Is their any chance one of the Eds or Macca or anybody else could give us any transfer news to try and take our minds off last nite? Please any news will do.

Dub Jim

{Ed002's Note - Macca has already listed the players who will be joining for you.}

1.) 27 May 2018 12:29:11
Hi Jim

List macca gave is below but didn’t say they will be joining, was just a list of who he says we are interested in and how it would be great if they all come off. Obviously things can change at anytime

May 2018 22:51:34
Here goes.

How many will i get right.

Tarkowski
Fekir
Dembele
Butland
Cabellos (courtesy of the Eds. )

Great if they all come off.

Cheers

Macca.

2.) 27 May 2018 12:42:31
Of that list, Fekir is the only one I’d want as the rest aren’t of the sufficient quality to make a difference for various reasons.

3.) 27 May 2018 12:43:27
Thanks Al
Be nice if we could wrap one or two deals up very soon.

4.) 27 May 2018 12:47:07
Don’t understand the tension between Ed002 and Macca. Both provide valuable insight and opinion. Can’t we all just get along?!?! Ha
Hopefully the Butland and Tarkowski links are false. Much rather Allison and a quality CB. Fekir and Dembele are top notch so we should be aiming for this quality in the GK and CB area also.

5.) 27 May 2018 13:10:59
It’s not the Ed’s and Macca., it’s the morons who try to play them off against each other.

6.) 27 May 2018 13:12:38
Don't know about tension but when Macca posts everybody claims that this player is no good or the player isn't up to our standard and then leaves it like that and then leave the mess for the eds to sort out. I do appreciate when Macca and the eds gives us any information after all this is a rumours site.

7.) 27 May 2018 13:14:06
At this moment I’d take all of them. If those are the players who Klopp wants then they are welcome.

There are negative posts, reviews and thoughts on here about Ox, Robbo and Salah. All three improved at a level that none of us expected so we are all feeling it today but if that lot joined tomorrow I’d be happy to see where Klopp goes with it.

8.) 27 May 2018 13:16:39
I'd just take Fekir of that list. Don't need him and Dembele. The other ones not convinced, maybe Ceballos.

9.) 27 May 2018 13:49:20
Ceballos has no interest in coming to England and wants to go back to Betis, fee being talked about is £14m yet Madrid will ask us for upwards of £35-40m for a bloke who has splinters in his arse. Butland makes fat too many mistakes and is not an answer. Tarkowski is a donkey at best and a Man United supporting one at that, if his lack of tangible ability wasn’t enough. Dembele has literally done nothing in his career to warrant a £100m fee and his hamstring appears to made out of crisps.

10.) 27 May 2018 20:27:25
Ed002 why do you keep posting "the players who will be joining" when macca didn't post that, we have all seen the post and makes you sound a little pathetic, seems you have the problem with macca yet the eds moan we are the ones playing the eds and macca off each other?

{Ed002's Note - I have not seen his post and if you think I am pathetic it would be best if you stopped reading the site altogether. I have nothing against Macca and get nothing but abuse from the halfwits like you everytime he posts something. If Macca did not say they were the players joining it is a change of tact from him as generally that is what he has done. If you want Macca's posts deleted I can arrange that. Quite frankly I don't know why he bothers sharing anything with you at all either.}

11.) 27 May 2018 23:46:29
I have read this site a lot over the past few years, and ed2 has consistently been providing the benefit of his knowledge and judgement. It doesn’t always turn out that what is predicted happens, but the fella ( along with macca) are a lot closer than most on here. Yet, they are both constantly questioned and harangued rather than just appreciate that they give us what they know and say thanks. It’s not always going to be correct, things change, players and clubs make other decisions and it’s nout like football Manager, but it’s always interesting. The site is poorer for ed02s easing back, but I understand why he’s done it. I wouldn’t stand for the ingratitude and stick that seemingly comes from being straight with folks on this page. Eds, keep er lit.
Now, for a a rumour. I heard ken ageruo is in town. ;-) .

12.) 28 May 2018 00:52:21
Perhaps with Maccas info you need to RTFP before commenting, Ed? 😃.

{Ed002's Note - I don't look at the website at all - but perhaps people should not quote all of the "done deals" they think he tells them about.}

13.) 28 May 2018 08:54:37
Tarkowski would be a replacement for Matip (injuries) or Klavan (quality) . Maybe both if Gomez is moved from right back to centre back.
Fekir would be a replacement for Coutinho. In the short term he replaces Ox (injured) and long term he replaces Lallana (injuries and quality) .
Dembele would be a replacement for Sturridge (injuries), Origi (quality) and Ings (injuries and quality) . Offering actual competition up front.
Butland would be a replacement for Mignolet (quality) and direct competition for Karius starting games.
Cabellos would be a replacement for Can and keep Grujic (quality) out on loan for another year to gain experience.

Fekir and Dembele add first team quality straight away, like Mane, Salah and Van Dijk did. Keita will do this also.
Tarkowski, Butland and Cabellos look likely to become the same signings as Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Wijnaldum. At first they'll be considered squad depth until they prove their value and work their way into the team.

I personally don't think we're going to sign a centre back or a holding midfielder unless we can get real quality in those positions (Like Alderweireld and Jorginho) . I also am not convinced on Butland and would prefer a goalkeeper like Alisson to compete with Karius.

I know it's not realistic, but let me dream.

Alisson
Keita
Fekir
Dembele.

14.) 28 May 2018 09:11:22
Tarkowski, Butland and Ceballos = Diuoff, Diao and Cheyrou. Not the players who will help bridge a 25 point gap with City or beat Real Madrid.

15.) 30 May 2018 01:16:40
Frankly Mr Shankly, a 25 point gap can not be bridged by Liverpool alone. The whole of the Premier League needs to not be bent over backwards by City like they were this season. Liverpool proved that if you can play a pressing game that you can dominate and win the game. Man United proved that even after defending deep, you can counter and go at them to win from behind. Wigan proved that even as a small team you can get a goal and hold on to that lead against them to win. These matches should be what most clubs look at and use to not let City get to 100 points again, probably stop them from getting over 80. We would then need to only improve by five points or so and that just means getting more points against the top six, which we struggled to do last season.

19 Mar 2018 15:33:50
Question for one of the Eds please? Do you think liverpool will buy a centre back in the summer? Thanks in advance.

Dub Jim

{Ed001's Note - it is not expected to happen, there are other priorities.}

1.) 19 Mar 2018 17:44:21
CB isn't priority Ed 001?. That's shocking.

{Ed001's Note - not right now, Gomez is to be developed.}

2.) 19 Mar 2018 18:24:08
Assuming we're looking at RBs then? Have my fingers crossed that Matip leaves in the summer! Really not keen on him.

A good right back would be great and could give Gomez support if we bring in someone with experience. also the only area where I can't think of a single player who we've been linked with! Can't even think of many good options myself.

Eds, Any names of RBs we've looked at?

{Ed001's Note - yes right back, we have looked at hundreds mate, bit soon to get certain names of the likely targets. We have looked at Hysaj, but I would expect him to be out of reach now with Napoli not wanting to sell. The Sociedad right back Odriozola, though he is a bit too attacking for my liking, as he also play midfield. There are a few in Germany, Heinrichs, Elvedi and Weiser and the Leipzig one, whose name I have forgotten. Lots more too though how many of them will even be in the thinking when it comes time to try and buy one I don't know right now. Oh Bilbao's right back.}

3.) 19 Mar 2018 18:42:54
Cheers a lot Ed. Sorry couldn't recall any names being mentioned previously. Don't know of many RBs really so I'm not even sure of who to get excited about! Would be nice to have someone who is more defensive than offensive though I think.

Thanks again!

{Ed001's Note - I haven't seen much of any of them meself either to be honest.}

4.) 19 Mar 2018 23:15:24
That's good news Ed, I'm worried that a new CB would pretty much end Gomez's future with the club.

5.) 19 Mar 2018 20:00:32
Ed what happened to the nice rb, think he was on loan pereira was it?

{Ed001's Note - no idea sorry.}

6.) 19 Mar 2018 21:15:36
Do you expect a cb to leave for Gomez to develop in that role or will he continue at rb to get games. I seen ed 333 mentioned taa being developed into midfield which I would be made up with as he has every attribute to be a major success in the middle.

{Ed001's Note - it was me that said that about TAA. Gomez will continue to get games at right back and cup games in the centre, and cover for injuries. I expect Klavan to be phased out, possibly even sold.}

7.) 19 Mar 2018 21:22:06
Ed1 hope you're right about Joe.

{Ed001's Note - it has always been the plan. It is up to him to make it work though.}

8.) 19 Mar 2018 22:51:57
Tell ya what Ed mate you no your stuff lol. Can you share with us what CM's we are looking at please? Or will that cause you loads of questions and work?

{Ed001's Note - other than the ones that have already been mentioned you mean? Because they have been discussed already, options such as Ceballos have had numerous threads about them.}

9.) 20 Mar 2018 07:08:07
Yeah I no mate, we've been linked to loads of CM's on here its just knowing which ones are true or not. It doesn't seem like we are looking at a proper DM to me as wouldn't be Klopps style. Ceballos seems to be the one but then Draxler has also been mentioned by Ed02, I guess he isn't a CM option more of a AM option? Owe I don't no mate lol think I need to go back to bed.

10.) 20 Mar 2018 19:12:02
So ed001 is a player to cover/ give competition for wide and creative midfield not expected this summer? Or would you say the Ox has effectively filled that role? I know it's not good to describe it as a coutinho replacement, but I also wouldn't describe it as a cm so just clarifying.
Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - the Ox and Lallana can both cover there, there is Origi, Solanke and Ings as well plus youth players such as Wilson, who have all got the ability to provide cover. Ok some of those will go, but that does not exactly leave us scrabbling around desperately for cover.}

06 Jan 2018 18:07:15
Quick question for the Eds, Has well as using the Coutinho fee to buy a replacement is their any chance we might try sign young Sessegnon from fulham (even if we loan him back) . He could prove as shrewd an investment has Coutinho was. Thanks in advance and for all the hard work you do.

Dub Jim

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of any likelihood of us moving for him as I believe Spurs are intent on him as replacing Rose and they will be happy with a loan back deal.}

1.) 06 Jan 2018 18:20:25
Thanks for the reply, that's a shame I love the thought of having him on one side and TAA on the other weather it be full backs, wing backs or maybe even wingers in the future. It would have been nice.

Congratulations on the demotion Sir Kenny Dalglish. that's better news than Fekir signing in my eyes, although I hope he still signs.

Dub Jim

1.) 08 Jun 2018 22:45:32
And we all might get a laugh at David Beckham tomorrow if the rumours are true.

13 May 2018 17:47:13
What an amazing season its been, regardless of the result in two weeks time it feels like were building something really special so roll on next season and I can't wait to see who we sign. Just wanna say a big thank you to all the EDs for their hard work over the season.

Dub Jim

{Ed025's Note - your very welcome jim..

1.) 13 May 2018 18:19:32
Ed025 best Everton supporter EVER!

{Ed025's Note - thanks barry, but i fear that im turning into a liverpool supporter mate...nah that wont happen will it?.. :)

2.) 13 May 2018 18:33:13
Agree with that dub Jim, we’ve qualified for the champs league again and so hopefully we will the players we want to keep, be able to attract the types of players we need and we can go into the final without the added pressure that we have to win it to qualify. Win or lose in 2 weeks the club is on a strong footing to move forward and the final is a free hit at a trophy. Fingers crossed for a couple of weeks of good training, no injuries and a safe and enjoyable trip for all those lucky enough to be there. What a great way to end a season and what a great feeling for the players to know they’ll get to experience a champions league final, the rest is up to them.

3.) 13 May 2018 18:38:20
Ed25 don't worry we won't judge you if you do just shows you have finally seen the light ;)

{Ed025's Note - that can never happen alonso, but i am in awe of how the team play mate i have to be honest..

4.) 13 May 2018 19:11:03
Ed025 good to see an opposing fan appreciate the football we are playing. i take my hat off to you. now can u lend them un non rose tinted glasses to the United fans please.

{Ed025's Note - most of them are decent guys you know bigsqueeze, there will always be knob heads at all clubs but i know a lot of them respect your teams style of play, i will be rooting for you in the final and im sure a lot of non liverpool supporters will be too, dont get me wrong i wont be wearing anything red or singing any songs but i will certainly be cheering when you score and when you lift that trophy, a lot of my friends and 2 sons are reds and im sure if roles were reversed they would do the same mate...chance being a fine thing..

5.) 13 May 2018 20:18:31
Top man, Ed25. I have always admired your candor and honesty esp. as a blue. I hope The Scam gets the boot cos you guys deserve much better than that scam-artist.

{Ed025's Note - i think so too mate..

6.) 13 May 2018 22:27:23
Honestly ed25 if your shower was in the auto windscreen final id hope you got leathered. Sorry mate.

{Ed025's Note - thats fine ben and im sure your not alone mate..

7.) 14 May 2018 09:23:34
Ed025 👌👌👌👌👌👌.

11 Apr 2018 14:20:37
Question for one of the Eds please?
We got a few yellow cards last nite and im just wondering if any of our players are close to getting suspended? Thanks in advance.

Dub Jim

{Ed001's Note - I believe the slates are wiped clean.}

1.) 11 Apr 2018 15:24:24
They are cleaned.

20 Mar 2018 12:28:43
Question for Ed001
Do you expect Milner and Lallana to be sold in the summer? Thanks in advance.

Dub Jim

{Ed001's Note - both? No. One is very likely to go.}

1.) 20 Mar 2018 12:35:25
I'd guess that's milner ed01? Would I guess right or has it not been determined which yet?

{Ed001's Note - could be either. Both are not really looking to stay, Milner because he wants to play regularly and realises he might have to step down to get regular football. Lallana has never wanted a long term stay and has constantly said about not retiring with us etc and Klopp wants committed players.}

2.) 20 Mar 2018 13:18:27
That's sad to hear about lallana. I have admired him for years and was really pleased when we signed him. I have been defending him here for the last few weeks too.

Thanks for your reply ed01 mate, I, as a fan, don't want any players here who don't want to be. I can understand milner, he has records to break regarding Pl appearances etc but lallana has a great opportunity of making our first team, does he prefer playing in midfield or in a more attacking role I wonder. Coz if its an attacking role he is going to find it hard to break into our front 3. That said, he is the perfect player to cover the wide men.

3.) 20 Mar 2018 13:49:21
I would say Lallana's days have been numbered since we signed Naby Keita. Lallana, like Henderson, has spent way too much time in his LFC career in the treatment room. Great technician but not robust or direct enough for Klopp's team.

The time was always going to come for Milner to move on to get first team football in his final throes. Model professional and did brilliantly at left back when called upon last season. I suppose the signing of Ox will backfill for him in the squad.

The position I worry about the most is Hendo's. His injury seems to be a real issue and we would be foolish going into next season with only an Emre replacement in that position.

4.) 20 Mar 2018 16:48:09
All should go imo. We need to get off from this emotional backlog! Milner and Lallana are bang average and should go. They are to be replaced by better players. c'mon people we are not a mid table club anymore! So bye bye midtable players!

5.) 20 Mar 2018 18:45:04
If I had to keep one, I'd take Milner over Lallana any day. Milner's a harder worker, he can cover more positions, and despite not being able to do Cruyff turns as beautifully as Lallana does, he's got a mean cross in him and creates more chances.

6.) 20 Mar 2018 18:46:22
I don't think Milner will be here next season cos with Naby and Ndidi or Jorginho maybe coming in, it will only reduce his chances that were already slim coming into this season. Lallana may leave as well if he refuses to be part of the midfield rotation which is fine with me.

7.) 21 Mar 2018 07:56:04
Lallana is bang average. Is that a joke? Km iI keep saying it but it doesn't seem to go in. Remember when he was last fit? He was one of our best players. Him, coutinio and mane were the stand out players last season. That was only 10 months ago. You are judging him on recent performances when klopp is just easing him back on, He is no where near match sharp. He plays well in the big games too and Is a brilliant tackler for a guy his size. I think your being a bit unfair about milner too. He has been one of the stand out players in our champions league campaign, he us a top player with Pl medals, he's been at the top of the game for 15 years. That's pretty incredible. The guy deserves respect. Call him a model professional then slate him, nah, he has sacrificed his game to play lb and tucked away some big penalties. I will always respect him for the way he has conducted himself at Liverpool. If he goes then thanks for your experience, it was key to our champions league campaign. Good luck.

I'd like to keep lallana. If you want to win trophies you need more than 11 good Players, you need a good squad, we should be keeping players with quality. Lallana no doubt has quality, if you can't see that then I really can't help you, go back and look at some of his clips and remember the magic he bought to Liverpool. Class Player, if he leaves I hope its outside the Premier league.

8.) 21 Mar 2018 11:51:25
I don't really get why Milner would want to drop down a level to get regular first team football. He is playing regularly enough for us. Sure he might play a proportionally higher number of available games at a smaller team but in terms of the actual number of games per season, it could be more or less the same. We have European games to offer as well as a greater chance of having a longer domestic cup run (albeit not this season lol) .

Added to that there is the prospect of winning things and taking part in truly memorable matches. Milner started the Porto game - why would he want to swap a night like that for a potential relegation battle? He has also retired at international level so it is not like he needs to start every game in order to get into the England squad.

I notice a lot of players at bigger clubs do this and often it seems like it's as broad as it's long due to the extended fixture lists they have.

17 Mar 2018 19:27:32
Like so much of Egypt's treasures Mo Salah was stolen and taken to England. What a player.

Dub Jim

1.) 17 Mar 2018 19:36:49
Slight Jealous👀. nearly 40 goals scored, from the wing and still 2 months of the season left, my word he is an astonishing player. Its the quality of the goals he's scored aswell, not just tap-ins, first goal today was reminiscent of Messi's vs Bayern.

2.) 17 Mar 2018 20:55:49
He’s outstanding Scholes, I hope the player of the season awards are not dominated by City players. 28 league goals and 9 assists thus far, I think he deserves it. The City players are all part of an outstanding team that get the best out of each other, Mo at times has simply just done it all on his own.

I do hope he perseveres with us for 2 more seasons, if we don’t deliver trophies for him by then he is entitled to look for a move.

3.) 17 Mar 2018 22:01:36
Think he just about deserves it over KDB, both been wonderful but Salah edges it.

4.) 17 Mar 2018 22:22:22
KDB has been playing in the PL for 3 seasons while this is Salah's first REAL season as a true starter in the PL and at this moment, he should win it cos he is accomplishing things that took veteran players like KDB, Kane and Aguero, several years to do and accomplish.

No TIA im suggesting that if were gona lose a 17 year old whos done nothing in senior football, then we try and use him to get something we do want and someone who does want to play for us. Granted its very unlikely but all im saying is could be worth a try!

Question for Ed002 please?
What can we has fans of you and the site do to get you to change your mind? The site just isn't the same without your input! But I do love the work all the Eds do (not a dig at them) Were richer as football fans for all the information you share and I really miss your knowledge but respect your decision.

Q for ED002?
Will the clubs involved be still making most of their money from the likes of sky and bt or will the majority of their money be made from selling tv or streaming packages directly to their own fans? Thanks in advance.

Great ED002 thanks
Could I just get your expert opinion on one final matter, If their was a backlash across Europe and the vast majority of fans boycotted it, would it make any difference? Thanks for all your work.

Dub Jim

{Ed002's Note - The fans welcome it Jim. A number of the clubs have spoken with their fan groups and, aside from one who have said they won't be joing the league, it has been well received.}

Thanks for the reply Ed
I didn't mean a feeder club taking their place in the league I just mean if they had a feeder club that feeder club would eventually end up in the premier league. And also would the previous rules not apply to them anymore if they broke away? Would they not be out on their own in regards to the FA or UEFA?

Dub Jim

{Ed002's Note - There would be no provision to do it - no one is looking to try and cheat the system.}
