Hi Eds sorry if already covered but are we likely to look for another CM due to Henderson's on going injury issues? Personally not convinced Stewart is ready to step up. Thanks in advance.

{Ed001's Note - Can is the cover there, we have Grujic to cover the advanced positions.}

1.) 03 Apr 2017 08:33:45
Do you expect to see grujic between now and the end of the season a bit more considering injuries to our midfield.

{Ed001's Note - depends, he has missed out due to injury in the past, he has to stay fit first.}

Evening Ed 2 any legs in this quarantined world Cup style end of the season.? Sounds interesting and entertaining if at all possible. Probably a logistical nightmare though.

{Ed002's Note - If you are referring to playing behind closed doors, it won’t work with the PL. If you are talking about CL and EL then it is UEFA looking to make money - but since their plan was hatched for Gdańsk and Istanbul things have changed.}

So fellow reds with a busy schedule and a few injuries to contest with how do we line tomorrow. Do we play the best 11 available and forget Tuesday for now or do we play a slightly weaker team and try to keep it fresher for Tuesday. I'm undecided to be honest. Underestimate Bournemouth at our peril as they are a decent side but at the same time do we stand a better chance winning the CL rather than the pram as City look unstoppable. I'm at Dean Court tomorrow and massively looking forward to the game. What ever jurgrn.

1.) 08 Dec 2018 05:12:52
Play a slightly weaker team = We get beat
Bournemouth play good football and are a credit to Eddie Howe, they are not the best at the back and we can exploit that, but mark my words, they will score against us today and this is way harder than the game on Wednesday gone.

2.) 08 Dec 2018 06:35:27
Put out our strongest eleven and keep fingers crossed we can get a couple of early goals to rest a few players second half. No injuries would also be a blessing.

I see lallana is fit again. IF and that's a big IF he can get back to the form he showed a couple of seasons ago then he could be a major boost to the midfield. 🤞.

1.) 10 Oct 2018 19:10:24
That's a BIGGG if, OP.

2.) 10 Oct 2018 19:25:38
Man, saw a post yesterday about Clyne and the Lallana today lol blasts from the past aye, totally forgot they are in the squad. In Lallana's case it be nice to see him string some minutes together.

3.) 10 Oct 2018 19:43:39
I have my doubts as to whether he can work effectively with this front 3. Much rather have Shaqiri take up that midfield role.

4.) 10 Oct 2018 20:03:34
I can see 'Remember a fit Lallana' gang coming back to the site 😂😂. Should have sold him last summer and replaced by James Maddison!

5.) 10 Oct 2018 20:05:53
He has always been a talented player, a fit lallana can only be a good thing.

6.) 10 Oct 2018 20:36:31
It’ll take him a LONG time to get back to his pre-injury form 🤝.

7.) 10 Oct 2018 20:38:30
I agree ra, I honestly don't think the lad has a future at the club. Of course though I hope I'm wrong, I just can't see how he's going to fit in, Shaqiri fits our style much better. I see Lallana in cup games maybe but that's about it.

8.) 10 Oct 2018 21:48:08
Like any sensible supporter I hope that he regains his form of a couple of seasons ago and becomes an important player for us again.

9.) 11 Oct 2018 05:35:20
Lallana has not touched the ball in two years. please stop expecting miracles from him. its not going to happen. He won't be starting any game soon.

10.) 11 Oct 2018 09:03:21
Sell Lallana in Jan and buy Fekir.

11.) 11 Oct 2018 09:55:07
Salah, that first year when Klopp came in, Lallana was vital to the pressing game. That was his strong skill, while he didn't offer much with his offensive side given the pirouettes and doodling with the ball. He was the triger for the press. Now Firmino has that role. And Henderson, Milner and Wijnaldum have taken the press to a higher level (when we decide to use it) . What can Lallana do now? I agree with you in the need to move him on. It's doing a disservice to his career to hold on to him. Let him move on, get one last payday and make the most of it for himself.

12.) 11 Oct 2018 11:58:54
Nailed it ArAay.
Lallana could only press! He was under the shadow of Coutinho all his life. He has no vision to play deeper. Lallana has no pace to play on the flanks and he isn’t good enough with his vision to play deeper.

13.) 11 Oct 2018 12:09:45
salah fail to see your point? shaq was largely not wanted for his laziness and in the 200 minutes of first team football has proved us wrong which I'm thankful for. but that's about 3 games.

How that is a better fit than one of the most hard working players that we have had the only 2 years ago was one of the best in our team and shown his quality?

the lallana of 2 years ago is perfect for our system and would add some much needed impetus to our attack if we can get him back to that level.

Hes a quality player that blends in our system seamlessly - whether he's here beyond this season is a big question but a fully fit lallana on the bench could still play a big part in the seasons title race.

14.) 11 Oct 2018 12:48:00
I agree that it will take a lot of time for Lallana to get ip to speed given a Long time out on the sidelines. However, I am not sure if Shaqiri is ready to play in a pressing midfield 3. It will take him time to get used to our style, and with the press you need all 10 outfielders contributing as one unit. Not saying he won’t get there, but it will take time (like it did with the Ox) . I think Keita will come in in midfield and try to play the more attacking / Creative role and Shaq will continue to cover for the front 3 along with Sturridge.

15.) 11 Oct 2018 13:17:39
A loan deal for him would be ideal to improve his fitness and we can recoup some of the wages. I’d sooner him show his worth, rather than ride on one seasons performance. Good luck to him either way!

16.) 11 Oct 2018 14:23:34
You've said it yourself swish, the lallana of two years ago, sure would be brill for the team now but we're 2 years later mate and he's not good enough for this team accept that or not that's your opinion but please tell me, do you think he can add anything to this team? He can't and Shaqiri can, a player I was against us signing but he's certainly proved he's capable.

Agreed ra.

17.) 11 Oct 2018 16:03:32
Oh Man. Harry is agreeing with me. The World is coming to an end. And I'm going to start losing my hair like Ed001. 😵.

18.) 11 Oct 2018 19:53:20
Lallana will do well to get into this team as it is cos like it or not, the team he thrived in two years ago is light years behind this one. In fact, I would understand if he ha been playing a bit in the past two years BUT he has not, unfortunately. His task is now two-fold. First regain full fitness and secondly, try to get up to speed with a team that has left him way behind. Good luck, Adam lad cos you're going to need every ounce of it going forward.

04 Oct 2018 21:03:00
Hi ed have you heard anything about Naby's fitness? Sorry if its already been asked.

{Ed025's Note - he is back in training luke and expected to be available for selection against city mate..

1.) 04 Oct 2018 23:10:59
Cheers ed.

{Ed025's Note - no problem luke..

15 Sep 2018 13:33:27
Would love to see shaquiri get a game. Salah still not quite at it.

1.) 15 Sep 2018 16:43:37
I knew there was going to be a lot of pressure on salah this season. I think he will get over 20 but I'm not expecting another 40 goal season.

Also, Liverpool are playing less "heavy metal football" and have moved to a more classy rock n roll. We don't score as many but we don't concede as many and have won every game, top of the league.

Would you rather salah won the golden Boot or Liverpool win the league? UK.

It was like watching us pre Van Dyke. 3 points on the board but watching us this season will not be boring.

Yes Key workers will carry on regardless but the rest of the country is starting to go back to work not just key workers. Do the players have right to voice their concerns? Yes. But let's face it they will probably work in safest environment going with all the money that the PL will throw at it.
They should be safe I agree and football should wait until its safe but surely if the rest of the country is encouraged to go back why shouldn't they. They can put things in place to train safely and hopefully in the weeks to come it will be safe enough to kick off again. I for one can not wait.
From a Key Worker who took that oath.

Very point that ed. I'm very proud of the lads but also gutted. I just hope we win the UCL because it will give this already great team that little but more of an edge going into next season. COYR.

I thought Burnley was the harder for them anyway due to current form. United have been shocking for weeks and Burnley will be no walk over at their place.

I LOVE Klopp however I have no doubt Pep would be successful wherever he goes he is simply the best manager in world right now. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't change klopp and he is up there which would make it even more or an achievement if we do make it to the promised land. Simply that city squad pound for pound is probably the best in the world.

{Ed0333's Note - Brendan Rogers takes umbrage at you calling pep the best coach in the world.
