Come on Ed’s any news on a replacement keeper as back up now Simon has left? A lot of talk of Adrian on a free which would be a great bit of business. Or are we going to go with one of younger keepers like Kheller?

LFC 80

{Ed001's Note - that is the replacement. I thought he was coming as our 3rd choice but it seems he is just a replacement for Migs. Seems a good option. Good with his feet, good shot stopper and usually plays well in short bursts.}

1.) 05 Aug 2019 11:47:53
Good business, selling one of the weaker keepers in the Prem then signing one of the strongest No. 2s on a free. Best wishes to both.

2.) 05 Aug 2019 12:02:25

==============================
I did read somewhere about a contact between us and Adrian a couple of weeks ago, I dismissed it thinking its rubbish . But probably you are right, possibly the initial approach was to be a third choice then the offer for Simon, they probably thought better to sell Migs and getting Adrian as second choice . which explains how quickly things developed.

3.) 05 Aug 2019 12:11:31
Has cornet ever played in goal? 😉.

4.) 05 Aug 2019 12:24:41
Agree Ed, also seems a good character, great for the dressing room.

{Ed001's Note - he was certainly well liked at the Hammers and Betis.}

Hi eds and reds just read somewhere city could b ready to make a massive bid 4 suarez in the summer if they lose aguero to Madrid just wondering if anyone else had heard anything? Thanks in advance

LFC 80

{Ed002's Note - They don't want to sell Aguero. Suarez's representatives have been looking elsewhere. If MC were to lose Aguero to Real Madrid }

Hi Ed’s and reds. seen a few articles linking us with a forward from the French league plays for Boudreaux I think? Kamano I think his name is if my memory serves me well? I’ve tried the searching but not found anything. Any info on the lad anyone?

LFC 80

{Ed002's Note - I have explained what I know already.}

1.) 31 Jul 2019 20:42:46
No worries cheers Ed.

2.) 31 Jul 2019 21:39:49
We've been watching another player for Bordeaux (who, I don't know) but while watching that player, Kamano has apparently caught the scout's eye more.

{Ed002's Note - Even though it is close season?}

3.) 31 Jul 2019 22:34:50
Obviously before the season ended Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - Gosh.}

29 Jul 2019 12:39:35
Is lazar Markovich still a Liverpool player? Or did we offload him last season. I honestly can’t think.

LFC 80

1.) 29 Jul 2019 12:50:37
Left on a free to join Fulham I think.

2.) 29 Jul 2019 12:52:43
He is currently without a club since 1st of July.

3.) 29 Jul 2019 12:53:33
He saw his contract out and walked didn't he?

4.) 29 Jul 2019 13:08:17
Think he got his contract terminated by Fulham.

5.) 29 Jul 2019 17:32:53
He went to Fulham on a free transfer before it ended with us, we just let him go. But at the end of the season Fulham also released him.

What a waste of such potential.

6.) 29 Jul 2019 19:09:41
We should never have signed him and should have let him go at least 3 years before now instead of pricing him out of a move at every term.

15 Jul 2019 12:24:03
All this talk of needing new signings and not standing still is very true but IMO we should actively start promoting youth and give them a real chance at making at Liverpool. We could have the next Fowler, Owen or Gerrard in our own youth system. We should only be looking at a Major big money signing if one of the big players likes Salah or Mané leave and let the kids we have fill the gaps on the bench that people are desperate to throw millions at. Just my opinion and I’m sure a lot will disagree.

LFC 80

1.) 15 Jul 2019 12:53:40
Am just worried about the team strength and not bothered about how much these players cost. It could be 1 mill or 100mill makes no difference to me!

2.) 15 Jul 2019 13:11:39
I mostly agree the trouble with it is that it's very difficult to do whilst sustaining a title campaign or a champions league run. I'm surprised more young players haven't done what jaydon sancho has and moved away from the top clubs in search of regular playing time at the highest level, you rarely become a superstar when your sustained run in a team comes at 23 you need to be getting that at 18/ 19/ 20 and I think youngsters are starting to realise that.

3.) 15 Jul 2019 14:14:08
Totally agree Den. If you look at the likes of Fowler, Owen and Gerrard the we’re in the team very young and given the chance to prove they had what it took at the highest level. And I’m sure you will see a lot more young talent doing what Sancho had the balls to do. It would be a real shame if we let a diamond in the rough slip through our net.

4.) 15 Jul 2019 14:20:45
Personally feel we should get lovren and lallana off our books. Their replacements and a back up left back are all we need. Lovren is dodgy and lallana too injury prone.

5.) 15 Jul 2019 16:12:16
A fit lovren is ahead of Matip for me. Worth seeing how Lallana does this season now he’s fully recovered from his injury woes. As a fan it’s tempting not to care about fee’s with some saying “hey it’s not my money”, but it wasn’t long ago this club almost went into administration. The club have done a great job recently of buying big without going crazy, And I’d rather that continue. Wait for the Alisson’s and Van Dijks not the bentekes and carrol’s.

Youth stepping up always helps ala Trent. I can’t be the only one who has high hopes for Brewster this season.

6.) 15 Jul 2019 16:24:53
I have high hopes for Brewster also Eamon. My worry is if he isn’t given the chances the season and we buy another forward that would be ahead of the lad in the pecking order then he will do exactly what Sancho did and go elsewhere in search of first team minutes. As a youngster trying to make it in the game seeing this happen all the time must be very frustrating and a knock to the confidence.

7.) 15 Jul 2019 16:34:01
I agree LFC 80, but I’ve heard nothing reliable about us seeking out another striking option. I think he’s very much in Klopp’s plans this season. Sancho’s success is likely to have knock on effects and I suspect other members of the youth team will grow frustrated as they’re not offered the chances Brewster will be afforded.

8.) 15 Jul 2019 18:02:35
I wouldn't put too much pressure on Brewster tbh, but I agree he is a real talent with natural finishing ability. Needs to work on his link up play in general but that will come provided he is given chances to play like trent. Definitely don't think we need another striker with him and divock as backup.

9.) 15 Jul 2019 19:32:34
People had better calm down and take it easy with Brewster cos regardless of how talented he may be, he is still a rookie and a kid at this level and as someone who has played the CF position, it is a very difficult position to play esp. as a teenager. The few players I have seen tear it up consistently as a teenager Shevtchenko, Fowler, Owen and of course, O Phenomeno Ronaldo and Brewster is no where near the solar system of these guys and IMO, the best CF to ever play the game, neck and neck with the Dutch Maestro Marco Van Basten.

We need to be patient with Brewster (esp. coming of a dreadful injury) and let him learn and grow cos I am weary of him suffering the same fate as my LFC Legend Divvy Origi, who got so much pressure put on him as a youngster and nearly got run outta town cos he was not being Harry Kane or Ronaldo (O Phenomeno) fast enuff for them i. e being impatient with him. Patience (lots of it) will be needed if Brewster is to become the player we all want him to be.

10.) 15 Jul 2019 19:50:13
No one has put any pressure on Brewster Redwolf I simply said I hope he gets a chance this season and we don’t buy another striker for our bench and he gets some minutes. I have high hopes for him yes but I also know he is only young and still learning but he can learn from the best being in and around the first team each week.

11.) 15 Jul 2019 20:07:13
No prob, LFC 80. I was not referring to you, specifically. I was making a general point, referring to many on here and on other fan sites, gassing up Brewster as the next big thing while forgetting he is just a kid, is yet to play an official senior game, is recovering from a dreadful injury etc. I am all for him getting a chance cos clearly, Klopp believes in this kid BUT the fans are who I am weary of with their penchant for overnight success. We can't discount that, my friend.

12.) 15 Jul 2019 20:43:56
He strikes me as the type of player who would thrive on pressure (brewster) and i think in shaq, origi, brewster and lallana we have enough cover for the front 3.

I would like to see more youngsters making the step up into the first team. But not as much as i want to see us win the league again. If they're good enpugh i think klopp and co will know aboit it. If not then its sad but edwards is a master at getting good money for our (not quite good enough) youngsters.

And as much as i loved gerrard fowler and even owen, none of them won the league for us.

13.) 16 Jul 2019 06:20:09
Just to add. I really think brewster looks great. Knows where to be, knows where the goal is. If not for his injuries he couldve been the next owen, we don't know. He is scoring now though. Only against weak opposition but you can only beat what's in front of you (even if that's a 18inch wide keeper in front of a 10 inch goal! )
Cant wait to see him against some tougher opposition.

Evening ED’s and reds. just wondering regarding Sturridge. would playing in the MLS be a viable option for him? We know he likes going to LA a lot on holiday. I just think he would do very well over there, just his wages may be a bit of a problem?

LFC 80

1.) 23 May 2019 20:03:30
LFC80, I lived in the States for 14 years and trust me when I tell you that the MLS is a VERY physical league where there are more top class athletes than there are actual footballers.

Studge is already physically fragile and add at his age, that league will destroy him. Even Gerrard said he was stunned during his days at LA Galaxy, as to how physical the MLS is. IMO, I don't think he should go there.

{Ed025's Note - he would get injured playing chess redwolf..

2.) 23 May 2019 20:57:18
Love it 25.

3.) 23 May 2019 20:57:55
He'd get injured watching Basic Instinct Ed.

{Ed025's Note - that would make 2 gratuitous pussies mark.. :)

4.) 23 May 2019 22:44:58
That’s the funniest thing I’ve read on this site and for a very long time😂😂😂.

5.) 23 May 2019 22:51:41
😱Ed025.

6.) 23 May 2019 23:27:32
He should go to italian or french team slow pace and less physical.

7.) 24 May 2019 01:11:46
I can't remember where I read it, but I've read that he's considering Australia.

8.) 24 May 2019 01:39:20
The Chinese league may suit him and a lot of older pros are going there these days.

9.) 24 May 2019 07:06:20
Ed25 👏😂.

10.) 24 May 2019 08:16:33
He might go join fowler in the Aussie league.

11.) 25 May 2019 12:41:31
