Just passing on info from last week. I took a Liverpool legend to Anfield last week for the pink concert. He said it was more just to meet the new chief exec. I pushed on transfers and he said Liverpool are in talks with Bournemouth over Callum Wilson with clyne being sent the other way. Ironically, I had to take clyne to lime st the following day and asked him and he said he hadn't heard anything but he was getting a train down south with his friend. Have you heard anything eds?

Joshlfc123

1.) 09 Jul 2019 13:43:13
Didn’t they value Wilson at over 50 million for chelsea? Seems mad money for his age and quality.

2.) 09 Jul 2019 14:19:37
Weren’t they looking for something like £50m+? I’d walk away at a quarter of that. Plus I reckon Ryan Fraser is a far better bet and would cost less given that he’s in the last year of his contract.

3.) 09 Jul 2019 15:31:03
Living in Bournemouth and having seen both play I would plump for Fraser, he has incredible speed which upsets defences. David Brookes would be another one to look at from the Cherries. Wilson is a good player but not at the price being quoted.

4.) 10 Jul 2019 09:47:47
Why the heck would we sign Wilson or any striker? We have three plus wide-forwards who can play there. Absolutely no need for Wilson nor is he good enough.

Fraser and Brooks are decent players but not at the required standard for Liverpool.

5.) 10 Jul 2019 10:53:12
Signing a new deal at Bournemouth, put that 1 too bed .

6.) 10 Jul 2019 18:52:51
"Fraser and Brooks are decent players but not the standard required at Liverpool". The arrogance is astounding I'll bet you said the same about that left back signed from Hull 2 years back.

Edds,
With Draxler becoming available, do you think Liverpool would make an offer? I'd be happy with couts going and him coming in.

Joshlfc123

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Draxler being available at this time - he is not one of the players that PSG are looking to move on and right now all I am aware of is his agent offering him to a couple of sides without the permission of PSG who don't want to sell. However, if he were to become available he would have to be a consideration as a replacement for Coutinho, although Liverpool has already enquired after another as you know. Arsenal were put off by his cost in January but given their position with Sanchez may look again if PSG make him available.}

1.) 20 Aug 2017 16:02:25
Sorry missed something, who have we enquired about that we know of as a Phil replacement?

{Ed002's Note - Jean-Michael Seri.}

2.) 20 Aug 2017 16:05:28
Sorry ed who is the other you are referring to? Apologies if I'm being forgetful!

{Ed002's Note - Jean-Michael Seri.}

3.) 20 Aug 2017 16:38:50
Sorry eds who is the other we have enquired about.

{Ed002's Note - Jean-Michael Seri.}

4.) 20 Aug 2017 16:47:02
ED002, who have LFC enquired about as a potential Coutinho replacement? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - It is like goldfish.}

5.) 20 Aug 2017 16:59:10
So you're saying Seri was lined up as the replacement. 😂.

6.) 20 Aug 2017 17:01:29
I seriously thought their was a glitch then, then noticed 3/ 4 npdifferent names. 😂
A long two weeks.

7.) 20 Aug 2017 17:04:46
Seri and keita if coutinho left and both wher2 available or just one?

8.) 20 Aug 2017 17:05:37
😆😆😆. I think it could be Seri. But not sure, from Ed002's replies.

9.) 20 Aug 2017 17:07:13
Haha thanx he going too Barcelona though, eds do u think keita might b doing a coutinho an vvd refusing to play hopefully put a request in sheer wishful thinkin on my behalf.

10.) 20 Aug 2017 17:35:49
You'd think we'd have done our homework on Seri as he says himself he struggles to train or play in cold weather because of the pain he suffers. Can't imagine him enjoying Burnley or Stoke on a cold November evening.

11.) 20 Aug 2017 17:37:54
Ed002 I've just been to the builders merchant, their asking if you would like red brick or sandstone for the special wall in your garden? They seemed to think sandstone would be softer on your head, but I'm sure you don't want to remember anything about this transfer window.

12.) 20 Aug 2017 17:53:52
He signin for Barcelona apparently tomorrow.

13.) 20 Aug 2017 18:12:47
It's like a glitch in the matrix Ed02. I worry for your sanity when ever a window arrives.

14.) 20 Aug 2017 18:21:28
Yes but have Liverpool shown any interest in Jean-Michael Seri?

15.) 20 Aug 2017 18:45:51
Omg its like groundhog day. jeez alu.

16.) 20 Aug 2017 19:22:20
I just asked siri if shes signing for liverpool and like a true journo she just dogded the question.

17.) 20 Aug 2017 19:18:13
Ed002 was it not said before that seri was a replacement for emre? . not couts.

{Ed002's Note - Certainly not be me.}

18.) 20 Aug 2017 19:31:59
Juat spat my drink out at the local spoons. ha ha cheers edd002. byw not a larger knuckle draggin tattoo. oh wait.

19.) 20 Aug 2017 21:12:29
Serie A or Serie B?

20.) 20 Aug 2017 22:24:22
Are all these people seri-ous?! 😂.

21.) 20 Aug 2017 22:48:16
Haha what a ludicrous suggestion lfc recruitment dept do their homework.

22.) 20 Aug 2017 23:43:50
Sorry Eds who is the other we have about 😂.

23.) 21 Aug 2017 00:26:06
Have we got one?

If we have it must still use Morse code to communicate potential signings.

Tap Tap Tap.

Or is it an enigma?

24.) 21 Aug 2017 10:18:08
Would people be happy if coutinho was sold and draxler vvd keita and ox was brought in.

19 Jun 2016 05:46:59
Just want to pass on something I've heard from jurgens mouth. I was in a local pub a couple of months ago and Jurgen sat down with me and a couple of the old fellas and had a pint with us! I will post a pic up of us if people don't believe me. He is a great guy who isn't as animated as on the pitch as he is in real life but he does have that likeable personality. He said macro rues will definitely not be joining us. He actually asked me if I was in his position who would I get. I said Julian brant as we are lacking the width his reply was you never know. just passing info on from the man himself.
Cheers
Joshlfc123.

Joshlfc123

1.) 19 Jun 2016 10:26:13
Did he talk about anything else or just asked about transfer suggestions?

2.) 19 Jun 2016 10:28:59
Briliant.

3.) 19 Jun 2016 10:38:53
Knowing Klopp, this one actually has a degree of plausibility!

Still, I don't think Klopp would sign a player based on something a fan said to him after a few bevvies ;) he was probably just entertaining your thoughts. Such is the nature of the man.

4.) 19 Jun 2016 10:40:31
Suppose asking some random man in a pub is better than asking our transfer commitee who we should go for.

5.) 19 Jun 2016 11:37:28
He has been known to visit pubs in freshfield and do quiz night there. So there could be a possibility to it.

6.) 19 Jun 2016 17:14:55
Oh I didn't know you know klopp mk scouser.

7.) 19 Jun 2016 17:36:27
See him around Formby a lot. He rents Gerrards old house. He's normally out walking his dogs and is very approachable. Loves a beer in the local too so this guys speaks the truth. Not sure how open he'd be about transfers. Lives opposite Lallana. Right little gang. Also Lallana and Hendo drive round in an old Fiesta and go the sun beds together. (Honestly I've seen this) . Probably gets loads of disagrees but it's true. Believe me or not. It's well funny. Has to be seen to be believed. If I see it again I will get a photo and send it in. Promise.

8.) 19 Jun 2016 17:48:07
Does he prefer crisps or pork scratchings?

9.) 20 Jun 2016 01:29:33
Did Jurgen's mouth also give the winning numbers for the lottery?

10.) 20 Jun 2016 07:39:17
Formby thought he lived in the posh flats near Aigburth vale same 1 GH and BR had.

11.) 20 Jun 2016 13:23:41
Yes he did actually his words were let's hope Shrewsbury can do us a favour! As they were playing the Mancs. It's true like don't care what people think because I had a pint with the man and it was a surreal experience someone has mentioned the pub it was in the comments. Only thing was I got there before him and he got his food before us. FAVOURITISM!

Hi Eds,

Like the new website design feels less like forum more like a site.

I asked a while ago about sami Khedira and you said Liverpool hadn't shown interest. Has this changed? I believe he will be an amazing buy. I think he can turn can into a world class player in that position as both are similar players, same background except Khedira has a world cup, champions league and LA LIGA medal in his locker.

What are your thoughts on the likelihood of him coming to us and on him playing in the prem should he remain injury free?

All thoughts would be much appreciated.

Joshlfc123

{Ed001's Note - yes, he has been offered to us and we want him to prove his fitness as we are interested. Not sure he will ever be injury free personally, which is a shame, because in those rare periods of fitness he is an excellent player. Not worth the risk imo though.}

1.) 26 Feb 2015 14:53:27
He has been offered to a few though Eds ain't he like you stated yesterday? Or is ut just us and Shalke? You think its likely or not mate?

{Ed001's Note - he has been offered to a few, though it was Ed002 not me who said it. Personally I don't see him proving his fitness.}

26 Jan 2015 11:17:37
Heard that John Flanagan will not be offered a new contract and will leave at the end of the season. As much as I would like the scouse influence in the dressing room. Don't think he's good enough for the prem. Good luck to him though.

Joshlfc123

1.) 26 Jan 2015 13:19:24
What nonsense is this?

2.) Don't know where to begin really. Perhaps with the simple fact he was plenty good enough for the BPL when he made 23 appearances and we almost won it? Dude had a build up of fluid on his knee and had arthoscopic surgery; other than that, he's been a class professional and, IMO, he's the missing piece to our defense.

3.) 26 Jan 2015 14:46:01
Totally agree Amerigo.
Joshlfc123 did you watch any liverpool games last season? He was outstanding and imo would walk into any premiership teams first 11. Even playing out of position he was great. Would be bending over backwards to get him to sign a new contract.

4.) 26 Jan 2015 14:51:30
Flanno is a good player with a great attitude and Lfc through and through or is it that you think Johnson is better

5.) Oh wow, this has to be a troll.

6.) 26 Jan 2015 15:39:09
Did he not sign a new contract in the summer or was it just chat about signing a new deal?

7.) 26 Jan 2015 15:53:16
Utter Nonsense.
The Lad has not played this season and he was a key figure to our defence last season. He will be a star of the future that's for sure.

8.) 26 Jan 2015 16:46:19
Hope this is wrong and if true it's not because GJ has been chosen ahead for new contract and RB slot?

9.) 26 Jan 2015 17:30:29
What a mad Statement!!

10.) 26 Jan 2015 19:58:23
I wish fellow fans would take off their blinkers with regards to JF.
He has no pace or technical ability and what annoys me he turns his back on anyone who goes to shoot -so much for his bravery.
Would he get into a top 4 team at the moment I doubt it . Although Roy did call him up- big deal look at other players called up hardly class acts.
We need to make room with youngsters showing potential and no not to throw them into the first team and hope for the best. Brendan has given more opportunities to young players than previous managers, just being in the first team squad and training with them is all education for them.

{Ed001's Note - he does have very good technical ability, it is pace, height and strength that he lacks.}

11.) 27 Jan 2015 06:26:30
It's also a myth that you have to be big to be strong, nope, look at Sterling. Pound for pound harder to push off the ball than anyone. Flanno's tackles have a lot of force in them. But yes he isn't huge huge, tall and very fast.

12.) 27 Jan 2015 08:00:41
The RB's in the league I'd start over Flanagan are: Ivanovic, Coleman, Zabaletta, possibly Clyne and if Sagna returns to his form of two years ago, maybe him. And he's the youngest in that list.

13.) 27 Jan 2015 12:19:31
I'm a fan, but in the present system of 3-4-2-1, where does he fit in, not sure he could do wing back, but would be fine in a flat back 4! End of the day, he needs a new contract, so if we do end up selling, we get 'something' for him!

14.) 27 Jan 2015 14:22:14
Im a season ticket holder from county road and went to about a dozen away games last season so to answer yes I watch the game. Speaking of last season how many goals did we concede? I know its not his fault but what does it say? our defence is not good enough. Check out the facts aswel, he was the most taken on player in the whole league last season. He is also blaming Liverpools physios for his knee. He was complaining about it last season and it was only when he went to Miami with England that the whole problem was recognised, he's actually hired his own specialist from London to look after him rather than Liverpool. All this aside, I would like to see him play before the end of the season and see how he gets on but it does look like he's not getting a new contract. Everyone complaining would have said the same about Kelly aswel last season and he's hardly set the world alight at palace.

15.) 28 Jan 2015 20:04:13
He's infinitely better than Johnson who has been offered a contract. Would be gutted to see the lad go, he's a good defender, a battler and would run through walls for the club. Honestly, if Johnson stays, Flanagan goes and Rodgers keeps his job I think i won't bother renewing my season ticket next year.

Stevie is onto a winner here,

Jurgan has stated that he would like to be here around 7 years like BD and FCM. That gives Stevie 4 years to work his way up the ranks up until assistant manager in JK's last year. Exactly like zidane at Madrid. He can also do punditry on the side but learn management from the bottom up. He could be the manager of MK Dons right now but has chosen to work with the academy. What does that say about his passion for the club. Having him around can only be a good thing and I also think if he implements his ideas within the youth set up of the club, we will have a great future manager of LFC with a lot of home grown talent in the squad.

Joshlfc123

{Ed007's Note - I've just been a wee bit sick in my mouth reading that. Have you ever considered a career writing soap opera storylines or chick flicks?}

1.) 24 Jan 2017 07:42:31
No thank you. Leave him in the academy to inspire the kids. He is too careless to be manager. He'd be done for tapping up on a monthly basis!

When Klopp steps down I really hope we use our head and not our heart by appointing Pepjin Linders as head coach/ manager.

2.) 24 Jan 2017 07:50:09
Josh shall we just wait and see if he turns out to be a decent coach first, let alone assistant manager. As Klopp said himself, whatever Gerrard does after football he's starting from zero. He's not coached or managed before and we've no idea how good (or bad) he'll be. Only time will tell!

3.) 24 Jan 2017 07:56:35
Klopp has his own assistants and he is not going to have the circus that comes with Gerrard anywhere near the first team.

4.) 24 Jan 2017 09:59:19
Saying he'll be bad is no better than saying he'll be good. let's just leave him be and wait and see how it turns out.

5.) 24 Jan 2017 10:10:07
what exactly did I just read, come on man you can't be serious? Besides the fact, Klopp hasn't been here long and your already talking about when he's off, wow.

6.) 24 Jan 2017 10:52:28
Why would Jurgen Klopp dump the excellent assistants that he's worked with and trusted for years, for Gerrard?
And God forbid, when Klopp does eventually move on. and I hope it won't be for many years yet, I hope Liverpool FC sets its sights much higher than Gerrard when looking to appoint a new manager!

7.) 24 Jan 2017 10:39:28
I'm fairly happy with the assistant manager we have now! And think we need a more experienced manager than a first timer when Klopp leaves, club legend means nothing as a manager

8.) 24 Jan 2017 10:50:01
Good point Danray. This romanticism and sentimentality must be done away with.
Gerrard may or may not make good coach. We don't know. Let's let him go prove himself and stop this fantasy.

We'll soon be sounding like Man U fans (Giggs) .
Good luck to Stevie and hopes he makes a decent career for himself, be it eventually at LFC or elsewhere.

For now, we have a manager in place, and a class one at that. Let's focus on that and supporting him and his technical team.

Hi eds,

What is the situation with axel witzel? Think he would make a great signing. We need a world class centre mid and I think he would slot in well with origi an benteke and would be great for this rotation system Klopp plays. Every player on that pitch looked tierd tonight.

Cheers

Josh.

Lads got the song for next season

(In the tune of iggy pops passenger)

He's the pass master
And he runs and he runs
Can use his left foot or his right
Through balls give your back four a fright

Singing lalalalalalana lalalalalalalana

Any thoughts?

Loyalty: because he left his wife who was with him when his playing career was over as soon as he got to the top.(and his teeth done!)

Integrity: sleeping with someone within the club

Actions speak louder than his rehearsed interviews

I have mentioned this in the past, no the likelyhood is he won't be offered a new contract, he will be given a chance to prove himself in the next couple of months before the decision is made, read my last comment to find out why. Also BR thinks wisdom is a better option as he can fit into the three at the back aswel as a full back
