Ahoy there eds,
Do you have any thoughts as to which club will swoop in and snatch LFC target Valon Berisha hours before he signs?

MrSpiggot

{Ed001's Note - I don't believe we are targeting him.}

Hello eds,
Can you shed any light on the de Jong loan move rumours?
Surely the club couldn't afford his wages and seal the deal for Salah could they?

MrSpiggot

{Ed002's Note - I don't see why Milan would let him go on loan.}

Sky are reshowing their excellent 2017 biography 'Kenny' tonight on Sky Documentaries at 7.15 PM

It's quite fascinating to hear him say he resigned because he felt unable to make decisions during the 4-4 at Goodison.

I've seen it twice now, it is fantastic, and to me, very moving.

Same mate. Welling up to say the least. Love the man.

Long live the King.

Thanks Mr spiggot.

There is a 90 minute BBC Scotland documentary about Mr Shankly on BBC2 at 10 tonight!

A cracking way to spend Sunday evening.

Kind of a daft time to show it while Liverpool are playing Dortmund.

2.) 22 Jul 2018 19:35:49
I’ll catch up with it on the iplayer, clashes with the match unfortunately.

Apparently Fekir passed last night's medical, and is signing a 5 year deal @ 140,000 sterlings per week.

That's a lot of Raheems! :)

2.) 08 Jun 2018 11:34:17
That's what I heard but didn't want to say incase I was wrong and I am known to be wrong.

3.) 08 Jun 2018 13:06:44
Great chirp Jurgen!

Eds. if Fabinho will be the No 6, will Keita and AOC be No 8s?

Apparently LFC made contact with Monaco last summer, very impressive that the interest has been kept so quiet.

45 million euros, plus 5 million in bonuses seems like a very reasonable deal.

MrSpiggot

{Ed002's Note - You cannot have two players wearing number 8.}

1.) 28 May 2018 23:01:29
I foolishly assumed an ed would assume I meant alternately, as in different games.

But thanks anyway.

{Ed002's Note - One in each half, no that is not allowed either.}

2.) 29 May 2018 00:17:44
Ed I assume you haven't watched much grassroots footie? A lot of times a player comes off they swap shirts with the guy coming on! Clearly Ox will just give his shirt to Keita at half time!

3.) 29 May 2018 03:58:21
The referees are going to be more confused than when they sent off Gibbs for Ox.

4.) 29 May 2018 19:21:31
isn’t there only a certain time frame when numbers can be changed? Like before the season starts and in January for new signings?

They can’t be changed willy nilly once registered right? Probably completely wrong xD.

5.) 29 May 2018 20:04:57
Brilliant ed.

06 Jan 2018 21:36:40
Eds,
A couple of questions for you, if you can oblige:

I've used the search function but can't find an answer as to the reasons for why Can has been allowed Can to run his contract down.

I'm aware JK isn't convinced about him, but the fact he can walk for free in a few months is deeply frustrating, and surely runs counter to FSG's investor mind set.

I'm fuming about this. why isn't Jurgen the German convinced about him?
Is EC just unrealistic in requiring a guarantee of game time?

Secondly, I follow two Brazilian journos who are usually spot on reliable with regards FCB.
Both say LFC have been asked if Rafinha is of interest.

Do you know if this the case?
And if yes, what the response would have been?

Muchas gracias.

MrSpiggot

{Ed002's Note - If he doesn’t want to sign a new contract he can let it run down - it is out of the hands of the club. Rafinha is correct - maybe they got the information from here.}

1.) 06 Jan 2018 22:03:56
I don’t understand why any fan gives 2 hoots about a player running their contract down.
It’s their career, if they fulfil a contract why shouldn’t they be allowed to continue their career how they see fit?
So we could have got £20million for him, so what? Do you think FSG would have used that £20m to lower ticket prices? So why would you care?

2.) 06 Jan 2018 22:33:09
Ed, Regarding Rafinha, he isn't part of the Couts deal but could he still arrive as a seperate deal then?

{Ed002's Note - why do you try to complicate everything.}

3.) 06 Jan 2018 22:35:26
As long as a player plays with the same motivation and enthusiasm in their last game as they did in their first game, i actually think it takes a great deal of loyalty to see out a contract in the modern game.

Unfortunately, most players seemingly run down their contracts so they can get the large signing on fee and slightly higher wages that are commonplace with a Bosman deal. That intention becomes more suspicious when players like Alexis Sanchez and Emre Can put in the bare minimum effort for clubs that have done nothing but back them and pay them handsomely for about 4 years, in the final years of their contracts. A stark contrast to say, Robert Lewandowski who literally played the season of his life in his final year at Dortmund, despite knowing full well he wasn't and staying.

4.) 06 Jan 2018 22:40:49
Spiggot what makes u sure clubs would have been interested in Can if he was expensive to buy (like a value of 30 to 50 million) ? He's simply not good enough to be offerred a new contract. Juve r mostly only interested bcoz he's free. He may be a good player in the italian league we have to wait and see but will never be good enough in the PL. He's severly lacking in game reading plus the fact that he slows plays down.

5.) 06 Jan 2018 23:28:06
Thanks for the reply ed002

But you didn't say what LFC's response was likely to be with regards the Rafinha question.

Also, I get that JK isn't convinced about Can, no problem, but why wasn't he sold?

{Ed002's Note - I have ex[plained before that Klopp likes Rafinha. Why wasn't Can sold when - and who to?}

Ed002.I would be able to match Rodger's win percentage, if I had Suarez to make me appear a 'tactical genius'

Wasn't he instructed to ditch Pascoe, by the club?

If so, he is a craven, backstabbing shyster, totally undeserving of any trust whatsoever.

Venison. the man with the most appalling dress sense in the entire world.

I once saw him wearing a suit jacket, which had big white feathers emblazoned on it.

Completely bizarre.

What a first eleven though.

The Dell was a great ground to buy a Wagon Wheel, long after it had been withdrawn from sale at more lardy dah grounds.

The open air urinals were old school as well.
