Big shout out to Marcus Rashford. The government has U-turned regarding food vouchers for kids over the summer.

Can't complain about the draw. In Group E with Spartak Moscow, Sevilla, and Maribor.

Given that Liverpool have publicly stated that Coutinho is going nowhere in this window, and RBL have said the same about their man with no name, what are the chances of both deals going through in the January window?
The same moght apply to VVD.
The players get their moves, and the management teams don’t lose face.
Just a thought.

I think there is no need to keep a player who doesn't want to be here.

Having seen the Premier League fixtures today, I decided to take a look at the Europa League dates, and discovered that Liverpool and Spurs are both among the 16 teams already through to the Group stage.
I thought finishing 6th put us into a qualifying spot.
Anyway, first Group game is on 17th Sept.

Only if Villa had beaten Arsenal in FA Cup final.

2.) 17 Jun 2015 14:16:01
Arsenal winning the FA cup but already being in the champions league meant we went straight into the groups.

Thanks chaps.

I don't enjoy listening to football pundits. I find commentators to be really annoying. In my view they spoil the occasion. I would much prefer to watch a match with just the crowd noise. No commentator. No pundit. No idiotic and pointless statistics. We aren't we allowed to just watch the game?

If it is a choice between Karius and Ward as to who goes out on loan, I think it should be Karius.
They are the same age, born on the same day, and Ward has been out on loan, has represented his country, and done extremely well in pressure situations like the play off final. Surely it is Karius that is in need of regular games?
For me, Ward is ready to challenge Mignolet.

B26.
Chirivella is now out on loan with Willem II, but still a valid point. We have options in midfield.

Surely it should be a loan deal instead of a sale for Wilson. The lad has talent.

We needed a scotsman in the squad - Liverpool have never won the league title without one.

It will be the 19th top flight league championship. End of.
But, just a thought regarding the Walk of Champions. At the moment there is a silhouette of the 1st Division trophy with a big 18 emblazoned on it. What happens when we win the Premier League trophy? Do we just change the 18 to 19, or do we add a new silhouette, or make a sort of combined silhouette of both trophies with 19 on it?
I guess we'll find out soon enough, but what are everybody's thoughts?

SG8greatest.
Regarding qualification from the groups when teams finish on equal points:
Article 17.01 states the the first thing to be considered is the points gained between the teams in question. If Spartak win at Anfield, they'll have scored 4 points from the two games between us while Liverpool will have earned just one point. On that basis, Liverpool would be back to playing on Thursday nights in the Europa League.
Liverpool need to avoid defeat to get into the last 16.

Look back at his performance in the '65 FA Cup win, and consider he scored a goal in a European Cup final.
Tommy Smith's image as a hard man has detracted from his reputation as a very good footballer.
The man is a legend.

Great idea. I'd like to see what caused the deletion. Might help to moderate by example of what is not acceptable.
Second thoughts, it might also become more popular than the acceptable posts!

There's a story about Tommy Smith giving Jimmy Greaves a slip of paper as they ran onto the pitch at Anfield.
The slip of paper (allegedly) was the day's menu at the Liverpool infirmary.
Apocryphal perhaps, but Smith was a very good player as well as a hard man and he would walk into our team today.

{Ed025's Note - i remember him as a strawberry nosed yard dog who kicked the player more than the ball...a real knuckle dragger as ED002 would say DJP..
