If the club have any sense then tomorrow they contact Roma and pay the full asking price for salad, deflect some attention. They go to Monaco and pay the full asking price and wage of Mendy to get the guy that was first choice, show they can do a big deal properly and to get fans back on side. They then look to get Keita in and do it all above board and quickly, then they need to look at CB after this whole mess has calmed down.

100% agree.

Wishful thinking, as the club just can't seem to do business properly, there is always some type of problem regarding big players that ends up (9 time out of 10) us not signing the player. That being said I would definitely pay the full asking price for a salad.

Or perhaps wait until the transfer window opens?

I'm probably getting ahead of myself but this morning I found myself looking at the fixtures for the run in, we play city at the end of March and then in our final nine games don't have to play any direct rivals for the top four (well assuming it stays as is and there are no surprise teams making a run) . Ok one of them is Everton but that's at Anfield. I guess my point is that as long as we stay within touching distance of the top that run should help push us on. Here's to a huge 2017 for the reds!

One game at a time Jonno;)

2.) 01 Jan 2017 15:31:14
Who have we dropped points against in the first half of the season?

Burnley, Bournemouth, West Ham, Saints, Spuds and ManUtd.

3.) 01 Jan 2017 15:15:57
I worry about the teams not in contention for top 4 more than the ones who are, Klopp has a brilliant record against the top teams in this league, it's the teams we are expected to win against that cause us the most problems, look at who has beaten us this year.

Any and every game presents a chance to drop points. no disrespect bruv but I really fathom to understand how people still talk like this! One game at a time!

Hi All, I've been a long time reader of this site from the days of only a main rumours page but only posted a few times, I've got tickets for tomorrows game, first I've been to since Gerrards testimonial, I've looked on the website and there is nothing about parking anymore, its all park and ride now, can anybody suggest where is best, I normally park at St Domingo car park but like I say the website no longer shows this as on option?

cheers Jonno.

{Ed025's Note - you can park by the ground in utting avenue jonno i think it costs about a fiver but you have to get there early, im sure some of the other guys can give you other alternatives though...have a great time mate..

Last time I went I parked at Everton's ground car park. Well at least it's good for something! May have cost me a tenner though.

2.) 23 Sep 2016 13:37:19
Everton don't do it anymore this year, but round the corner you can park but there's not much space.

3.) 23 Sep 2016 15:56:02
I always park at lower breck road, near the cabbage. £5. Usually always a space, can be a pain to get out though, need patience lol.

4.) 23 Sep 2016 20:50:39
Shield road always plenty of parking 15 mins max to ground, just past the Belmont heading out quick pick my in the Belmont happy days.

5.) 24 Sep 2016 10:00:34
Cheers guys! Going to head to lower breck road and just see where I end up. Now just hoping for the right result!

That's because we don't approach the clubs ed2, it's all about getting the player on board and then we think 'oh yeah, better let there club know we just sent them all the training gear ready for them to do the Melwood lean pictures tomorrow'.

Could klopp be thinking of using Gomes at either full back position? I'm sure he played RB for one of the England squads? Scored a beauty from there as well I seem to remember.

MK the echo have an article profiling him on the website this morning, worth a read and is similar to what your thoughts are that he is more attacking.

To stop the above abuse 87red they could introduce a no subs in the last 10 rule, the Sunday league I play in has unlimited subs and players can come back on but we can't make subs in the last 10mins to stop exactly that sort of time wasting tactic. I don't think professional football should be unlimited subs but 5 seems a fair idea.
