If Konate screws us for those frauds in Madrid then I will find it very difficult to 'be kind'. For me he will have no part in 'MY' Liverpool history and I wish him no success in his future endeavours.
People should think in whatever way they want, but there is literally no point slagging off the players on our books. They are doing a job until they are gone and if they aren't giving 100 then that's down to the Manager. Either fix them or stop picking them.
However comments like 'not what we need' or 'we need better' are opinions that are fair. 'He's a donkey' or 'not fit to wear the shirt' are embarrassing as they still have more talent in their small toes than anyone posting here.

No thanks, he's a great striker for poor teams. Would do a outstanding job for Moyes, but totally wasted for Slot. Football really is horses for courses and to me he is a steeple chaser being entered at Goodwood. Feels like the Carroll experiment all over again.

Just tell him we won't do a release clause as it sets a precedence and we will not sell at La Liga valuations. However to achieve a going rate to replace is all we look to get.
Others will disagree but he is never going to be near a VVD, he is a good CB with a sizable stature, but not a brilliant footballer. We have to be realistic and treat his resigning as a bonus and 'going rate' is better than free. He can definately be replaced and we buy time to do that if he signs.
