There has been a lot said about Pep Ljinders book this season, that book was called "intensity". If someone had to write a book for this season, what do you all think it should be called? Extra points some chapter title suggestions also.

The book would be called;

Ladies, don't be disappointed, but we're going in flaccid.

2.) 23 May 2023 21:30:25
In tent city.

3.) 23 May 2023 21:33:47
Gone in 60 minutes.

Our title challenge first day of the season v Fulham.

My struggle? Maybe not.

I would call the book "Liverpool FC: 22/ 23 Premier League Season"

6.) 23 May 2023 22:53:55
50 shades of absolute Sh*te.

7.) 23 May 2023 22:55:58
Gap year.

8.) 23 May 2023 23:48:50
Title? How about this one. "But, We Almost Won the Quadruple"

9.) 24 May 2023 00:38:35
"Please, please look at me. "

10.) 24 May 2023 06:57:36
Borderline Inappropriate.

Best "fans" in the world.

I think most of these posts show where your heads are at, not necessarily LFC. That said…

Fair-weather Football, Fair-weather Fans.

Amazing how a bit of banter can offend posters on here. But I suppose it’s easy to be offended when you’re Always looking to be offended.

Not all of us are the best fans in the world as some are clearly better fans than others.

Next season when I’m in Anfield or in away ends I’ll aim to be a better fan.

15.) 24 May 2023 10:59:51
I think you're 100% right JK.

We are all just randomers here at the end of day having some fun and debate posting about our team.

Some people will have pessimistic view that comes with dark humour sometimes. Some will take positive viewpoints.

I'm in the positive camp right now as I really don't think the situation is as bad as some make out but debating is part of the crack.

And also I think some of the more negative posters are good fun sometimes with some funny stuff.

But agree that no one should be getting offended by what some randomers viewpoint is.

16.) 24 May 2023 11:21:40
Davey I agree. I made some sarcastic comments on what our season book title could be on a banter page.

But at the same time I’ve just spent a considerable amount of money (that the wife isn’t happy with) to renew mine and my sons ticket franchise membership which gets us plenty of Anfield tickets next season at a further cost.

If that makes me not as good a fan than others then so be it.

17.) 24 May 2023 11:40:25
Your joke was the funniest one for me JK and you are a very balanced poster. You re one of the good ones in my book.

As is FlashTheRed who I think is just looking to gee up some appetite for more positive supportive type posts.

Probably picked the wrong post as this was a good one from the OP to create some funny responses.

Sorry sent by accident. And made a difference was that Trent kept tucking inside and it was Salah who was creating the width, for me this was not right. Trent should of been the one stretching the chelsa team and creating the width, with Salah spending more time in the 18 yard corner and in the box, with elliott overlapping and supporting in the 30 yard and outside area. It seemed like we were a bit risk averse overall and didn't really commit enough men inot the box at once, Salah and mane were too often wide and picking the ball up putsode the box, i think the full back should of bee holding the width and the midfielders plus Virgil and matip having the ball from 40 yards to the edge of the edge of the box more often allowing jota mane and Salah to focus on movement for crosses and trying to create gals to feed the ball into around the chslea area when we were in central areas more often. Overall not the end of the world but just an annoying game.

Yeah I felt the same about Trent being in that quarter back position. Maybe he was given orders to be there as Chelsea are quite a hard team to stretch with three centre backs and two wing backs.

2.) 29 Aug 2021 18:03:15
Yeah I do think it's a tactical choice as he was in that inside right area for Burnley and even got his assist against Burnley there. I don't mind it but just felt in the circumstances we needed Salah closer to the goal and trent and elliott working together to work it into salah inside the box more.

3.) 30 Aug 2021 00:30:55
Trent varies this position throughout a game. It's not as if he is tucked in all game.

On Yesterdays game, it was obviously incredibly frustrating and the quality of our set pieces and a lot of crosses let us down at times which is one of the reasons we couldn't break down Chelsea, on another day we show our quality and get the ball right, which is one reason why i don't think signing another player would make too much difference and if we wanted a plan B of someone just winning headersthen at that point you may as well bring Gomez or konate on and let Virgil play up top.

Tactically, one thing that frustrated the most and made a.

One the subject of firmino's understudy, and the false 9 role in our team. We have minamino who will play there, origi who can be put through the middle, although plays the role entirley different and I imagine brewster also, who seems more of an out and out 9 and goal poacher from what I've seen.

I was thinking that perhaps Curtis Jones could play bobby/ false 9 role. He is physically similar with regards to his height, infact a bit taller I think at 6 foot. Has a very good first touch, few balls were fizzed into him yesterday and they stuck to his feet, seems comfortable on his left, likes to bounce pass and play one twos but most importantly it looked to me like be understood his role in the team very well, and perhaps could adapt to what is a complicated and key position, on the odd occasion if required.

OP, Bobbie is the best on the planet in the way he plays that CF position in our system. His intelligence, footwork, movement, tactical awareness, pressing ability and feel for the game is uncannot and perfect for that position.

Whether Jones can play that position is hard to tell right now cos he is only starting to get games in the real position he is playing at which is an AM or no. 8 in our midfield. I propose we allow him to mature and grow first in this position before we start thinking about what other position he can play. Just my take.

I'm pretty sure klopp said in an interview only the past month something like "I am 100% responsible for this rubbish" and has spoken multiple times on how the counter press had gone this season and the back end of last, so to say he hasn't is just wilful ignorance to make a mountain out of a molehill for the sake of negativity. He is simply saying that there will still be some cracking games to look forward to in Europe (such as Dormund in his first season) even though it's not ideal and as many have said trying to instill some positivity around the club.

As far as other fans opinion on Klopps "whining" it's the same deflection tactics most managers use for the most part. It's a bit paradoxical to come on a, site and whine, and in that whining criticise someone's whining. It's like whineception or something.

To be fair on Nunez people say he lacks footballing intelligence but the way he completely missed the ball on the cross from salah and pass from Trent which laid a goal on a plate for most striker was some real outside of the box thinking. If he doesn't even touch the ball then it can't count as a missed shot, very clever.

No, Bobby was injured for most of the season and the main from line was Mane, Jota, Salah when he was scoring all his goals. His drop in form seems to have happened upon his return from Afcon. probably mentally exhausted more then anything especially with getting knocked out the world cup as well.

@johnzandt I think Porto away and there have been games in the cups where he has been playing in a mix and match team with other youngsters and looked steady and controlled, but I agree I think the issue currently is he is playing a bit too passively compared to when he first came into the team.

another thing to remember is the need for hometown players but also club trained players in Europe and Jones and shown enough at the age of 21 that he can be at the minimum a steady member of the squad (plays multiple positions too) and if he progresses a very big asset for the team.
