See in the Times today we are predicted to be 6th. Think that's fair. Interestingly spuds 5th and Man U 3rd.

We can't defend.
Did you watch the game? We scored 3 goals, the first of which was a worldie. To say we lack creativity is plain rubbish. Power is not the same as steal. Steal means you have the ability to dig deep and make sure you do your job even when you don't fancy it and also to make sure others do theirs.

Balls over the top are difficult for us yes and speed is vital so a fast CB may help. Both Lovren and Matip are not the quickest but not the slowest. Its mainly because our fullbacks are up the pitch when we lose the ball that the counter works so well against us. The goals by Watford all came from sloppy defending though IMO. Matip gave the ball away for the first goal where Lovren made the block that lead to the corner. We did not attack that corner with any conviction nor on the 3rd goal. The way we set up as a team and our mental attitude is more to blame than speed.

Meyer and Sarr are 18 and 21. They have potential but we need players that will come into the first team now. Not sure either will cut it straightaway (although granted may do in the future. )

This will be controversial
Matuidi - leadership and strength.
Savic at Lazio - strength and passing
Jonny Evans - a decent centre half that's underrated and better than Lovren IMO
Diego Costa - not sure what the issue is but is quality still.
Fabregas - still a great player.
Its all very well buying young players but you need a experience, leadership and grit. We have very little and my selections have tried to address that. Those young nippy little forwards are great but do sweet FA for our defence. Juve, BM, Barcolona, Real all have experience and Leadership in spades.

I hope so (he is class but a little bit of what we have already) but I would go for Matuidi. He would add a bit of steal.
