Morning all, Eds I've heard we are looking to inquire about salif sane of Hannover. Do you know if Liverpool have any interest in him?

Joes treble

{Ed002's Note - I would not think so Joe - I have no idea if the club has shown any interest.}

1.) 09 Jul 2017 02:57:05
Ok, thanks Ed much appreciated.

04 Jul 2017 23:12:50
I'm hearing as well Nathaniel Clyne is unsettled ( whatever that means ) and mammana could also be a option for RB if needed. Not facts just what I've been told.

Joes treble

1.) 04 Jul 2017 23:36:12
I've heard on these boards that Klopp and Clyne don't have the best relationship, and that Klopp doesn't rate Clyne that much.

I still maintain we will see Milner at RB come the start of the season, allowing time for TA-A to bed in properly over the course of the season.

2.) 04 Jul 2017 23:42:46
Zed, you could be right mate.

3.) 05 Jul 2017 06:54:48
I would not mind that at all, Zed as Milner will be able to contribute more at RB as he will be on his stronger and better right foot. Clyne needs to go as he was never good enough.

4.) 05 Jul 2017 19:12:05
Clyne would feel unsettled if he read this page. Gets nothing but knocked down with occasional "I guess he's quite solid" I really don't get why people are not keen on him. I think he is class. Only young, confident and quick enough to go past people. Only going to get better. Our defence needs someone to take charge. Milner tries but it's difficult on the wing.

That is the problem. Like klopp a lot. Best manager this club has had since rafa but I'm not keen on the zonal system. Lovren hasn't stood up to be counted and take the line by the scruff of the neck. Matip is new. Think klavan has something to give. Hansen was dodgy at first. And henchoz. Give em a second to settle. If Clyne could get that final ball right he would be one of best in league.

Hope he stays. Don't wanna rock the boat too much and change our team that was top of mini 7 team league. City chelsea arsenal. Done em all. Can't wait to see salah in action. Thank you Fenway group!

5.) 05 Jul 2017 19:18:34
Totally agree dude. Would be a fantastic wing back with 3 5 2 aswell but yeah good right back.

6.) 05 Jul 2017 19:45:12
Clyne would be unsettled if he read this page. He gets knocked down on here day after day. If he can sort out his final ball he would be brilliant. Fast, confident to go past his man. Safe when passing triangles on the wing. Safe in a way Hendo makes us feel safe. He has everything you want from a RB except the final ball. He'll get it. TAA will come through this yr and next anyway. He puts in the distance, runs his socks off for us. Let's give him a break, I think he will surprise us this year.

Good morning all, just been told to prepare for a long running saga in the transfer with navy kieta.

Joes treble

1.) 21 Jun 2017 06:13:58
Translation:
Naby Keita

Would love to have him at LFC but RBL seem like they'll be extremely difficult to deal with. Also, someone would have to leave for Keita to come in I think, especially if Coutinho drops to the midfield.

2.) 21 Jun 2017 07:13:52
oh and with them being allowed to play in the champions league, there's less reason for him to leave.

3.) 21 Jun 2017 07:58:59
Oh no, now I'm feeling blue 😉.

4.) 21 Jun 2017 09:19:27
I'd love to know how somebody knows that it's going to be a long transfer saga? What he/ she probably means is, get ready for continual questions and rumour about Naby Keita, with the eventual outcome being the player stays put and the realisation it was never on in the first place.

5.) 21 Jun 2017 09:27:51
Thats the worst way to feel. Akin ti HOPELESS.

6.) 21 Jun 2017 09:32:14
It was a long shot before RBL were given the champions league to think about, id say the "saga" is over already unfortunately.

7.) 21 Jun 2017 11:14:35
You never know. all this talk of Red Bull may make him want to Fly the nest 😉👍🏼.

8.) 21 Jun 2017 11:22:56
Keita won't join Lpool the paper generated names have been way off so far and to be fair since the VVD debacle the info coming out of the club has been shut off so unless the above wishes to say something more relevant take no notice.

9.) 21 Jun 2017 11:32:22
That being said, I would love to have him at Liverpool. We can always bid RBL £50-60M to see if their arm can be twisted. Well worth the money.

10.) 21 Jun 2017 13:11:39
Presumably Navy Kieta is a midfield destroyer?

11.) 21 Jun 2017 13:28:56
Keita will go nowhere. He has to force a move to get out of Leipzig.

It was Leipzigs first Season in the Bundesliga and the finished strong on 2nd Place. They played well and have with Mateschitz a Investor who wants to put in big money. The only players they sell are the once not needed and for stupid amounts.

As i am from germany and know what the german media reports i don't think Keita, Werner or Forsberg will go anywhere this summer.

12.) 21 Jun 2017 14:50:44
Navy Keita is his brother, the anchorman in midfield.

13.) 21 Jun 2017 15:47:23
I heard he'll make a great skipper one day.

14.) 21 Jun 2017 16:12:00
Only £50m for Navy Keita, one of Europe's best midfielders?

I can't seafarer than that.

15.) 21 Jun 2017 17:43:49
Signing Navy Keita certainly won't be smooth sailing. Can has been rocking the boat, and Leipzig could easily torpedo it. But if we do move for him, let's hope there are no more leaks.

16.) 21 Jun 2017 18:08:37
Hold the boat now. if he wants to jump ship I'm sure we will get our man!

17.) 21 Jun 2017 21:38:47
This story is gathering pace at a rate of knots! The buoy is good to be fair but I can't sea us getting this deal sealed. Probably another rumour to end up on the poop deck.

18.) 21 Jun 2017 22:50:12
With a name like Navy, perhaps the saga is to do with Everton? He sounds like a blue.

19.) 22 Jun 2017 00:18:43
This rumour is just gathering momentum from wave after wave of speculation.

It might he more beneficial to fish in other waters. Hopefully we can dangle out some bait and get somebody like Ken Aguero.

20.) 22 Jun 2017 12:29:43
I hope your ship comes in.

21.) 22 Jun 2017 12:36:17
Hello SA (i) LAH.

22.) 22 Jun 2017 12:38:14
The destroyer may shoot down a few MIGS. .

15 Jun 2017 05:07:50
Good morning all, Eds just heard from a friend who I fully trust that naby Keita is still very much a top target and negotiations will start shortly as emre can is now expected to leave. Do any of the Eds know if there is any validity to this rumour?

Joes treble

{Ed001's Note - the first bit is correct but not sure on the second. Last I heard Can wanted to stay, but that was before the season ended, so a lot could have changed, I guess.}

1.) 15 Jun 2017 05:17:14
Thanks for the reply and info Ed, hope the latter isn't true but at the same time if emre can doesn't want to be at the club then I'd rather he went.

2.) 15 Jun 2017 05:56:14
I'm pretty sure Can would want to stay but probably also wants to be starting rather than backup which could be the only reason I see him considering a move

I hope he stays though as I think in time he'll be a monster in the deeper midfield role.

3.) 15 Jun 2017 06:16:14
Keita will not be a replacement for Can. If Can goes, expect someone like Paredes or Carvalho to be targeted. Targets like Keita and Zielinski will add options to our midfield, not to replace someone.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool cannot keep adding players without replacing players.}

4.) 15 Jun 2017 08:00:51
Agreed ed but to be fair Lucas and Stewart will be gone as well as a few youngsters.

{Ed002's Note - The youngsters don't count.}

5.) 15 Jun 2017 09:09:23
If Keita comes, we will have a surfeit of central midfielders.

The EPL is just a little too quick for Can. But he may do very well in Serie A. Good luck to him if he goes.

6.) 15 Jun 2017 09:36:24
Do not agree that the EPL is to quick for Can. I think he could be a big player for LFC for a long time. He is one of the few players we have who can really handle the physical side of the game.

7.) 15 Jun 2017 10:16:26
We better keep Can. He already more than holds his own and will only keep improving. If he were English he'd be the next big thing and rated at about 50 million. But yet he's German and therefore is probably more likely to keep a steady rate of improvement. Beast.

8.) 15 Jun 2017 11:28:16
Can could be a really brilliant player for us. There are a few weaknesses to his game but all of which are teachable. He is built solid and can deal with the rough and tumble of the EPL.

9.) 15 Jun 2017 12:37:20
Who cares how "big" he is? How big is Kante? He gets closed down easily, takes too long to release the ball, and doesn't have a lot of awareness of what is going on around him. He seems a nice lad. But we need better.

10.) 15 Jun 2017 17:40:49
If all the additions are replacements then the depth of squad clearly does not improve. For me this is the thing missed in most of the conversations here and amongst our fans. I believe (and it is a personal view) that our best TEAM was as good as any of the top 6s best TEAMS, and better than most, but our SQUAD was/ is the worst of the top 6! So, Ed02 it may be true that financially that we can't keep adding without replacing but you can bet your bottom dollar that to compete for anything more than where we finished this year it is what we have to do. So if you are right then Houston we have a problem"

{Ed002's Note - You are making stuff up. I didn't say anything of the sort about money. You don't seem to get that the size of the squad is limited. It is absolutely hopeless explaining things over and over.}

11.) 15 Jun 2017 17:53:03
Oh no I understand the squad number limitations possibly more than many but we named and played more young players that are not ready for the first team than any other top 6 team. Those guys don't need replacing. I was not making things up I was assuming, maybe incorrectly, but the case stands our depth need some to improve!

12.) 15 Jun 2017 17:58:28
You reallly don't like anyone questioning your comments or judgements on these pages do you? It was not a criticism or a reason for argument it was just an opinion (which I referred to as my personal view) . I apologise if I assumed you meant it was financial and it wasn't but depth of squad is definitively an issue at Liverpool. Klopp got rid of a lot of deadwood last season, I assumed to therefore be able to add?!

13.) 15 Jun 2017 19:14:52
Can has great hair, he should stay for that reason alone.

14.) 15 Jun 2017 19:25:50
To be fair strength in depth dusnt nessaserily mean the amount of players we have it's more what quality we have in the amount of players we have so if we can replace a player for a better option then replacements make all the sense in the world.

15.) 16 Jun 2017 03:12:37
I rate can and don't wanna see him go. I think he has a great future, and he's pedigree speaks for itself, representing Germany at every level from U15's to full international.

09 Jun 2017 05:15:42
Morning :), Eds is there any truth to the emre mor rumours in the press?

Joes treble

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea what you are referring to. Sorry. If you are asking have we revived interest in him, then no, I don't believe we have.}

1.) 09 Jun 2017 10:34:40
I believe the rumour he is on about is apparently 'we have been offered the player', sounds like BS to me as i thought he was part of Dortmunds future plans.

2.) 09 Jun 2017 14:25:18
Sorry Ed, Alex is right though, I read emre mor was being offered on loan.

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate, you have to explain for me, I don't read the media on purpose or you end up confused by the lies and nonsense they spout.}

Afternoon Eds and reds, just wondering Eds if Michael Beale is heading back to Liverpool in some capacity? If so would he be giving Gerrard a helping hand and why did he cut his time short in São Paulo?

Joes treble

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea, sorry. maybe he will look to Celtic for a job?}

1.) 06 Jul 2017 15:53:47
Ok Ed thanks once again much appreciated.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 17:47:38
I'm sorry that is the biggest exaggeration ever. I thought Meirelles linked the play quite well in the latter third, he was best and tidy and passing and he scored goals. He was a little weak and shyed away from tackles but hardly a headless chicken.

3.) 06 Jul 2017 19:08:54
Sorry carlitoc but if you have a look this conversation doesn't involve Raul Meirelles.

06 Jul 2017 15:15:18
Afternoon all, Eds in regard to the expansion of anfield I've seen the work they are doing to the Kop as we speak, although any amount of seats added is a bonus will the club eventually build the kop higher and further back or will the work be done after the corners of the stand are expanded?

Joes treble

{Ed002's Note - This is probably just finishing off what wasn't completed last summer. The Phase 2 will be adding seats to take it up to the final 60k limit but it will likely not be financially viable to do it just yet. The plans can probably be viewed on the Liverpool City Council or club website - someone may even be able to provide a link.}

1.) 06 Jul 2017 16:04:54
Correct me if I'm wrong but its not the Kop that will get any larger expansion outside of the current disabled facilities being renovated.

The Anfield Road end is the proposed next phase of expansion.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea - it is a long time since the plans were submitted and it will be a while before any work is done.}

2.) 06 Jul 2017 16:19:28
Bobby is correct. It's the anfield rd not the kop.

3.) 06 Jul 2017 19:13:34
I live the other side of Stanley park (unfortunately) and I see anfield more or less every day, the club have took the two corners of the kop away to join onto the main stand and the centenary stand and that is not the disabled section.

4.) 06 Jul 2017 20:48:29
Thanks very much Ed I will have a look through the city council website now, was it originally planned to expand the kop last summer though Ed? I thought plans were for the main stand and anfield road originally. I was quite surprised when the club started work on the kop.

5.) 06 Jul 2017 21:25:30
The Kop is set for a summer makeover with Liverpool FC looking to add a further 470 seats to the world famous stand.

The proposed building work forms part of a planning application submitted to the city council as the Reds look to improve provisions for disabled supporters ahead of the 2017/ 18 season.

Around 1,000 seats will need to be moved in order for Liverpool to meet the requirements of the Accessible Stadia Guide. The number of wheelchair bays will be increased from 195 to more than 250.

The changes will have an impact on general admission seats and some season ticket holders will also have to be relocated elsewhere in the stadium. However, Liverpool insist that Anfield’s 54,000 capacity won’t be reduced as a result of the changes.

03 Jul 2017 14:57:11
Afternoon all, Eds is there anything in the fact that Leipzig have not included keita in their kit launch?

Joes treble

{Ed002's Note - Yes, they are sending subtle messages to the Liverpool fans.}

1.) 03 Jul 2017 15:26:04
Loving the humour there Ed002, keep up the good work.

Baz.

2.) 03 Jul 2017 15:28:54
great response ed:)

3.) 04 Jul 2017 01:45:32
That's exactly what I thought Ed 🎉🍺🍾 . I can't wait till he signs, thanks for the confirmation Ed002 😃.

01 Jul 2017 02:51:24
Eds, regardless of who we sign with obvious outgoing sharpening aswell, is it not worrying the fact that we struggled so much last season without champions league? For how taxing our style of play is on the players and adding champions league do you there being much room for improvement if any?

Joes treble

{Ed001's Note - I don't remember seeing our style of play as a problem, we went through a bad patch, but that was all it was. No team plays well every game.}

1.) 01 Jul 2017 06:22:45
Thanks for reply Ed. don't get me wrong I love the football we play with and without the ball, it just seemed to me that the players got a little tired in that bad patch but it obviously could of been for a number of reasons.

{Ed001's Note - they were covering plenty of distance still, I didn't see any tiredness personally, just a lot of players not playing well.}

2.) 01 Jul 2017 07:59:37
There a lot of attitude problems as well as we lacked the drive and belief to break teams down and step up to the plate. See Hull and LC defeats for evidence yet we were up for the fight after either of these losses when we went against Spurs and Arsenal respectively. It has nothing to do with physical tiredness. Mental fatigue due to the bad patch we were having? Maybe as that can take a toll on your confidence.

3.) 01 Jul 2017 09:25:31
I honestly didn't see it has a tiredness thing, more of a drop of form by certain players and the players who came in to replace missing players not being as good.
Teams started to play narrow with 10 men behind the ball, without Mane we had nobody who could get around this tactic especially at Anfield.
Gini and Can huffed and puffed but neither had the quality to find a way through teams that just parked the bus and let us play the final pass to MIlner or Clyne, who justs hopelessly crossed the ball into the box.
I believe our Aquisition of Salah and our pursuit of Keita will improve us greatly this season especially at home.
Can and Gini both had inconsistencies in their performances last season especially against teams at Anfield who parked the bus.
Clyne and MIlner were also poor against that tactic. I think TAA and a new left back will eventually replace them by October.
That's the way I saw it and i think we will see off teams at home much better this season, just my opinion.

28 Jun 2017 21:55:13
Eds I've just read that keita has said he would only leave Leipzig for city, Barcelona or Real Madrid and he doesn't see Liverpool as a big enough club.
Do you know if this is true?

Joes treble

{Ed007's Note - It's just his opinion mate so really who's to say if it's true or not? I know a few Eds that would agree with him if that helps.}

1.) 28 Jun 2017 23:05:06
Yes thanks a lot Ed much appreciated.

{Ed007's Note - You're welcome, and don't let it worry you what others say.}

2.) 28 Jun 2017 23:14:03
Ha I really don't know if ed is taking the mickey r if that is his actual answer. Joes, I'm not sure that's what he said. Wasn't it just that he could see himself at a big club like barca, Madrid or city. Though how he can put city in the same sentence as those I don't know. We are as big as city.

3.) 28 Jun 2017 23:29:59
Err, that's a quote from over a year ago mate, and never did he mention "only". He was giving examples for the clubs he would like to join one day.

4.) 29 Jun 2017 00:43:02
Kopdog We May Be As Big As City But What We Are Willing To Pay In Wages Is Nowhere Near As Big. So I Can Understand Why We MY Not Included In That Statement. Particularly If Its Written By His Agent 😀.

5.) 29 Jun 2017 01:15:45
As I said it's just what I read and that's why I asked if it was true because I have no clue if he has said anything like that.

6.) 29 Jun 2017 07:16:30
What have we won in the last 10 years compared to City Barcelona or Real Madrid?
Players have short careers, their definition of a big club is different to a fans.

7.) 29 Jun 2017 09:38:59
The quote was over a year ago before/ after he moved to RBL from RB Salzburg. There's not much to read into it, really. Players/ agents talk a lot of stuff all the time so getting hung up on what they say is just not worth the effort.

8.) 30 Jun 2017 14:06:56
City has become huge in past 10 years! We have won nothing over the years and why would he choose us?
