So, in summary, 28 departures in the "Summer" window across first team, U23 and U18 squads, but excluding Niall Brookwell who was on "scholar" terms and has joined Newcastle. These were 12 loans and 16 permanent moves. There were seven arrivals. The Winter window opens in 74 days.
Anything else happening today?

For those who haven't been counting, especially if you missed Ed001's excellent summary on the Rumours page yesterday morning, Ovie Ejaria's permanent move to Reading means that there have been 16 departures this summer including two on loan. I reckon we have now reached the half-way point on players leaving. Time will tell.
{Ed001's Note - that was Ed002 mate.}

What about Ben Woodburn, Nathan Phillips, Liam Millar, Herbie Kane and Sepp Van Den Berg? Trouble is, all of the interested clubs are skint. Either that, or they are hoping for a reduced fee in a last minute deal. They won't get that with Michael Edwards on the case.
Hey Moreton-Red, is the Morton Arms on Pasture Rd still thriving as a den of iniquity like it did in the sixties?
{Ed002's Note - I would would expect all to leave on loan and even those with no future at LFC (like LM) just to get a loan. The club have tried to sell on many of the youngsters but have hit the over-priced or no cash issue - many clubs are finding the same.}

I do feel sorry for Koulibaly, just at a time in life when he is entitled to be thinking of his pipe and slippers, he keeps seeing his name in the football transfer headlines. He has never done any of us harm, why not let him retire gracefully?

Not a single poster on this thread has commented on the player's footballing ability, which in my view, is without question. But you need more than that to be effective in a brutal league. I'm surprised so many of you are struggling with this.
Buzzer says above that Minamino may well be tearing up the Bundesliga in a couple of years time, he is probably spot-on.

I hope you guys take this comment in the positive spirit that it is meant but if I was still picking players for eight-a-side teams in the Liverpool Business Houses League, as I did in the seventies and eighties, Minamino would be the first name on my team sheet.
From the day he arrived at LFC I just couldn't picture him having any impact what-so-ever in the Premier League, which is brutal, and I still can't.
Just my opinion.

I am struggling a bit with this question as I can't see a Liverpool link apart from getting the winner for Wolves at Anfield in the mid-eighties. I remember him playing for a lot of lower league Welsh clubs throughout his career.
I can't remember what I had for tea last night, though!

Polecat, I love your suggestion to play two seriously injured players in Dixon-Bonner and Glatzel, I am sure that will cheer them both up.
Either one of them would be more effective than Origi, though, even in plaster.

Are the first three figures per year?
