We expecting Lucas to stay or not?

Jurgen

1.) 30 Jun 2016 12:26:13
Impossible to say to be honest, i think we should do everything we can to keep him but we cannot stand in his way if he wants to leave.

2.) 30 Jun 2016 14:10:48
If he wants to leave? If he leaves, he was moved.

3.) 30 Jun 2016 14:25:44
This decision should be left solely to the player. He has been a very good servant to the club, never kicked up any fuss over money or a transfer and has helped Couts and Firmino settle in. If he wants to stay, then i'm sure Klopp will find a role for him in the team for next season.
I would be disgusted if the club tried to force him out at any point.

Tonight I have seen a lot of reports about Mane joining us. let's not go on about figures but number 1 he's not worth anywhere near what is been said.

number 2 can someone please point out to me why we should sign him? please because i must be missing something, this kid shouldn't ever have a Liverpool shirt on, never was worthy never will be. it's not about his football (lets be honest he's not exactly world class is he) its him as a person, we don;t need people like that in our squad. i'd rather have gotze and that's saying something, i don't even want him.

The more i hear about it the more I believe it's going to happen and I don't like the idea one bit. but there you go, what can we do.

Jurgen

1.) 22 Jun 2016 04:04:53
Speed and great 1v1 ability. Which will give significant space to studge, couts, etc. think of how origis pace this year just opened up games. He also clearly has goals in him. 40mil is way too expensive, but if Klopp thinks he can adjust his attitude and we can get a fair price, I wouldn't be upset. I'd rather him than another CAM/ CM which we are flooded with.

2.) 22 Jun 2016 05:02:34
Oh please NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Let Us learn from past mistakes not repeat them. I wouldn't have Sadio Mane around anfield for 10Mill. HE PLAYED WELL FOR THREE GAMES IN THE SEASON, TWO OF THEM WERE AGAINST US (arguably the most vulnerable defence in EPL) .

3.) 22 Jun 2016 05:13:00
Has bags of talent wich is obviously there for everyone to see but the prices being thrown around are way over the top. if we get him for 15/ 20m I think it could be a good bit of business. He's young and does stupid things but klopp hopefully can turn him into a top top player. Klopp must see something really good in him if he spends big so I'll trust his gudgment he's proven in the past he bows what he's looking for. ynwa.

4.) 22 Jun 2016 06:28:39
Ojo is better.

5.) 22 Jun 2016 08:44:05
Let's not be silly Ron.

6.) 22 Jun 2016 09:13:01
Mane got goals in him and his pace will help a lot . We lack pace this year and I like lallana but he's not going to score 10+ goals like mane.

7.) 22 Jun 2016 09:26:22
Ojo is certainly not worse. But has potential to be better. a lot better, give the lad a chance and he'll shine.

8.) 22 Jun 2016 11:30:37
Why don't we try this approach. Look at the player that we want for Southampton, declare our interwdr and then wait for them to go after his replacement and get him instead because they always seem to do better than there predecessor. Lallana/ mane, lovren/ alderwierld/, lambert/ pelle, shaw/ betrand.

Surely there is a fast winger our there that wr can get without spending 30/ 40 million. Much rather wait for markovic to return and see how he fairs for us, ot give ibe another season. Is mane that much better that what we have. The answers now nd unless that player becomes avaliabkw then wr should steer clear.

9.) 22 Jun 2016 04:55:47
He is not even worth £20 mill let alone. Southampton will laugh at us if we offer that kind of sum. They ll easily replace him just like they replaced their other players.

21 Jun 2016 08:44:32
Can't believe I'm about to say it after all the times I'm expressed my bad opinions on Hendo but yesterday has changed my mind. He was excellent, fair play to the lad, shut up doubters (me) . Hope he can continue with such performances.

Jurgen

1.) 21 Jun 2016 18:34:52
Is this the first time you've actually watched Henderson? He's been brilliant in most games for us.

2.) 21 Jun 2016 18:46:39
Good to see! People still seem to think he was poor yesterday for some reason. Everything good about England's play went through him. He created the best chances, found Clyne in good places time after time, and marked Hamsik out of the game. Just because he misplaced a few crosses his whole performance is criticized. At least he's actually getting into areas to create chances. If Rooney had played that pass to Vardy it would be talked about for weeks.

3.) 21 Jun 2016 20:15:28
Agreed you.

So true it's a different story should it of been Rooney making a decent pass, who quite frankly is terrible. Your right, Hendo really made the difference and totally changed my opinion.

hsf no mate it's not the first time I have watched him, watched him every single time he played since he joined and had few good games, didn't rate him at all until now. he's surprised me and I'm glad about that, always hoped he would do better and he is proving he can do better. with him in midfield next season is going to be definitely interesting, seeing what he can add is exciting to say the least.

I'm happy to be proven wrong.

I must say, love the new away shirt, one of the best for me, going to get it tomorrow. what's all of yours favourite shirt through the years?

One of my favourites was the one (cant remember the year) torres was here and it was black and yellow!

Jurgen

1.) 19 Jun 2016 20:35:49
I like the look of the new away shirt too. One thing I've been told about it though, is that the badge is stuck on the shirt, rather than being stitched into the material like most of the other big clubs shirts.
Probability of the badge coming off after a few washes.
Don't know whether it's true. but check it out.

2.) 19 Jun 2016 21:17:36
Has to be the 2008/ 09 home kit for me, such a simple kit but I absolutely loved it, always loved the Adidas styled kits.

3.) 19 Jun 2016 21:28:09
Loved the grey one from 08/ 09 season. Had Carragher on the back.

4.) 19 Jun 2016 22:38:47
Ahhh interesting, don't like that side of it if that's true. I just can't help myself I have to own it lol.

5.) 19 Jun 2016 22:42:38
My favourite shirt was my mid nineties non-tucked Ben Sherman.

Oh, the low neck xs lime green one tied centrally under the breast bone in a cute little bow looked amazing when wide eyed on the City Centre podium scene.

6.) 19 Jun 2016 22:53:58
It's embroidered.

7.) 19 Jun 2016 23:11:58
LOL!

8.) 19 Jun 2016 23:59:32
I still have my 1982 yellow with red pinstripe Crown Paints shirt. It's in my will to go to my son when I've gone.
Regarding badges being stuck rather than stitched on, this has been the way for a few years now in other sports, so shouldn't be an issue. I've found playing in shirts with stitched badges to be a bit itchy and irritating.

9.) 20 Jun 2016 00:07:32
Yellow and red away kit 1986. Loved it.

10.) 20 Jun 2016 00:11:36
Crown Paints in 1982? 🤔.

11.) 20 Jun 2016 00:36:49
I too like the away kit for the new season . for me the best kit was the crown paint home kit and the gray crown paint away kit i have in a frame signed.

12.) 20 Jun 2016 00:54:50
Yeah Ron, 82 I'm pretty sure, saved up the pocket money myself. Could have been 83, but no later.

{Ed007's Note - I hate to admit it but the green and white quartered top Liverpool had when Ruddock and Fowler played was an absolute beezer of a top.}

13.) 20 Jun 2016 01:26:23
79-82 = Hitachi
82-88 = Crown Paints
88-92 = Candy
92-10 = Carslberg (longest running in the top flight)
10- = Standard Chartered.

14.) 20 Jun 2016 01:48:11
Yeah wasn't sure but a quick check shows we did indeed change to Crown Paints in 82/ 3. Sorry, thought it was later.

15.) 20 Jun 2016 07:48:34
No worries Ron, if that's your actual pic then you look a few years younger than me and can be forgiven. I have appreciated your comments and input over the last few years.

16.) 20 Jun 2016 09:27:02
Got up bright and early got to shop for 9am to find its not in stock in my size. Gutted!

He'll be worth double it not more should we keep him. their offer is tempting but I think it's too early to cash in on him.

Nah I tell you what Kman92 is right. we just did it. we overpaid for a fool of a player. or should I say, we almost have done. it's stupid, not bothered about hector. but kman is right. we overspend on daft players yet won't on decent ones. where is the logic. nevermind daft replies, explain it? it's stupid, and getting beyond a joke. about time we learnt our lessons and stopped this. 34 million on mane? its unreal. he WILL be a failure. I love Klopp but this is a mistake of his. We shouldn't have to spend that much money on such a player. such a waste.

not read all the comments but to the one who said 'does cost always matter' of course it does. are you off your head mate? jesus we go and pay this for such a player its horrendous. we don't need him, and time will show it was a mistake. very simlar to a balotelli, benteke, carroll deal. stupidity, they see us coming, rediculous!

Personally I can't see Benteke moving anywhere. I wish he was, but i'm doubting it.

I agree, Ojo is one for the future. just needs to be given more of a chance, which I believe he'll get.
