Mk I question his desire because he spends half the game flailing his hands in the air like a child. So yes I think his desire is lacking I don't care what stats you throw at me the amount of times I see him make a mistake and just flail his arms about is what I find laughable. I still think jota a great player for the record, I just think it's unfair for OP to say jota does the same but gets results when minamino has also got results with his limited time whilst also always working hard to rectify mistakes he made.

He played 176 minutes in the league and scored 3 goals, so he didn't get that many chances and for the time he did get hedid well, and I'd say he got about the pitch and showed a lot more desire than jota, not saying he should have stayed or anything I think the move is best for everyone but to say he got plenty of chances in the league and barely did anything is extremely unfair to the lad.

Couldn't agree more ed666, but tbh the thing that annoys me most about jota isn't just his poor link up play it's the constant flailing of of his arms every 2 seconds when something doesn't go his way, you could mistake him for an injured bird struggling to fly the amount he flaps his arms about! If you compare that to mane for example if something doesn't go his way he sprints straight back to the ball to try and get it back and try again. It's just a difference in attitude, misplaced passes - whilst annoying - are understandable but a rubbishty work ethic is not.

{Ed0666's Note - this flailing of the arms is exactly the point I made on the editors widget on Sunday. It’s just an attempt to con the coaches, his teammates and fans into thinking he’s been fouled. It’s just utter bollox! Whereas when Diaz or Salah get dispossessed what do they do? Diaz especially will run for his life and try and retrieve the ball. Like you say it’s a difference in attitude and its negatively affecting the team. I don’t care how many goals he scores he’s not playing well and is a liability. we have no easy games now until the end of the season they are ALL vital and personally I wouldn’t start him in any game unless he improves.

MK you're right none of that is fair but that doesn't mean it's any fairer that people over here are needlessly losing their jobs. Like I'm sorry but I just think that's a bad mindset, what's happening in Ukraine is beyond awful but that doesn't mean others can't feel aggrieved if they are having a hard time. No matter what someone is going through you can always find someone who has it worse. It's like walking upto a stab victim and telling him to stop moaning because there's there's child in Africa starving to death.

Agreed ed025 you need players that will fight for the badge and put a proper shift in, players like minamino or Bobby firmino. oh wait ;)
