Just a quick question Ed's. Is there a reason you don't see so many linked feeder clubs anymore and with the virus impact do you see it potentially becoming more popular.

If so, which clubs do you think are most likely for LFC to link with?

Redkieran414

{Ed002's Note - Some clubs build relationships so that they can send players on loan with confidence that they will be treated well and gain experience (e.g. Chelsea with Vitesse Arnhem and PSV), others have died a death over the years (e.g. Manchester United and Royal Antwerp), some have gone further (Manchester City using other clubs in the City Football Group fold to send players to) and some have gone further still (Dmitry Rybolovlev who owns Monaco has purchased Cercle Brugge as a feeder club).

Liverpool tried to build a relationship with Genk in Belgium but it went nowhere.

Wouldn't tranmere rovers be a good feeder/ loan club for liverpool youngsters wouldn't have to move and currently leave 1 if the youth are good might get them championship.

{Ed002's Note - That would not work.}

Fair enough ed just a drunken lads thought. any ed wisdom you could share with us. I know give up drinking is one that I should probably take on board but I do limit at five times a year.

Thanks for the response Ed. Could you see any particular club other than Genk being used as a feeder club? We appear to have good working relationships with RB Salzburg - could be worth a shot?!?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool do not appear to be looking to build such a relationship at this time.}

We used to have it with Crewe Alexandra, from whom we signed Rob Jones and then later Danny Murphy. I seem to remember that Phil Charnock was linked with Crewe - not sure if he came from there or if he went to Crewe from Liverpool.

Hi All,

I have been thinking for some time (even before we won our 6th Champions League Title) that we have one of the best managers of all time.

Who would be with me to petition the renaming of The Kop to 'Klopp's Kop' or 'The Klopp. ' Thoughts?

Many Thanks.

I used to stand on The Kop and be carried by the crowd forward and backwards when we scored with my feet barely touching the ground for an entire game in the early 90s - he’d have to achieve a lot more to change the name of The Legendary Kop 😃.

2.) 17 Dec 2019 19:38:36
The Kop is a part of British history and particularly that of northern England.
Research it if you’re not aware of this.
Klopp’s a great Liverpool manager but not the greatest.
Yet, anyway.

I've always thought that there should be a song for Klopp, based on Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne. "Klopp on the Kop! "

4.) 17 Dec 2019 19:43:29
I presume this is some sort of joke?

If we put Kenny's name on the Centenary Stand instead of The Kop, then The Kop is not being named after anyone.

5.) 17 Dec 2019 22:42:38
Why would you alter the name of one of footballs most famous stands for a manager who has been here a few years and won a couple of trophies? Klopp has been a breath of fresh air since he took over but he is still light years from the legendary status bestowed on Shankley, Paisley and Dalglish.

6.) 18 Dec 2019 01:12:17
dont think even Klopp would want that!

7.) 18 Dec 2019 05:06:36
Don't overthink things lad, Klopp is top class but his first name will never be Spion.

8.) 18 Dec 2019 09:48:48
No I won't sign the petition. But I will make a prediction. I believe klopp is really going to help us dominate European football for a long time and I think he'll get a statue. I know it's rare but so is klopp. If he wins a few league titles he could well go down as the greatest Liverpool manager. Shanks was not only a football genius but he had charisma and the fans, players and media loved him. Remind you of anyone?

I wouldn’t put it past Ward and Edwards for this to have been part of the plan. Agree a deal late in the day, with little time to push through which makes a statement to the player we really wanted him. Also when Fulham agreed to our offer we would have been allowed to speak to Carvalho’s family on terms of the deal - player sets his heart on a move to us. Neco Williams sweetens the deal for Fulham putting us a bit more in their favour too.

Come May when we can speak to him we have a player who has his heart set on us so hopefully spurs other advances, won’t need to go to tribunal as we have already agreed a max fee already which Fulham we’re happy with and we could prob negotiate for us to get him slightly cheaper given Neco loan and as not 6 months left in his contract.

Maybe I have overthought this a little too much though 🤣🤣.

I read somewhere that Liverpool would get somewhere in the region of £50mil for taking part. So this alone would be better than the $5mil for winning. Is this true Ed’s?

Redkieran414

{Ed001's Note - I doubt the money has been decided yet.}

Maybe Tex moved for quick pay day with view of moving to Liverpool in the Summer maybe? Perhaps a way of getting round the fact SD clearly didn't want to do business with us. Unlikely but worth a thought.

Redkieran414

{Ed002's Note - No Keiran - he won't be moving to Liverpool in the summer.}
