It's brilliant how people can't read, and how Chinese whispers spread - nowhere in the club statement does it say he has been suspended by the club. The implications though, if found guilty by Eufa could, and I say could, be damaging to the rest of our season. Fingers crossed Klopp does not play Skrtel instead of Kolo, because that could also be very damaging to the rest of our season, he's a disaster waiting to happen.

Do they not test multiple samples? Is there not a way that it may be ok yet?

2.) 23 Apr 2016 14:23:08
Hem b Sakho can request a B sample test, and that may come up negative after which I believe charges will be dropped but let's be fair that's unlikely to happen.

3.) 23 Apr 2016 14:30:25
They will test a B sample. If that is positive he's in trouble. Been left out of the squad I would imagine to avoid any comeback on the team now he's known to have failed a test.

4.) 23 Apr 2016 23:41:39
If you fail, the odds on passing the reserve sample are minimal. The testing kit is extremely accurate and in more than 99 out of 100 the first test is accurate.

This is just for Ed 001, you say all our troubles are down to one man David Moores - in my humble opinion, and some inside knowledge from the late 90's our troubles got considerably worse when Rick Parry was appointed. The man was a total disaster for us, although as it was Moore's who appointed him, I suppose we can put almost total blame on him.
I admit Peter Robinson was an almost impossible act to follow. But for a supposed LFC fan, Parry was the best self publicist I have seen, and was only interested in what was in it for him, and I understand he was a major player in getting G & H to buy the club.

John B

{Ed001's Note - G&H weren't as bad as they appeared mate, they just ran out of money. As for Parry, he was a huge part of the problem, but partially because he was following orders, and partially because he is a buffoon. He now markets himself as some kind of footballing expert!}

1.) 05 Sep 2015 08:52:55
Buffoon - good description of the man, took us for a complete ride.

2.) 05 Sep 2015 12:05:11
Ed001, totally agree about Parry and in the past we have agreed about Moores failings (stadium development or lack of it) but I can't agree with you over H&G, you say they weren't as bad as they appeared just ran out of money but did they actually use any /much of there after all they had only one intention when buying the club with a leveraged buy out and that was to use other people's money and sell at a profit, I know all investors are all after the same end goal but these two where persons in my opinion as well as being an embarrassment, who can forget Hicks's interview with all the LFC souvenirs around him.

New season, new players, however same manager with same embarrassing quotes, don't get me wrong absolutely delighted with the 3 points, but to say we were " outstanding "in any respect yesterday is a complete embarrassment to himself.
But the worst thing he said, which proves he is naive and doesn't understand football fans at all - to say a 1-0 win at Stoke City has " put to bed " the 6-1 defeat is staggering. I still have nighmares when I think about our 5-1 defeat to Ajax in the " Fog " match in 1966.And I'm sure we all have other results that haunt is.
So wake up Mr Rodgers - you are manager of LFC, don't say things that embarrass yourself and our club.

John B

1.) 10 Aug 2015 16:02:48
I think the only thing embarrassing is you still having nightmares about a football match 48 years ago.

2.) 10 Aug 2015 16:04:46
Well stoke were without Shaquiri and Bojan. lols.

{Ed001's Note - and their captain and his usual central defensive partner Wilson.}

3.) 10 Aug 2015 16:12:16
Obviously the people who ticked disagree think we were "outstanding" yesterday, and because we won 1-0, the 6-1 defeat is now forgotten.
And please don't say that defeat is now history, all fans recall Istanbul, but that was history, and I also bring up our greatest ever game ( in my opinion of course ) the 3-1 win against Milan in 1965. And all LFC fans love telling people we have won Big Ears 5 times - HISTORY.

4.) 10 Aug 2015 16:38:51
No, the people who ticked disagree just think you're desperately trying to seek affirmation in your view that Rodgers is 'embarrassing' and are rejecting it.

We're over the 6-1 and want to look forward instead of wallowing in the petty finger pointing of last season.

5.) 10 Aug 2015 19:17:10
All I can say to Muscatred and Irish Rover - if you are over a 6-1 defeat to Stoke City - you seriously lack a passion for all things LFC.
You can bet your life it will live with the players for the rest of their careers and longer, footballers and fans remember the embarrassing days as much as the good ones.

And you don't think BR's comment that we were " outstanding "yesterday isn't delusional and embarrassing?

6.) 10 Aug 2015 20:18:17
Grow up John B, stop trying to be a martyr.

7.) 11 Aug 2015 00:31:08
You better get over the loss and quite frankly, yourself because that game is in the past and there's nothing anyone can do about it and your comment shows you have a very overinflated op of yourself.

Like everyone else on here, if the unconfirmed reports are true, then a feeling of abject disappointment will be rife.

For the first time in 54 years I will look forward to the new season with absolutely no expectations whatsoever.

No quality signings, but plenty of players with ' potential ', and then not given a chance.
No dreams of PL success, and not even expecting CL qualification.
Watching a team with no direction - and again probably not seeing the same side picked for 2 games in a row.
Players picked out of their natural positions, because they are obviously BR's favourites.

The one thing we will be guaranteed, we will all get embarrassed by the post match ( and pre match ) comments by the manager.

Again for the first time since I first stood in the Boys Pen at Anfield - I go into a season knowing what fans of mediocre clubs with no history must feel like.

I am genuinely worried about the direction FSG are taking this once great institution.

Well said John b

It's going to be a very long season

How on earth Rodgers has kept his job is beyond me, all that money spent and players bought yet majority are all played out of position.

The last 6 - 7 games last season where played with no desire or passion to win and we threw top 4 away. To me you could the players just didn't want to play for the manager leading upto what happened on the final day, which summed up our whole season.

I know its only paper talk but sterling to arsenal and we want another defender and a winger who for the last 2 seasons can't stay fit for more than 2 games.

My biggest fear with Rodgers staying is we are going to buy 4-5 square pegs to try and make them fit in round holes, then come Xmas FSG realise the mistake they made yet were already out of contention for top 4 again and a new manager is left with an even harder job.

2.) 03 Jun 2015 09:51:17
I think FSG neither supports nor oppose Rodgers.FSG are waiting for the likes of Klopp, Ancelotti who will come fresh from their sabbatical to replace Rodgers after he fails to achieve anything again this season.

3.) 03 Jun 2015 16:49:12
Could be, indian BUT why take such a decision that they know would infuriate the fans if they know they will sack him 6 months? Unai Emery is interviewing with West Ham. You trying to tell me the owners could reach out to him? Is Klopp or carlo the only ones who can manage us? I don`t believe that for a second. The owners bottled it and we the fans may have to suffer the consequences.

Unfortunately Brendan Rodgers and his backroom staff ( coaches and scouts ) are quite literally indefensible.
He ( and his staff ) identified and spent over £100 million on players including 3 of Southamptons better players last season.
After 11 games, even without Jay Rodriguez they are 11 points ahead of us after only 11 games.
We can have opinions of what has gone wrong, but the facts are indisputable - Rodgers has made a complete mess of the squad and tactics - I've been a Kopite since 1960 and I do not believe we have had such an inept backroom staff - and that includes the Souness managerial years.
I have never been one to call for a managers dismissal, but what Rodgers's stubbornness is doing to us is hurting.
The only 2 players not getting rotated is Mignolet and Balotelli, I can understand the Mignolet one, but would any club, in any league, at any standard give a striker so many games without scoring? I and I believe in some ways it's not just his fault - so Brendan please listen to fans, pundits and so called football experts - Mario Balotelli cannot play as a lone striker.

Wow, has it been in the press at all? always wondered why people put news like this on this site, it may come as a surprise to these people, that if you have access to this site then you can pretty much guarantee that they have checked pretty well all the football news sites as well, apart from the radio news, Sky news etc.

Wow - impressed Ed001, who can forget that dark night for a refereeing in May 1965. A week after my best ever Anfield European night on May 5th ( bunked off school in the afternoon to be there in plenty of time ) Reuben Bennett did an article in the papers some years later with alleged proof that the referee benefited financially for his performance in that game.

John B

{Ed001's Note - I wasn't born, it was just something I was told about by a few of the people involved in it. Shanks mentioned it a number of times, he used it to push on the players sometimes.}

Hope not - seen nothing in pre season or first three games that says he's not still our best centre back. Can't get my head round managers who can't manage a problem, if he's not wanted sell him, not loan him out, if he's a problem, then be a manager JK.

John B

{Ed001's Note - we can't get a buyer.}

OK KSS - in that particular position he's being bought for, who could we get that is a lot better than Mane, taking into account no CL, no Europe, and with proven PL ability and stats, ready to say we could do better - give us names.

You're surely not talking about Tony Barrett, he knows the same about LFC as any other journalist - he makes guesses and assumptions and hope they come true.

Sakho's mistake, made considerably worse by Klopp going public. Could cost the club a fortune, at least a seasons wages and considerably reduced sale price with just Klopp to blame.

Biggest question is will Klopp be able to manage our best CB, big test of his management capabilities, he's already made a massive mistake making everything public.

Wasn't a bad shout Fanobip, until you lost credibility thinking Joe Hart is any good, bang average like Mignolet.

We are miles away from the top four at the moment, we have a manager who sadly doesn't seem to know his first XI, and so far has carried on the Liverpool way of playing people out of their natural, and strongest positions. Klopp is an amazing personality, and did exceptionally well in mainly a 2 horse race in Germany, and yes he will obviously need time, and hopefully within the next 3 years he will be able to bring us a few trophies, I'd rather have silverware in the cabinet than a top 4 place.

If Tony Barrett says it will happen, then you can pretty well be certain it won't happen, never known a journalist get so much wrong.
