are real madrid interested in sadio mane Ed's?

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid are still looking at a major revamp and are using Eden Hazard on the LW which was not their plan. They have plans to bring in a specific RW/S in mind and a couple of alternatives but are likely need to hold on to Asensio who they would rather let move on once fully fit - which he may not have proven by the summer. They have a bunch of senior players they have available for horse trading, particularly James Rodriguez, Isco and Bale and will look to include them in any deal. I am not aware of any direct approach to the clubs for Mane or indeed Sterling at this time and it sounds rather speculative that they would go down that route - but they will be in thir thoughts as it is not working out for Vinicius Jr at this time either.}

1.) 01 Jan 2020 19:51:08
Everything that Sadio Mane wants to achieve he can achieve by staying at Liverpool fc.
I am confident that Mane will remain a red for a very long time.
ED002 thank you for such a detailed answer.

2.) 01 Jan 2020 21:25:42
What if he wants to win the FA Vase?

3.) 01 Jan 2020 23:06:12
Canโ€™t he do that with the under twenty threes now ;)

4.) 02 Jan 2020 07:38:29
I believe it is only natural for RM or Barcelona to look at our players because they are flourishing under Klopp at the moment. However, this time around we should have the power to hold on to our key players because we've tied down Klopp on a long term contract, the club is doing pretty well at the moment and we're on course to win the Premier League, we've proven that we can win the CL and our players are reaping the benefits of being world class at the moment under Klopp. So, if a player wants to leave, it'll most likely be a case that they've won everything that needs to be won and they want to do it in a different country. Or maybe some players are not getting the minutes they expect, like Shaq. but for those who are not getting enough game time, we'd probably won't miss them that much anyway. Mane though, I feel he is vital for the team, even more than Salah in my opinion.

5.) 02 Jan 2020 12:21:56
Donโ€™t underestimate the pull of the Spanish sunshine DAP. Football wise it would make little sense but they do have lives outside football.

6.) 02 Jan 2020 19:04:16
Beckers, I'm sure African players place less importance on Mediterranean sunshine, than say, Scandinavian or other Western Europeans.

7.) 03 Jan 2020 03:20:08
RM and Barcelona will always have the lure as long as they are successful and have world class players in their team. However, we now have a good foundation and reason for players to stay in Liverpool because we've shown that we can perform and win at the highest level. The other possible reason for leaving is money. We don't pay as much as some teams do, and although that's not a bad thing for LFC. but money dictates many things these days, so. we have to anticipate that as well.

8.) 03 Jan 2020 08:48:01
DAP - "A good foundation" that's a massive understatement. Agreed on the money side but I expect the better we do on the field the more money will be earnt. Some of the extra will of course be paid to the players. VVD, Mane, Salah they all should be on ยฃ300k a week in todays market.

27 Jan 2018 22:12:11
just read that liverpool has had a bid for alisson becker rejected. do you know if it is true ed002?

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. Roma has players to be sold but not Allison before the summer. Obviously a way over the top bid mid change minds.}

1.) 27 Jan 2018 22:36:56
Is a deal possible for Allison or Lemar as examples, for us to agree a Keita type deal. We pay the clubs a little over the price but we get the players in the summer.

If we don't make the top 4 I doubt these type of players would come.

{Ed002's Note - The issue with Allison is now he will have a new interested party (I explained a while back that this coulda happened) and he has. Liverpool could start talking with Roma to see if anything could be done. As for Lemar the Monaco position is unchanged but Michael Emanalo will be in London to talk with another side in the next couple of days, so Liverpool could ask for a chat - maybe they have already?}

2.) 27 Jan 2018 22:58:17
I was afraid of that re Allison from what you said before, but will keep hopeful as he looks perfect for us. The rest amazing knowledge as usual.

3.) 28 Jan 2018 06:29:27
PSG not signing Alisson in the summer?

4.) 28 Jan 2018 11:43:27
I'm guessing the other side is Arsenal Ed?

{Ed002's Note - What?}

5.) 28 Jan 2018 19:57:40
More likely to land Boris Becker.

01 Jun 2017 09:05:40
Hi ED's
james pierce said yesterday that clyne hade handed in a transfer request.
Do you know if this is just rubbish or what?

{Ed025's Note - wishful thinking liss..

1.) 01 Jun 2017 09:31:14
Guess so haha.

2.) 01 Jun 2017 10:09:51
Good one there ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Ed025.
Hola mate.

3.) 01 Jun 2017 10:37:16
No he didn't!

28 Oct 2016 15:02:49
Ed001, do you know if we are still looking to bring in a new left back? and if so, do you know who we are looking at? or are we happy with milner and moreno? personally have to say i think milner is doing very well, and still hope moreno will improve enough to be our first choise left back for years to come.

{Ed001's Note - Milner does not see his long term future at left back, which is the issue really. He is beginning to settle in, but Moreno is not pushing him for his place at all, even though he has knuckled down and worked hard, he is just not learning. We are still considering Tierney of Celtic, but there are a few other clubs, such as the Manchester clubs and Arsenal, also looking at him.}

1.) 28 Oct 2016 15:52:59
Would love us to get Tierney we always win trophies with Scots in the side. Unfortunately he is the only Scottish player good enough at the moment to play for us . He has still got a lot to learn but in my opinion he would be more than just potential.

2.) 28 Oct 2016 16:39:32
Milner doesn't still see himself as a CM does he ed?
He must surely see he's doing better at left back and therefore should be happy he's a better and more important member of the team and more likely to win trophies as a result?

{Ed001's Note - he would prefer to be in central midfield yes, though he is beginning to find his feet at left back, so perhaps he will grow to love it. While things are going well, it is one thing, but that could change so easily, so only time will really tell. He is certainly a lot happier about being left back than he was initially.}

3.) 28 Oct 2016 17:04:02
thank you the answer Ed001!
great work you guys do on here.
very apreciated.

{Ed001's Note - you are very welcome mate.}

4.) 28 Oct 2016 19:24:09
Better than the bench from his point of view i suppose.

5.) 28 Oct 2016 20:34:46
Moreno showed us that he has not improved during his time out of the side. His woeful defensive display against Tottenham included his "trademark" tackles in the penalty area, his complete lack of positional awareness and his inability to deliver any attacking end product.

We just need a replacement as he is a liability. I'm still baffled that a replacement wasn't a priority pre season.

If Milner picks up any injury or suspension we will be back to seeing every team attacking us down Moreno's flank knowing that that is our week link!

6.) 28 Oct 2016 21:14:15
To be fair, he wasn't bad against Tottenham and even looked like he has learned a lesson or two. Nothing to suggest he takes his position back, but give credit where it's due. He certainly wasn't woeful.

7.) 29 Oct 2016 08:37:39
We shall have to agree to disagree Amerigo ๐Ÿ˜

I saw nothing against that very weak Tottenham side that showed Moreno has improved.

8.) 29 Oct 2016 10:52:03
I agree with Amerigo, his time out and hard work seem to have improved him from woeful to deeply average if the spurs game is anything to go by.

9.) 29 Oct 2016 10:59:29
Ed1 would you prefer Tierney or would you want TAA to be given his chance? I understand for TAA it's probably a little to early. I know nothing about Tierney I just don't want incoming when we have these youngsters you know?

{Ed001's Note - TAA all day long.}

10.) 29 Oct 2016 11:00:25
Nevermind sorry I got the wrong end of the stick and thought we was talking about clynes position again lol.

11.) 29 Oct 2016 11:12:32
Thought Moreno did ok at Spurs but yet again let himself down by getting caught upfield at 2-1 with minutes to go and but for some poor control would've been punished for it. If you look at his reaction at the time he knew it too. He seems a nice lad but like others have said he just doesn't seem to learn.

12.) 29 Oct 2016 11:18:08
TAA is exciting thanks ed1.

13.) 29 Oct 2016 11:25:00
Ed, just to add something to the left back thread, it was clear we were after a young left back following our pursuit of Ben Chilwell in the summer.

With numerous clubs circling and him not being on a professional contract yet, do you see us being interested in Josh Tymon of Hull City?

{Ed001's Note - he has been recommended to us, so I would expect us to be interested. I never realised he was a left back though.}

14.) 29 Oct 2016 15:10:16
Thanks for the reply Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

15.) 30 Oct 2016 03:14:18
If Milner do not find his long term at LB, then I think we need find replacement for Milner and LB.

16.) 30 Oct 2016 21:11:59
ed001 - is there general agreement within the club that we need to recruit someone for LB? I remember Klopp saying something like we have options etc, but I just can't see that he would truly be satisfied with this current situation where Milner is playing out of position (albeit very well) and Moreno as the main competition?

do you see any suitable players out there that we should be bringing in? or should we continue to develop TAA and J. Gomez etc?

{Ed001's Note - the club are continuing to look around for a left back yes. Neither TAA nor Gomez are seen as left backs.}

17.) 31 Oct 2016 09:25:09
Do you think it's likely we will look to buy a new LB in the January transfer window or is it more like the summer?

Personally I'm hoping Moreno keeps up his good form and we don't need to buy anybody else but we'll see. I think finally he's really looking quite good and deserves another chance, even over Milner. Milner no doubt did great in that position but if he's not happy there then Moreno deserves another go and the past 2 games he's played (especially Saturday) he's impressed me. I'll probably get slammed for this but its just my opinion. Credit to the lad.

{Ed001's Note - summer is most likely now.}

18.) 31 Oct 2016 10:49:42
hello Ed01, do you see any future for Moreno in Liverpool, say as a left winger?

{Ed001's Note - not as a left winger, no. If he can continue to work hard at his game and improve, then he has a future.}

19.) 01 Nov 2016 08:21:31
I've never seen this Tierney lad play so I'm not writing him off. A word of caution though, Scotland has been a dire league for years and is almost wrapped up already by a Club which has been royally hammered in Europe. In short, looking good in Scotland might not be much of a testimonial and just because some big clubs are monitoring him says very little. Everyone's after decent defenders and any player showing even a little promise will invite a bidding-war.
I'd stick with a very impressive Milner with Gomez, Klavan and Moreno as back-up till the end of the season. I stand to be corrected on Tierney if it happens but I think we're too well equipped in the LB department to be panic-buying until at least the end of the season.

20.) 01 Nov 2016 16:07:22
What about Jon Flannagan? He seemed to do fine a few seasons ago when we nearly won the title. He is back from a long injury, and if he is performing well, then why not bring him back from his loan? He is a class played in my opinion.

05 Oct 2016 21:44:51
reading that we want to take kondogbia from inter milan on loan in january. anything to it, or just rubbish journalism?

1.) 05 Oct 2016 22:33:22
If reports are to be believed, there seems to be trouble brewing at Dortmund, with talk of a rift between Tuchel and their head scout.
Let's hope that any unrest at the club, could help us in our pursuit of Pulisic.

2.) 06 Oct 2016 08:15:11
Let's hope we stand by the team thatSiS performing so well going forward. We don't need Kondogbia or Pulisic. With Kondogbia we already have Grujic and Stewart who need minutes and are progressing well, even Can.
With Pulisic take your pick of players who need more minutes. Sturridge, Ings and Origi could all come in and allow Firmino to drop back.
The team is performing well, why create any discord by bringing in more youngsters or players who won't get minutes.

3.) 06 Oct 2016 11:26:46

Kondogbia is nothing like Grujic. He is a solid holding player, While Pulisic is an exciting young winger again not similar to any of Sturridge, Ings and Origi ( All strikers )
If you need a winger you need to play a winger and not a striker altering the formation and playing them out of their position. Sturbridge currently is suffering from this change.

4.) 06 Oct 2016 12:10:10
Is Pulisic a better option than Ojo?

I don't think so, we have Ojo if we want a young fast exciting winger. We also have Ryan Kent (on loan) and Harry Wilson.

We need to stop stockpiling players! It is ridiculous! The same people wanting to sign x, y, z from a, b, c then moan like crazy if a young player leaves on a free because they can't get a game.

Andy is correct. If anything we need to trim the squad a bit more rather than further stockpiling.

5.) 06 Oct 2016 12:48:13
I saw Kondogbia live when he was at Seville and he looked fantastic that game, technique and strength were excellent for a young lad. But something must be wrong as he went to Monaco and then Inter within 2-3 years. If JK could get the best out of him, then what a player but what are his problems?

6.) 06 Oct 2016 12:52:08

I did not mean to buy players. I just showed the diffefence in the players mentioned.
On another note, kent and Wilson are no where near to Pulisic. You haven't see him play mate. He is a really good player.

7.) 06 Oct 2016 13:14:24
As much as I'd like to have a young, exciting American at the club, I don't know where he'd find the minutes right now. I could see one of Coric or Pulisic coming in next season if we are in the Champions League, but definitely not mid-season.

8.) 06 Oct 2016 15:56:09
Maybe move coutinho into cm maybe add more squad players who can play the high press football.

9.) 06 Oct 2016 16:26:59
The only way I see a Kondogbia loan or purchase happening is if it has already been decided that Lucas is moving on this January, Stewart is seen only as a backup, and Klopp has decided that he wants more steel in midfield than Wijnaldum and Lallana are providing now. Probably just lazy journalism.

10.) 06 Oct 2016 16:41:15
Mentioned this to my mate who's a die hard Inter fan. He said he hadn't heard anything about the loan, but Medel is keep Kondogbia out of the side currently. 'needs a rocket up his ar*e' were his words.

Not that this means he's coming but if he's not getting game time, he may well be available.

{Ed002's Note - Medel is not keeping him out of the team - Kondogbia's dreadful attitude is. Inter will be open to selling at around โ‚ฌ30-โ‚ฌ35M.}

11.) 06 Oct 2016 19:12:41
Avoid players with bad attitude s at all cost 11 milners over 11 Balotellis every time.

12.) 06 Oct 2016 23:40:25
All the great successful manager have always had a constant revolution policy.

It keeps the existing players looking over their shoulders at every transfer window so that no matter how well you've done till now is ok but its the managers job to improve the squad one way or the other.

13.) 07 Oct 2016 01:21:56
I liked Kongdogbia and thought we should have gone for him a couple of Seasons ago when Gerard left, and I can see how having a young potentially world class holding midfielder could be good for the future, but right now I'd rather develop Can and Grujic there, particularly if he has apparent attitude problems. As for Pulisic, again I can see mane is our only true winger, but unless Coutinho drops back into midfield we are well enough stocked and I really want to see Ojo get a shot.

14.) 07 Oct 2016 02:25:20
He's not needed/ wanted.

15.) 07 Oct 2016 10:06:43
As Ron has mentioned, we have Ojo, fantastic young talent in my opinion, he can make it this lad. The 2 main players I want to see more of is Ings and Ojo.

16.) 07 Oct 2016 22:14:56
Coutinho has a goal/ assist every 70 min he plays, dropping him down to cm would be a huge waste imo.

17.) 08 Oct 2016 01:38:37
Stoupid - i do agree with you there mate.

18.) 08 Oct 2016 16:15:36
I will buy Tuchel and stick him in as Liverpool reserve coach.

19.) 08 Oct 2016 19:40:39
Sweet, clearly you've never seen Kondogbia play because if you did, you would know that Kondogbia is NOT a DM. Even at Inter, he's never played there as Medel and Felipe Melo play in defensive midfield. Besides, we don't need him nor Pelusic.

20.) 09 Oct 2016 02:42:00
true Hamilton Red.

21.) 10 Oct 2016 02:36:53
We're not deep enough in the true wing position. Believe Ojo should be given a chance, but would love to see Pulisic brought in. If we qualify for Europe next year, between, Europe, domestic cups, and the EPL, there will be plenty of chances for minutes.

Liverpool has just confirmed fabinho to liverpool!

1.) 28 May 2018 21:10:40
Way to lift the spirits! Well done all at the club, Michael Edwards has played a blinder.

04 Dec 2017 15:14:23
if im not wrong, our current dealt with new balance ends in the summer? does anybody know if liverpool are working on a new deal with new balance or if they are in talks to strike a deal with someone else?
sorry if im wrong.

{Ed002's Note - it runs for longer.}

1.) 04 Dec 2017 15:42:54
Okei thanks for reply ED002.

2.) 04 Dec 2017 16:02:12
Runs till the end of the 2018/ 19 season I think.
I believe we have missed out with this deal. Although it was big from a monetary point of view at the time, itโ€™s been shadowed by the deals being handed out since (Utd, Chelsea etc. ) plus a deal with Nike or Adidas would give us much more exposure.

3.) 04 Dec 2017 17:05:48
I like being with new balance. They're a company rapidly growing and can't complain about any kits made :)

4.) 04 Dec 2017 19:12:59
New deals always overshadow previous deals cobra. Iโ€™m sure when we signed with standard charter the 1st time it was the biggest or second biggest shirt deal. That was bigger than the deals the others had signed and then when they were up for renewal they got more than us. Seems like a constant cycle.

5.) 04 Dec 2017 19:20:41
I like NB too.

6.) 04 Dec 2017 23:19:34
I thought new balance were a company formed in the early 90s, I remember when I was at school they were the trainers everyone wanted and then they disappeared. anyway I had to look to see if I was correct and it turns out they have actually been around for 111 years.

14 Jun 2017 09:40:22
Are we playing 21 premier league games before january?
Or are the fixture list wrong?

1.) 14 Jun 2017 10:30:27
I was also wondering why we play Arsenal twice before we play Swansea.

2.) 14 Jun 2017 14:21:03
It's designed to help Man Utd.

3.) 14 Jun 2017 14:30:40
But just remember. we'll have VVD, Salah, Mendy, Keita and Werner in place by then.

Oh well. we live in hope! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ.

4.) 14 Jun 2017 16:13:14
That's it, I draw the line. FSG out. IfnTom Werner thinks he can pick himself then that's just taking the absolute mick.

5.) 14 Jun 2017 14:34:28
I don't know if its a conspiracy to help utd, but I know for sure ed025 is loving the blue nose fixtures!

{Ed025's Note - really hard start for us waqas, but with us being in the europa we should be fitter than most at the start..well hopefully mate.. :)

6.) 15 Jun 2017 00:26:21
United at home on opening day again. If they are not top by end of September then they will be under pressure.
ARe the fixtures actually done by computer?

{Ed002's Note - One person is responsible for doing them.}

7.) 15 Jun 2017 10:42:03
Due to World Cup being in Russia next year, the prem needs to finish early (May 13th) so more games packed into December.

08 Mar 2017 20:31:35
hi Ed's. do you know if we are getting anywhere regarding the sponsorship deal for the new main stand that the club was looking for?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anything changing at this time.}

03 Jun 2016 12:51:04
Any chance of an update on the list of players we are interested in?

You guys are doing a great job on this site i must say! Much appreciated!

{Ed002's Note - Not right now Liss.}

Quite the nerve he hit there! .
Why do you get so upset about what a liverpool supporter says about you're coach anyway? You don't go to a liverpool forum and expect them to talk about how fantastic mourinho is do you?
And people have different opinions.
