Any truth in saints reporting an illegal approach ed? Still reckon vvd will happen?

Echo lies

{Ed001's Note - I don't know. It does seem likely they will and with good reason, even if the approach was not from us we should have spoken to them first.}

I love Klopp . Us reds love Klopp . That is all . Tap into he's love people . In Klopp we trust ♥️.

Echo lies

1.) 28 Jun 2017 10:13:03
I love Klopp as well BUT he needs to clean up his act cos the things Ed02 has revealed about him (tapping players up is only one of several issues the Ed revealed) are very worrisome to me and should be equally worrisome to any LFC fan.

2.) 28 Jun 2017 10:46:31
Im not worried about it one bit. It's what he gets the players doing on the pitch is what matters to me. What's done is done.

3.) 28 Jun 2017 11:33:10
So I guess it's "the end justifies the means" then?!
Does nobody care about the poor kids family who got screwed?
If it happened to you. would you still love the club and manager?
Don't get me wrong, I love this club, but after what edd002 said about the kids family, it seriously got me thinking and questioning, is a club that acts this way, worth my undying love and adoration?

4.) 28 Jun 2017 12:13:36
I don't really get the tapping up problem. There are a lot of players who say "Yes im constantly in contact with club x or manager x". Why is it such a huge problem now?

Im not really sure how speaking with one person is or could be illegal in any way. AND as far as it got reported, the FA didn't find any evidence or not enough evidence, that Klopp or the Club did something wrong. Everyone needs to calm down.

{Ed001's Note - morals are non-existent in your world then? I am sick of this moronic justification of us lowering ourselves to the level of scum like Real Madrid. LFC used to stand for something, but the fans have lost sight of what it means.}

5.) 28 Jun 2017 12:34:33
Ed001: it has nothing to do with morals. As far as i can tell managers and clubs get in contact with you monitoring your situation at a club.
When i played in the youth bundesliga there where a few clubs that stayed in contact with my parents (obv i was underage) and talked about my future and possible transfers.

It is nothing new and everybody does that.

{Ed001's Note - again that is morals. If you can't understand that, please do not try and correct me, because you are simply wrong. Your morals differ from mine. I believe in being better than others, not the same corrupt scum. You seem to think it is ok to be like the scum, and justify it because they all do it. You obviously do not get it and I fear for this world because so few people do.}

6.) 28 Jun 2017 12:55:50
Next thing you know we will be calling Lance Armstrong a true champion because everybody was juicing!

{Ed001's Note - exactly.}

7.) 28 Jun 2017 13:02:27
The ruin of the world is falling to other people's standards rather than trying to raise them to yours.

We should strive to do what's right, not what we can get away with.

8.) 28 Jun 2017 13:54:20
I've got to be honest. I don't really see the problem with "tapping up" except for in extreme cases when clubs take it too far. I think we took it too far with Van Dijk with the whole meeting in Blackpool and leaks to the press.

However I don't see the issue with clubs making contact with players to see if they would be interested in joining them and making them a personal offer. To expect this not to happen and for clubs to not make any contact or offer to a player until they have the permission of their club kind of reminds me of the old-fashioned not asking a girl if she wants to marry out until you have her father's permission.

These are grown adults in employment. They can make up their own minds. If another club has persuaded a player to come and join them, it is up to the club they are with to persuade them to stay. Football is a very public industry so a lot of the time you are going to know if big clubs are interested in a player.

It has happened with players we have owned and we have done it ourselves in the past. I have complained about it happening in neither of these cases.

{Ed001's Note - I give up. Morals are dead. If you can't play by the rules then don't play the game and this kind of moronic justification is sickening. Cheating is not ok and if you think it is then you are no better than Lance Armstrong. No one needs to tap up a player. It is not asking them if they are interested or you would just ask their agent ffs. If you are having to speak to them personally, then there is a problem.}

9.) 28 Jun 2017 14:23:34
If the rules state you have to speak to the player's club before speaking to the player, why can't all clubs do it, it's not rocket science? I want our club to do like I do and do things properly!

10.) 28 Jun 2017 15:10:22
Rufusthered: To put it in context, would you be ok with some guy chatting up your missus and seeing if she's interested in ditching you?
The rules state that you can only talk with a player after a fee has been agreed with his club (unless he has 6 months remaining) whether it happens a lot or not (it does) is irrelevant - nobody should be doing it.

11.) 28 Jun 2017 17:49:27
Rufusthered and Crammie, "If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything". That was a line from Dr Dre in his song Been There, Done That. Do you know how and why Trump got elected? It is because of people who hold the same views and lack any moral standing like you, have decimated the American way of life. There is no more common decency, empathy and regard for principles anymore and it is killing the U. S day by day. It was a failure of America's moral values and institutions that got us the worst president in the country's history. I propose that you both, desist from having such views and lack of regard for morals or you will be part of the problem that tapping up is, except of course, you are both fine with the immorals that is infesting the game.

Here's one . Who is the most surprising signing that took you by suprise. Obv on a positive note . one that went totally under the radar . Just to get jokes out the way il say Stephen caulker . Also if Eds was taken by suprise by any signing.

1.) 18 Jun 2017 18:11:46
Assaidi. Outta nowhere.

2.) 18 Jun 2017 18:20:24
Paul Konchesky what were we thinking 😂.

3.) 18 Jun 2017 18:22:56
From recent windows:Ballotelli for one; Klavan to some extent and Benteke simply because I couldn't see how the team with the lowest crosses can feed a striker who thrives on them.

4.) 18 Jun 2017 18:34:25
IIRC, Firmino was a major transfer that came sotta out of nowhere. It wasn't a position we were looking to strengthen (I don't think he played striker back then) and suddenly one night it was reported that we had a big money deal accepted and two days he was with a shirt.

5.) 18 Jun 2017 18:45:42
Andy Carroll.

6.) 18 Jun 2017 18:46:56
I think Robbie Fowler's second coming. All hail god!

7.) 18 Jun 2017 18:50:36
Rail miereles was a big surprise signing out of nowhere.

8.) 18 Jun 2017 19:52:43
There's a few. Agger, Meireles, Pennant, Fowler (2nd time), Andy Carroll, Gary Mac, Salif Daio (sorry) .

9.) 18 Jun 2017 20:53:47
The Rickie Lambert one seemed to be over in about 2 days and was a huge shock to me.

10.) 18 Jun 2017 21:09:42
Rush is coming home was one of the best surprises of my life - remember it like it was yesterday 🏆.

11.) 18 Jun 2017 22:18:18
Litmanen.

12.) 18 Jun 2017 22:33:46
When we signed Bellamy for the second time. On transfer deadline day. I don't think anybody saw it coming?

13.) 18 Jun 2017 22:52:46
Fowlers second coming was the biggest shock and made me most excited.

12 Jun 2017 08:16:01
Edd. My Sly contract and my bt up soon . Do you ever see a situation where we can pay to see our team play . Like a match choice and pay to view Liverpool . I'd like to have a choice to my viewing .

Echo lies

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, clubs want to take control of their own streaming rights in the future.}

1.) 12 Jun 2017 08:26:22
Makes Some sense I guess - people won't have to subscribe to two providers and even then not be able to watch all their club games. better the club benefits from the subscription fees too. Can't help but think might be some unintended consequences though.

Any downsides you can foresee eds (eg. If not on normal television and accessible to everyone is there a risk the overall supporter base dwindles a bit like what's happened to F1 and boxing? Is there a downside to people potentially only watching their own clubs? ) .

Is there also a chance to channels starr televising more Football from other leagues or countries to compensate, raising interest in more local clubs?

{Ed001's Note - those downsides you mention are very possible. I know I would not want to just be limited to watching one team, as I watch hundreds of games a season. Putting it on a subscription basis really does limit future audiences in return for a short term gain. I am not sure it is the right way to go personally. I would think it would be better for clubs to work together to produce packages that allow access to more than just one particular club's matches.}

2.) 12 Jun 2017 09:22:28
Givr sky and bt all the games they get and then allow the clubs to sell viewing for there 3 oclock games at 15 quid a game. Also thr cuo ganes that aren't showing.

That way we can all watch a lot of football, don't really wanna lose super sundays or mnf or watch othrr teams but would like to watch all of liverpools games.

3.) 12 Jun 2017 09:28:27
Fiver a game . 15 fffs .

{Ed025's Note - supermane forgot to tell you that he is actually rupert murdoch,s love child echo.. :)

4.) 12 Jun 2017 10:25:34
15 a game? Geez I watch all liverpools games so that's a big hit to the main supporter base a year, not to mention the costs of watching any other big matches from other sides. think it should be more like 1/ 3 of that as Echo says.

{Ed001's Note - why not a fiver a month to sign up and watch all games recorded, rather than live? I mean every game, so you can't watch it at 3pm but say from 6pm or 7 or whatever time they agree on. Maybe more than a fiver, but a monthly fee of some kind just for all the Premier League games would be a lot better than just getting the stream of one team only.}

5.) 12 Jun 2017 10:54:15
I think Liverpool have already looked into it somewhat haven't they?
I seem to remember Ed002 saying as much, and that we have a guy who's a bit of an expert in that field.

{Ed001's Note - yep, all clubs are looking into it.}

6.) 12 Jun 2017 10:46:42
With the fast amount of fans that all support different clubs . The fiver on top of the subscription is the least I'd pay . I might bring the idea to dragons den lol . Vouch for me on the copyright.

7.) 12 Jun 2017 11:27:18
Streaming your own team works well in the nfl and I would pay for that as getting tickets is difficult and I don't drive .

8.) 12 Jun 2017 12:58:26
Has to be about 15/ 20 so people still go the game.

Thats why there's a ban on live 3oclock games being broadcast.

If the tickets to watch it at home are 5 quid a month but 45 at the ground what are you going to do.

Its about what germany charge aswel. 18 i think it is to watch at home and about 25 at the ground.

The only way it would work is if the anfield tickets camr right down so it was aboht a tenner difference live or at home.

Ed the live games are already on the same evening on lfc chanel recorded like you said. Either same evening or next morning. Its £7.99 a month for lfctv.

{Ed025's Note - the thing is supermane is that you can go to the local boozer and get 6 pints and watch the game for free , it has to be affordable mate and £15-20 puts it out of reach for some..

9.) 12 Jun 2017 13:56:51
But its never going to be about giving what the fans want. It will still be a luxury.

Its the fast food sort of thing. You can et a dominose for like 18.99 and the same pizza in asda for 99 p minus the stuffed crust haha.

Can you be assed cooking though. So if its pissing down and you wsnt to trek the pub so be it but if you esnt to relax in your own home with some bevvies and your mates then 15 quid isn't so bad.

For the die hards who watch every game, well they'll save money aswel becsude they go the match and spend about a grand a year

5 quid a month would just stop people going the game.

You wouldn't buy all the games abyway. Only probably the bigguns. Or it could br a popular basis. Yano the bigger the opponent.

Liverpool vs united 15.99
Liverpool vs westbrom 7.99
Liverpool vs huddersfield 4.99
Liverpool vs everton 0.50p haha

Be the same as sky box office. And there's no complaints about paying 20 quid then. It just seems because its the working mans game it has to be made accesible for buttons. I would happily cancel all subscriptions and spread the 45 i currently pay on 3 liverpool games a month and give the money to the club rather than sky.

{Ed001's Note - lots of people complain about box office prices.}

10.) 12 Jun 2017 15:27:33
Still people pay it. Supply and demand.

Premier league football isn't poundland is all im saying. How cheap do you want it if 15 quid a game is to much? It hasn't bren the workings mans game for about 30 years.

Theres onl6 so many who go every hame or watch every game with work and such. So 2 games a montb and MOTD for the others would be 30 quid. that's soundo.

11.) 12 Jun 2017 16:16:56
Agree Ed - I actually use LFC TV as well - very good service, but still pay on top for the TV coverage (am in singapore at the moment and they have all the games - good value for the extent of the coverage actually)

Point is I'd happily pay 20 a month for the games to LFC, but would be good to able to pay a 5'er a game for others if you want to watch another match. Or alternatively if clubs agreed to share highlights of each other's matches as a pool deal perhaps for another 10 a month, plus an additional free 1-2 games from the league for that and then a 5er on top for every match after. It would be painful to miss some of the other great games around.

12.) 12 Jun 2017 16:26:11
It's a strange World. I live 4,600 miles away from Liverpool. And yet I have seen all Liverpool matches on TV, free of cost, the past 10 years or so (aside from the 8 pounds per month that I pay for cable service and get around 1,000 channels - skysports included) . I understand supply and demand very well. But it still defies logic that people living in and around Liverpool (or even the UK) have so many constraints, and yet those living miles and miles away have it so much easier.

13.) 12 Jun 2017 18:36:34
I agree ra, if I was sitting with my feet up in California I'd be able watch whatever games I wanted to, yet here in Liverpool you only get to watch a few. I guess they don't wanna turn people off going the game. Could they balance it all out though. Say £20 to go the game or £5 to watch at home. With the amount of home subscribers that would surely cover lost gate income. £15-20 at the ground would still see it full every week I'm sure.

{Ed001's Note - it is more the effect it has on other teams playing in the lower leagues, which rely on fans who can't go to their Prem team that week.}

14.) 12 Jun 2017 18:41:22
Agree ra - singapore isn't cheap but it's a lot better coverage, and a lot better value for money than the UK!

09 Jun 2017 19:45:57
Ed is there more fallout on the crap from the tapping up to come? As u have painted a. Pretty grim picture!? And by sounds of im sure if you're in the know to the shady side of things, then the powers that be are . Its a rough time for the fans and the club . This window been the most important imo, is now becoming the worst in history . Not sure how accurate this is, but a guy I know (Liverpool fan ) suggested to me that things are going to hit the fan because of the conduct of Liverpool . Hope I'm wrong.

Echo lies

{Ed002's Note - The Premier League are still awaiting Liverpool's explanation of events after they initially lied and denied it. They may decide to issue a warning or they may decide to investigate to establh what roles all of the parties, including any player representatives, had in the matter. That could result in a charge. Given the club have just been caught having lied to another FA investigation they need to come clean and trhey need to smarten up.}

29 May 2017 09:35:12
So the Liverpool propaganda machine is in full swing again . Press release after press release . And alit of fans fall for it . The "we tried " to sign this guy and that guy . I've never known any other club to peddle stuff to the media like Liverpool . We won't be getting Keita or vvd . And I'll hold my breath on the war chest that's available. Same soup reheated like every year . I don't mind who we sign as such as they will be good players . As we saw wit mane, but the endless drivel leaked onto media outlets and twitter pipe blowers is rediculous.

Echo lies

1.) 29 May 2017 10:20:35
As far as I can see city are the only club to have signed anyone and havnt seen any media saying we tried to sign him, or their impending goalkeeper, so what ya on about? Chill what will be will be😁.

2.) 29 May 2017 12:44:11
I don't think he's referring to that fact that we haven't signed anyone, he's referring to the fact that twitter and media outlets are banging the drum on just about every single player for Liverpool.

3.) 29 May 2017 12:46:57
To be fair I think it's more a case of journo's making up loads of rumours to sell their paper/ get clicks rather than Liverpool leaking info to the press. Over the past few years Liverpool have gotten better at keeping quiet about this stuff, there was a time a few years back where every player we bid for you'd know about it like a week in advance and it was ruining deals.

{Ed002's Note - You will find that "journos" (it is a simple plural, you don't need the apostophe) will not be making up stories but will use often questionable blogs and the like (e.g. Italian and Spanish web sites are prime) as the basis of what they write. The trouble is that football fans are like lemmings when the see "Liverpool on Red Alert for ..." and then within 20 minutes it becomes "... has agreed to join Liverpool this summer".}

4.) 29 May 2017 14:13:28
Couldn't careless, it's a team game, there are plenty of decent players out there. Names mean nothing to me.

5.) 30 May 2017 15:48:01
I don't care what the journo's say cos they are often wrong and put stuff in there to get the fans like the OP, riled up for no reason. I personally wouldn't sign both Keita and VVD cos to me, one is not worth it even tho he's a very good player (Keita) and the other is a very talented version of Skrtel as in, great on the ball with great ability but lacks concentration, always out of position, lacks tactical awareness and goes walk-about during games. I would not sign such a defender at all and if so, never for 50m. We may not be signing either Keita nor VVD as the Ed's have said on here so I suggest that the OP take a chill pill or it will be a very long summer for him/ her.

Keita is the most dynamic midfield player in Europe . He's a dual cm . Can do the Kante stuff but he's equally as good in the offensive end . He's a huge talent . Would suit us perfectly . The intensive side of the game . Goals assists and breaking things up . The most no brainer target I've ever known .
