I know we have to give Jota time to gain some match fitness but I can’t recall being so excited about having an attacker back since the season Suarez was suspended for a few of the opening games.

Hey ed1, hope you good! What’s your opinion on Grujic he seems like a very tidy player and someone who could fit into the team nicely long term? I know there is a lot of competition in the midfield and it’s only been a handful of games but the kid does look commanding on the ball and isn’t afraid to defend.
{Ed001's Note - he is a very good player, the real issues are his work permit requirements and the fact that we need cash could see him end up being sold. I would like to see him kept if possible though.}

Ed001 I thought he had a really good game and he was really strong in the tackle the one tackle on the edge of Arsenal’s box where he went through 2 players reminded me of the days where you would have proper 50:50. He is all so a real danger in there box from corners and free kicks. I to would love to see him stay if the rumours about Shaq are true that’s gets us back to the HG Quoter.
{Ed001's Note - he was excellent in the Bundesliga, so I would prefer to keep him if possible. You are right, he is a real danger on set pieces and also a great help in defending them.}

Have to agree about Grujic. He definitely looked sharp and he held his own along with Curtis against 3 senior Arsenal midfielders (considering Wilson was nowhere to be seen throughout the game) .
The aerial presence will also be a big help from set pieces.
I don't particularly rate Grujic but I'd rather have him in the squad than the likes of Wilson or Origi (our team has passed these players by as we have gotten better) .

Not sure about Grujic. Clearly a good player but don't think he fits with us. Bit too ponderous on the ball and too interested in long range shots.

Southampton and West Ham supposedly interested in him. Wouldn't mind seeing him go on loan in the Premier league.

As an African who’s also an LFC fan who cringes whenever our players go for AFCon in Jan. I think AFCon is an important tournament for many people in the continent and around the world and there’s nothing great about it getting cancelled despite club allegiances.
