Getting a bit choked up listening to the crowd sing Jotas song. Respect to everyone in attendance. Preston fans as well who joined in.

Dirty, it got me also.
Seemed it got to the players too.
They need to grieve with the fans and vice Versa.
Morbidly, it was beautiful.
Every game this season, Do it for Diogo.

Not Liverpool related but made up for Palace today. Congratulations.

Wonderful. Very happy for them they deserved it. 115 don't deserve to win any more trophies.

Guardiola never won a trophy in his first season at the Etihad, and hasn't won one this season in hopefully his last season at the club, all football empires come to an end eventually, ours is just beginning again.

Who would have thought the next Charity Shield would be contested by Two Birds! The Liver Bird and an Eagle.

You got to be happy for CP and their fans. Richly deserved.

I was born in 91, first time in my life seeing scenes like yesterday at Anfield. I'm not a Liverpool local but man that was emotional, I can't imagine how all you scousers must be feeling (well the hangovers I can imagine) . So glad we did it in style too. It was really a day to cherish.

Yesterday was as special as it gets, DM2EB. Grown men crying around me. The atmosphere was simply electric and nothing can top it. We are blessed to support the best club in the world, in my biased opinion. I will cherish the day for the rest of my life. Lucky and privileged to be there.

I didn't cry (at least not on the outside) BUT I just drank in ALL the emotion from the celebrations from everyone in that stadium and on the outside, as well. Absolute crazy stuff.

Ed 1 I think I remember you mentioning in passing last year that you hoped our injuries would improve once the medical team switched (I speak under correction, if it was someone else) . The injuries have been much better this year, do you think this is down to a change in medical staff; different game management by Slott; different training style or more likely a combination and a bit of luck?

DirtyMic2ElectricBoogaloo

{Ed001's Note - mostly down to Slot's training methods. He has them doing yoga before training every day, which is one of the best ways to avoid picking up injuries. His teams are well known for having fewer injuries than usual.}

I don't think it's a coincidence when the same managers like Klopp and Postecoglou are repeatedly plagued by injuries. There were also a few relapses last year like with TAA, Szoboszlai and Salah because Klopp was rushing them back from injury. I think he even admitted in an interview that the medical staff were begging him not to play Jota as he wasn't ready yet but Klopp played him anyway.

Lots of NFL players do yoga, as well and they have said it is very useful esp. in such a physical sport.

Do you think changing our style of play help a bit Ed? A bit more control now. We seems happy to sit back at times instead of full on pressuring opponents all the time.

{Ed001's Note - possibly a small difference as well. Probably even.}

Gordon feels like a downgrade on Diaz to me.
I don't think Diaz goes unless we have an excellent replacement lined up. He was a huge part of the team last year and finished it as our starting CF, added to that he covers both wings. I feel like the versatile attacker everyone craves is already at the club but the grass is always greener I guess.

I see the term thrown about far too much ed. I'm all for supporting players and my red tinted glasses are welded on but legend should be reserved for the truly special in my opinion.

DirtyMic2ElectricBoogaloo

{Ed025's Note - absolutely mate..

The 'won every trophy' argument doesn't hold weight for me. By that logic every single player who played relatively regularly over that period should be considered a legend.

DirtyMic2ElectricBoogaloo

{Ed025's Note - it seems these days if you have 2 good games on the trot you are "world class" or a "Legend" Mic, and to be honest Liverpool fans are the biggest culprits mate..

I had a work trip shortly after my father passed, which my bosses were incredulous I wanted to postpone. In any case I remember nothing from that week long trip. I got through all the trainings, meetings etc I had to, but remember absolutely nothing. I was just getting through every minute of every day, if the players struggle I won't begrudge them anything, they are human and just lost a friend. Considering how hard this has hit us as fans, they must be devastated.
This has really set in for me the last few days and I don't have the words to fully express myself. I think this coming season is about showing what, you'll never walk alone means.

Game seems a little generous 77 that was a beating against Auckland.

I like Jones and I think he is worth keeping around as a rotation option, homegrown, covers multiple positions and is a pretty decent player. I don't think he will ever become a nailed on starter for us so we might see him move on for game time eventually.
