Hi Ed’s and reds, do we hold any interest in cherki and Almada of Lyon?
Has our interest moved on completely from zubimendi? Many thanks.
1.) 15 Apr 2025 15:45:43
We hold an interest in Cherki but nothing concrete in terms of movement.
As for Zubimendi, that ship has sailed. I’d be very surprised if any negotiations for a deal are revived, especially considering he has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
18 Mar 2025 15:07:58
Hugo larsson has been linked recently anything in this?
Cheers.
1.) 18 Mar 2025 16:12:54
If he's related to Henrik, great!
2.) 18 Mar 2025 17:15:17
Remember being linked to Hugo viana back in the day.
3.) 18 Mar 2025 17:28:15
Very good player, all action midfielder who will continue to improve at his age, probably wanted by every big team around though.
4.) 18 Mar 2025 19:49:48
Jota plus cash for Cunha, Kelleher plus cash for Kerkez. Latest rumours doing the rounds.
5.) 18 Mar 2025 20:58:04
Kelleher is worth the same as Kerkez, surely.
6.) 18 Mar 2025 21:28:35
I’d trade Jota for Hugo Stiglitz at this stage.
7.) 19 Mar 2025 08:56:36
Kerkez is a Manc so will never play for us.
8.) 19 Mar 2025 12:34:53
On the subject of Henrik Larsen. Never saw the hype. Beyond filling his boots in Scotland he was pretty ordinary.
9.) 19 Mar 2025 13:24:26
I hardly believe someone being a man United plastic would stop them joining Liverpool.
10.) 19 Mar 2025 16:57:48
No-g kerkez is Hungarian and has probably never watched a single game in the stands, there’s a difference between being a manc and actually being a manc, who he liked to play as on fifa when he was a kid will bear absolutely no relevance to whether he would or wouldn’t join us.

Hi Ed’s, been reading lots suggesting that we’re making a move for Mohammed Kudus or Johan Bakayoko are these the RW targets?
{Ed002's Note - Mohammed Kudus (AM) West Ham are not looking to sell - perhaps in the summer of 2025 if a significant offer is made matching his release clause which then comes into effect.
Johan Bakayoko (RW) Cost effective solution for PSG but may stuggle to be a starter. Liverpool have him down the list of potential Salah replacements but have not made any approach to PSV. Borussia Dortmund see him as an option to Sancho. Spurs and Brentford offer realistic options. Chelsea and Manchester City have sent scouts but both have preferred options.}
1.) 08 May 2024 15:39:32
Ed, do you have any information about how big is Kudus' release clause?
{Ed002's Note - Yes but that is for 2025, not now.}
2.) 08 May 2024 18:37:35
Ed002 I know you have responded before but can’t find it via the search function and it may now be an updated list of names, but who are Liverpool actively looking at to replace the inevitable Salah departure?
Surely not Sane still as that was Klopp who had the hots was it?
{Ed002's Note - 25 Apr 2024 13:49:38}
3.) 08 May 2024 23:04:10
Cheers Ed, much appreciated.
I’d hope we avoid Sane, Edwards, Neto and Chiesa.
4.) 09 May 2024 04:50:42
Thanks Ed002
Sane is not the answer, Edward’s nowhere near good enough for the reds, Bakayoko could be good but is unproven at this level and I struggle to think of any others that would be a good fit?
Who in your own opinion would be a good option to fill Salah right sided role?
I would possibly look at more of an out and out striker and have less focus on the need for our wide players to provide high goal returns each season.
What strikers would you personally suggest could be possible decent options 002?
{Ed002's Note - Edwards is a very well liked player. Kubo might be a risk and may take time to settle. I am not aware of Liverpool looking for an out and out striker.}
5.) 08 May 2024 23:04:12
Hi Ed, I searched in the dare search option for the 25 April rumours but it says that option is not available and gives me a multiple choice option from 21 Apr to 24 April, I assume I'm doing something wrong, any help would be appreciated.
{Ed033's Note - The rumours archives weren't caught up to 25 April 2024 but they are now. This page is the 25 April 2024 Rumours Archives

I think we might give Elliott and Szoboszlai opportunities on the right side of the attack. I don't know how Slot utilises his wide men but if they're coming from deep and creating, that could work. If he likes goal scoring wingers who will run in behind the defence then we'll have to dip into the market. I don't think we can replace Salah like for like though. The only player in Europe who can without a massive drop off is Saka and even he is levels below right now. So it's either adapt to play slightly differently as a team or bring in a pale imitation and make ourselves weaker as a team.
Salah is the greatest winger in Premier league history. You simply don't get players who pump out 20 goals and 10 assists (minimum) for 7 years straight. It never happened before and it'll be a long time before it happens again. He's absolutely in the same conversation as Kane, Lewandowski, Benzema, Suarez etc. He never matched Messi or Ronaldo, but he was in that next bracket without a doubt. We as fans have got to appreciate how lucky we've been and accept that players like Salah don't come around that often. We were blessed to have Suarez and Salah in the same decade, undeniably 2 of the top 10 forwards of their era. Slot's got a job on his hands to restructure our attack because we likely can't look to one player for a guaranteed 30-60 goals involvements a season going forward. Arsenal are showing you can compete without that though. And City used to beat us to the league pre-Haaland with goals spread around the team. It can be done.
7.) 11 May 2024 21:43:13
Ed33, sorry for the late reply but thank you for the help in finding the page ?.
{Ed033's Note - ok, thanks.
8.) 12 May 2024 02:02:13
@Plovdiv, I heard a rumour that his release clause is quite big - about seven or eight pages long.
05 May 2024 16:17:54
Hi eds and reds, I’d read and rather interesting piece regarding a potential swap deal involving Darwin Nunez and Lois Openda. Surely nonsense?
{Ed002's Note - I would have thought someone is teasing you.}
14 Apr 2024 23:31:37
Hey Ed’s and reds, just a quick one spend the last few months over in San Sebastián working, watch a good bit of Takefusa Kubo seems like he might be a very decent salah replacement. Are we watching him? Or is he likely to go back to Real Madrid?
{Ed002's Note - Takefusa Kubo (RW/LW) Move has worked out well for him and he has signed a new long-term contract ending all interest from England.}
1.) 15 Apr 2024 10:43:32
Ed002 - what are your thoughts of Cole Palmer being able to do a job for Liverpool?
{Ed002's Note - I am sure he would do well but Liverpool have shown no interest in him and Chelsea won't be looking to sell.}
2.) 15 Apr 2024 21:33:35
He’s having a pretty good night tonight.
3.) 16 Apr 2024 06:55:40
Pretty sure Madrid would have first dibs on Kubo so we can forget about that. We’re probably still interested in dross like Sane, Raphinha or Marcus Edwards. Hardly an inspiring list.
4.) 16 Apr 2024 12:04:52
Viktor - Ask your doctor for some prozac mate, it might help you.
Under every post you're all doom and gloom, they'll help you lighten up lad.
5.) 16 Apr 2024 19:19:19
We probably are still interested in Sane, Raphinha and Edwards, Gunn10 and they are all dross. there's no disputing they’re dross either as that’s unequivocal fact.
6.) 16 Apr 2024 21:26:51
Sane is a great player with a shizer attitude.
Amorim might be able to manage him and direct him to improve off the pitch!
7.) 17 Apr 2024 09:16:30
???@VV, you sure you don’t mean unequivocal opinion?
15 Oct 2020 03:17:33
Yeah I thought he was drawing is pension now, but have seen a couple of reports saying we are interested. Seems a bit daft to me we have some very promising youngsters on the roster, why not give them a go, if faith has been lost in Adrian. It’s weird Adrian at the start of last Season showed glimpse of brilliance and looked like a very good player. But either his form has dipped or he’s buckled under the pressure of being LFC no.2 GK. his confidence seems to be shattered.
04 Jul 2020 08:51:43
Would be an absolutely amazing signing, and has Klopp written all over him, super versatile can play everywhere in midfield and can cover CB and FB too. If this true I’d be very happy, he’s looked great for Schalke.
30 Jun 2020 15:49:36
Shame.
08 Jan 2017 20:49:29
Sorry Ron, but I got to disagree with you mate. Have you seen much of Quincey Promes play? He's a totally different build to Christian Atsu, he's much stronger on the ball, he'd be a great addition to the team. He's quick, strong and can finish. I've seen him play all over the pitch, LM/ RM/ CAM/ LW/ RW/ CF/ ST.
12 Aug 2016 14:22:52
Chilwell was only 18/ 19.
