Liverpool have rejected Leverkusen's Loan bid for Tyler Morton. I wonder what the future holds for him, he is training with the U-21's so i don't think he is considered an option for the 1st team this season.
1.) 28 Aug 2024 18:28:01
He is training with he first team from what I have seen. It's just that he hasn't made the bench yet for us.
2.) 28 Aug 2024 18:33:04
Fall back option in case Rabiot doesn’t happen.
3.) 28 Aug 2024 18:40:45
Leverkusen is allowed to come back with an improved loan bid, no? Or is that no longer allowed?
4.) 28 Aug 2024 19:04:31
Interestingly, Morton mostly came on in the more advanced midfield position in the pre-season games. It was only the Betis game that he played in one of the two deeper positions. Does Slot even view him as a DM?
5.) 28 Aug 2024 20:04:55
He would fit one of the two CM positions we play sure.
6.) 28 Aug 2024 20:48:32
Personally I’d prefer Alan Varela ahead of Rabiot and looks like Rabiot’s going to Milan. Varela and Inacio to add to Chiesa would make it a good window for us ?.

I think Trent and Slot will get along just fine :)
1.) 27 Aug 2024 01:16:42
This was before.
2.) 27 Aug 2024 10:51:31
That's an old vid, mate.
3.) 27 Aug 2024 11:11:10
It was before the major incident of Trent being substituted and not being happy about? ?.
4.) 27 Aug 2024 12:18:24
Its definitely an old video Slot has less hair now.
5.) 27 Aug 2024 15:30:54

MK SCOUSER: I love your posts, and i want to apologize if my criticism of Rabiot really pissed you off so much. I was nursing a 39 degree fever and was pretty touchy and wanted to take the time to say am sorry if in any way shape or form you felt insulted by my words. I meant nothing by it and you are one of the best posters on this site for over a decade!
1.) 26 Aug 2024 13:39:32
Fiskesprett, the whole thing got out of hand mate and I'd been trying to think of the right words to start this peace offering myself, so I'm grateful for your classy post making it easier for me.
To try and explain my reaction, I have a friend who has very recently come close to suicide due to being too embarrassed to talk about how he was feeling and on the day of that post when that person said they would kill themselves if we signed Rabiot, I had just managed to convince my mate it wasn't embarrassing to go to see his GP and that his suicidal thoughts were a result of him being ill. Having also been relatively close to a victim of suicide 8 years ago, it's a subject very dear to me. I battled my own mental health issues in my early 20's and I genuinely think people who haven't been in that dark place simply cannot comprehend how degrading comments like that feel to some people in the situation. It belittles the whole mental health debate by reinforcing the misguided view that suicide is an over reaction to a singular event, when it should be resoundingly recognised as the final symptom of a serious illness that requires urgent specialist treatment.
That one comment just made me so angry that I lost all composure in the whole debate about Rabiot and took it out on others (yourself included) who weren't saying things anywhere near as bad as that. So I accept your apology fully and hope you can accept mine too. I just needed to remove myself from the site for a couple of days as there was far too much negativity about Rabiot that kept replaying that one comment in my mind. I wasn't insulted by anything you or anyone said though, I was just extremely angry before our debate even started and couldn't regulate that anger to decipher between what was fair criticism of Rabiot and what was an extension of the gross over reaction from before. Which ironically cause me to over react to people like yourself. It's the single worst comment I've ever seen on this site but I've moved on from the anger now and hopefully my words here will help others understand that suicide is just not a laughing matter. I'm still staggered it was even posted given how serious an issue suicide is amongst men. Comments like that are extremely damaging to the whole cause. Joking about suicide should never be normalised or accepted because when somebody reaches out for help for real, we cannot afford to have their friends and family second guessing how legitimate the cry for help is or thinking they're just over reacting to one bad event for attention. Lives are literally at stake and comments like that may seem small, but society (mainly amongst men) has to change. In the UK in 2022 there were an average of 15 suicides per day and 74% of them were men.
Hopefully I've articulated myself better now I'm calmer. Maybe I'm overly passionate about this topic in the eyes of some but I personally think that's what is needed now because we let it go too far the other way as a collective. The anger was never really about you or Rabiot though, Fiskesprett. That just happened to be the topic in question and you were the poor bloke in front of me. I am annoyed at myself because I'm normally a huge advocate for constructive criticism and allowing different opinions. Glad we can move past the whole thing to be honest though. If anyone else felt I reacted angrily to their negativity towards Rabiot, please also accept my apologies.
2.) 26 Aug 2024 14:00:32
Very well said by both of you.
3.) 26 Aug 2024 15:17:37
It happens, guys. Let's move on.
4.) 26 Aug 2024 15:31:17
You don't have to apologize at all mate, you didn't do much really and i feel the criticism was a bit overboard so you were right to say something. Stay strong and if anything ever bothers you talk about it and don't keep it locked up! that's the worst you can do.
5.) 26 Aug 2024 17:47:38
Love this site sometimes.
Usually when there’s a fall out between regular posters, the next day there’s a handshake and it’s all forgotten.
{Ed025's Note - the way it should be Mikey..
6.) 26 Aug 2024 18:20:53
Love it, Mikey. We're dealing with grown up's out here, IMO. Real men who self-criticize, admit when they think they are wrong, own up to it and apologize, if it is indeed their wish.
Long may it continue.
7.) 26 Aug 2024 19:18:15
That right there is the best of this site.
8.) 26 Aug 2024 21:15:05
Well said guys both great posters. I agree the suicide comment should never have been posted.
9.) 26 Aug 2024 22:25:25
As a person whose job it is to help players with mental health issues and even more recently as someone who had my own suicidal thoughts after my son died, I get why people use the idiom I just wish they wouldn't. You've no idea how dark the place is when you seriously consider that option.
10.) 26 Aug 2024 23:30:34
Nevada stay strong and keep up this important and brilliant work.

Just because Real Madrid might be interested in Mac-Allister doensn't mean we are willing to sell him. We will probably issue a hands off warning or ask a very very high fee because there is no release clause in his contract pricing out of a move basically!
Tchoumeni, Camavinga, Valverde, Bellingham, Guler + others.
Where does he actually fit in? Maybe he prefers to be a key player and a starter for us, rather than a bench warmer in Spain, but i don't know him personally!
30 Aug 2024 14:57:01
his release clause is 70 million € in one go. Porto signed him last summer and have no interest in selling or negotiating! We aren't going to pay 70 million € in one go for a 21 year old with one season in Europe. More likely a target for next summer where we already have done some leg work with his agent, and maybe Porto will be more willing to sell then for a structured deal. I believe the same goes for Goncalo Inacio.
30 Aug 2024 14:54:23
I am not knocking down Chiesa and he could very well be a fantastic signing, but what you are saying is beyond the realm of reality and possibility. If we are so unbelievably stupid then there is no way up for this club ever again! Sorry, Chiesa is a complete unknown, we don't know if he will take to the PL, or how his form will translate over here, nothing he did last year suggests he could replace Salah at all. My only hope is his form is on an upwards trajectory and he could become a Potential Salah replacement next season if finds the Chiesa of 3 years ago. Because the Chiesa of last seasons is not good enough to replace the best RW in the world.
30 Aug 2024 14:49:08
I don't know if the Club has an option for an extra year on his contract but this is his final year on it and he is a free agent next summer! So weird we didn't sell him for 6 million £ last year when we knew he will never make it here and that he is out of contract soon. Now he leaves for free and we cover 60% of his 65 000 pr. week wages for the rest of the year. Good luck Nathan Philipps! YNWA mate, thanks for the decent performances when we were down to the bare bones. Gave it his all!
29 Aug 2024 15:14:50
without a replacement it would be very stupid to let go of Gomez, Konate is injury-prone (ish) and Quansah is not yet the finished article. Pluss i don't know if anyone noticed but i think Quansah is much better at LCB, when van Dijk was rested i though Quansah had much better control when playing at LCB rather than RCB where he sometimes fails to track runners behind.
14 Sep 2024 13:53:44
He was supposed to be loaned out to the championship but suffered a back injury that he is still recovering from. I for one have very high hopes for Danns!
11 Sep 2024 16:03:23
Curtis Jones back in training, hopefully he can stay fit. Hopefully Elliot comes back stronger!
09 Sep 2024 21:59:51
You're 100% right liverpoolfc8! Couldn't agree more. Mine f. eks is from the 1996/ 1997 season when Fowler and Mcmanaman were on fire! We didn't win nothing but i was young and loved the attacking football!
09 Sep 2024 17:02:36
well am offended that you're offended by people being offended Liverpoolfc8. How dare you?!
08 Sep 2024 14:42:13
Don't see the hype. Not what we need imo.
