Did I miss something are we going to be selling coutinho or is it paper talk ed can you clear this up for me pal.

{Ed001's Note - bit of nothing really mate. Neymar has been public and vocal over his desire for Barcelona to sign Coutinho. That is the source of all the stories.}

1.) 26 Mar 2017 19:29:44
If we get CL football it might all just blow over anyway mate. Coutinho is happy in Liverpool but wants to play at the top of the game. As long as we can offer him that opportunity, we can probably convince him to stay for at least another season.

2.) 26 Mar 2017 20:59:52
I think we would be better take 50 or 60 million and get rid, put the money to use and buy two quality players. Coutihno is good but he's not world class he's too inconsistent. Gerrard is what world class should be defined as, that shot in the charity match that hit the bar.

3.) 26 Mar 2017 21:27:45
That shot that hit the bar? Gerrard was world class once but I don't think hitting the bar is the measure of that. Really? Couts is still only 24. The second he finds consistency, he's a world beater.

4.) 26 Mar 2017 21:48:07
I mean it was just a reminder of what gerrard was capable of in his heyday 87red, how many goals from 30 to 40 yards did he score over the years. I know which I would rather have in my team, a young gerrard beats coutihno everyday of the week.

5.) 26 Mar 2017 23:49:32
Stevie could still do a job in the 1st team as an impact player for the last 20.
A wealth of experience and talent.
We still have no one better with the dead ball set pieces.
In my opinion Rodgers couldn't get him out the door quick enough.

6.) 27 Mar 2017 07:23:48
Gerrard was a wonderful player back in the day but he could not add anything to the first team now. He struggled in a p@ss poor MLS, his legs have gone.

Rodgers was not a tosser for letting gerrard go, it was the right time to do so.

Wobs, of course a young gerrard over couts (a young gerrard over pretty much anyone really) but gerrard is far from young now and I can't remember the last 30 yarder he scored.

Couts can and will be a top top player.

7.) 27 Mar 2017 11:06:49
Gerrard's a Free-kick genius as well his long rangers are still the best in the world. His set pieces especially corners is miles better than Milner.

8.) 27 Mar 2017 13:18:01
Gerrard will always be remembered as world class. Not just by supporters but fellow world class players too!

12 Mar 2017 19:06:04
I'm sure if it's been covered but is there two different shopping lists depending on if we get champions league.

{Ed002's Note - No Farno. There will be preferred and options for positions or roles that the club are looking to fill.}

1.) 12 Mar 2017 20:12:47
Cool thanks ed for the quick response.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

2.) 13 Mar 2017 16:06:26
There's two different shopping lists for me, one for the champagne if we qualify, the other will be bleach if we don't.

3.) 14 Mar 2017 12:37:49
😄@ Bobcat.

08 Mar 2017 11:00:20
Question for the eds I know you say never to get hung up on money but if we sell Sturridge in the summer which looks likely what type of price would we get for him considering his injury record I'm guessing 30 mil just for the fact that he's English.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but £30M is a lot of money to most clubs and I can think of plenty that would not want to risk such a sum on a player who has struggled with injury issues and is fickle about where he plays. I would think that interested sides will be looking initially for a loan or a loan to buy deal rather than jumping in with a large bid.}

1.) 08 Mar 2017 11:56:07
If someone pays £30m for Daniel Sturridge I'd like a private word with them. I've got an old BMW I'd love to get rid of.
Looks nice and when it works it purrs like a dream but It's expensive to run and completely unreliable.

2.) 08 Mar 2017 18:49:38
Good one Pete! 👍🏻 I think we'd do well to get 20 million for him due to the amount of time he spends on the physio's table!

3.) 08 Mar 2017 20:24:41
Cheers ed I'd say West Ham would be the type to jump at Sturridge.

4.) 08 Mar 2017 21:52:17
£15-18m max I would say.
Too much of a risk for most clubs.
Unless he goes to China.

5.) 08 Mar 2017 21:39:38
Would the OP pay 30m for Studge right now? If the answer is no, why should we think another team should do that?

If we don't sign anyone else and pipco leaves how do people feel about that.

1.) 31 Aug 2017 16:25:14
We have proved we can cope without him this season.

He has lost a lot of respect for the way he has lied and deceived the club he claims he will always love.

Not even Suarez or Torres tried forcing their way out.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 16:25:59
Like we've missed a trick - real potential for us to move forward with one or two other signings before the window closes - if we don't we'll still be looking strong but it will smack of an opportunity missed. Would still fancy us to do well this season though.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 16:33:13
"Not even Suarez or Torres tried forcing their way out. "

do you read what you're typing adamski or just make up your own opinions and pass them of as truth?

4.) 31 Aug 2017 16:33:45
Actually, I thought that both Suarez and Torres did force their way out.

5.) 31 Aug 2017 16:44:35
Yes they did with Suarez at one point considering asking us to court.

6.) 31 Aug 2017 17:00:32
I don't remember them handing in transfer requests and faking back injuries.

27 Aug 2017 08:49:06
Sorry ed002 what's that twitter handle your friend runs.

{Ed002's Note - The only chap I know who has a Twitter account is #WonderDogSparky but he doesn't have any handles.}

1.) 27 Aug 2017 09:43:10
Sparky the wonderdog is one of my favourite things on twitter. Genuinely funny.

2.) 27 Aug 2017 22:34:51
Not funny at all!

23 Aug 2017 21:35:22
Well done Liverpool.

23 Aug 2017 10:56:17
With only a short amount of time left in the transfer window I think we're still short 3 players especially if big Phil goes I'd love to see a cb come in and with the vvd deal looking unlikely I'd love us to test Spurs resolve with a bid for alderwield as it's looking like he won't sign a new contract I'd also like a cm either keita or kovacic and then maybe a player like insigne or Brandt I know I'm dreaming but we're aloud dream aren't we and on a final point best of luck to the lads tonight.

1.) 23 Aug 2017 11:34:50
We need atleast one CB and a CM. Also need a lot of drills in set piece defending.

2.) 23 Aug 2017 11:22:09
Alderwireld be a great signing and probly a lot cheaper than vvd. I think we need some cover for the wings aswell can't rely on mane and salah every game especially with the amount of games we will have this season. Think keita balde would be a good signing and like you say kovacic would be a great addition.

3.) 23 Aug 2017 11:53:23
Alderweireld would not be a lot cheaper than VVD, Daniel Levy is the same man who robbed City of £50m for Kyle Walker, I can only imagine what he'd want for Spurs' best defender.

4.) 23 Aug 2017 11:54:57
Leeboy they sold walker for 50 mil and Toby is a better playes. Levy would not let him go unless it was a lot more than that' so I fail to see how's it's a cheaper option.

5.) 23 Aug 2017 11:55:43
Yeah how would Alderweireld be cheaper? He'd cost a ridiculous fee but, unlike Walker, would at least be worth it (relatively speaking) .

6.) 23 Aug 2017 13:42:19
I'd happily see us pay 60m+ for Alderweireld.

7.) 23 Aug 2017 16:13:49
Good grief! If you think Alderweireld (who is much better than VVD) is cheaper than VVD then I fear for you.

20 Jul 2017 23:23:49
After all the talk of the firm on twitter I had a look and how anyone takes them seriously baffles me and as for some of there rumours being right even a stopped clock is right twice a day so I'd just like to say to all the eds thanks for the smashing work you do and for all the great reliable and insightful info (I'm looking at you ed002) anyway rant over cheers lads.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks Farno, we all appreciate it.}

Waste of time they have to revamp it some way to make it interesting my hopes is that no Liverpool player comes back injured.

But you should be concerned that Phil could go Because the way I see it we haven't replaced him with someone of his very high standard nk doesn't join till next year and ox wouldn't be a patch on Phil yet anyway I believe klopp will turn him good.

Ed 001 would you ever talk to macca outside this site?

{Ed001's Note - I have done in the past many times mate. He is a nice guy. But I have not spoken to him outside of the site for a long while now, not since I deleted FB. Why mate?}
