Ed's, any chance Liverpool may be looking at Ousmane Dembele on a free?!
{Ed002's Note - Ousmane Dembele (RW/LW/F) Klopp's interest does not seem to go away but the attraction will be that he is a Free Agent in the summer. Barcelona have tried again with a new contract with no luck and his agent is offering him around - but he is looking for a very large signing on package and significant wages. The issue with signing a new contract surrounds the same signing on bonus he is requesting from potential new clubs - as the same is being asked of Barcelona. PSG are seeking a French player still but have a preferred option and they don't need an Mbappe replacement - although Dembele fits the bill as a Di Maria replacement. Injury concerns, inconsistent form and high wages must be considered by any potential buyers. His agent has been told to find him a new club, and has spoken with (at least) Manchester United, Newcastle, Spurs, Juventus, PSG, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs. Most English sides would want far lower demands to consider him, but both Klopp and Tuchel do still like him. A new contract is looking less likely as Barcelona are progressing on his replacement, although price is blocking that transfer right now.}

Liverpool to sign Frenkie De Jong. Koop has been a long time admirer, initially interested before Barcelona signed him, but LFC could not compete money-wise. Barcelona are willing to let De Jong go for £65mill and at 25 years old it's not a bad deal. Man Utd hold a huge interest and Ten Hag being there holds huge weight but lack of champions league football is just as big a factor. Big Virg, dropping us a couple of clues in the media already about this one. Keep your eyes peeled, this one will be a huge battle, but if De Jong does end up moving I think it will be to Liverpool.

Ed's, as always appreciate your hard graft!
Just a quick q - with everyone raving about Musialowskis goal last night, it's dawned on me that he is 20years old and has never been given a chance to be in the first team squad. is there some sort of issue with him, or is he deemed as someone who is just not good enough?

He was allowed to travel with his agent to TSV Hartberg in Austria in the Summer to negotiate a move but LFC changed the terms at the last. minute and the deal fell through.
His contract expires on 30th June 2024. He won't be getting a new one.

small and struggles accordingly (has had injury issues) - gifted dribbler but relies on that too much and seems to drift out of games. tends to only press what's in front of him - not sure if its a fitness issue or not. Also not convinced about his ability to bring others into the game - needs to get his head up more and stop trying to dribble through the entire opposition team (though to be fair i have seen him do that) .

JayDubRed. I am a person that thinks anyone who puts the Red shirt on is not good enough until they prove it through their performances. with Phillips being English we will pay an inflated fee and the difference in playing 1game a week for Leeds to sometimes 3games in 8/ 9days for Liverpool is different. the pressure and the expectation is different. but from what I have seen thus far from KP he is not good enough to play at the level required.
