Ojo, Kent and Canos instead.

4.) 11 Apr 2016 15:54:55
That's it that's who I was trying to remember John Barnes. When Ojo did that wee bit of skill then the cross I knew it reminded me of a ex player. Thanks for that Ron.

5.) 11 Apr 2016 19:25:16
In my opinion that was a great piece of man management in taking him off at half time. Sets up a goal on a plate, kids on a massive high. He'll be on that high until the next time he features now. If he takes it in the right way then that can be a massive confidence building experience for him.

Hi Barry,

I think there's a lot of similarities between Ojo and Digger. He moves around the pitch like Digger, it's effortless he just stretches out those long legs and gallops around.

He's going to be a great player and like others have said, there needs to be space for him to come through into the team. That's why I wouldn't spend all our money on a new winger.

Augsburg in the next Europa match. 16 pts from 16 games. Not exactly world beaters, but we seem to struggle in matches where we should dominate. Thoughts?

16 points from 16 games, that's better than Chelsea 😆.

Looks like we will miss out on Ben chingwell as well as the mysterious enigma which was ken aguero.

{Ed001's Note - gutted about that. We can't keep missing out on these world class talents and let the likes of Man City pick up their lesser talented brethren.....}

Newcastle? Their top two keepers are amazing, even their third is good value.

I love Liverpool. always have, but our only champions league run in recent history was an absolute laughable joke. if it wasn't so tragically sad. Honestly, I can't blame him, Rodgers surely looked like taking us in a very poor direction, his transfers didn't look like they were going to make it (look at them now! ), his game play was boring, but he had great 'character ' :)

Still, the way he left was shocking. He and his agent acted like entitled brats. It could have cost us so much, but citeh still stumped up the massive £49 mill.

A return of the boot room staff. that's exactly what this club has been missing, seems like our soul had been taken away when the boot room was let go.

Be only noticed that I have done it once through accident scrolling on the mobile, but there is probably more that I haven't noticed. I try to be more careful, but when you check the site first thing in the morning / last thing at night you can be a little careless sometimes.
