Bobby Clarke gone to RBL. Thought he looked quite promising.
1.) 14 Aug 2024 20:03:47
I thought he looked neat and tidy without ever looking outstanding. I'm fine with selling him so long as there is some sort of buy back option involved.
2.) 14 Aug 2024 20:16:41
Salzburg, not Leipzig.
3.) 14 Aug 2024 20:17:18
17.5 sell on and first option.
4.) 14 Aug 2024 20:23:26
Bigh, I think you are getting your Leipzigs and your Salzburgs mixed up. Apart from that, great post!
5.) 14 Aug 2024 20:31:15
I really liked him but as Thunderbird says he lacked an outstanding qualities and was a bit of a jack of all trades. Not as tricky as Elliott, not as graceful as Nyoni and not as tenacious as Bajcetic. Good deal for all parties I think.
6.) 14 Aug 2024 20:32:46
Yes there is. But we aren’t buying anyone back. Next up Taylor Morton.
7.) 14 Aug 2024 20:37:09
Agreed, decent player but not ready for Liverpool atm., wouldn’t have got the much needed game time.
8.) 14 Aug 2024 20:38:42
He definitely looked to have all the tools to be a good PL level. player. it's always SAS to see a young talent leave. UT we have negotiated a good fee, a decent sell on clause, and a first refusal clause, all of which combine to make it a very good deal really. I hope he succeeds and becomes a cracking player. All the best to him!
9.) 14 Aug 2024 20:39:53
Can I just ask one thing? Who has decided to sell him on, because isn't he still injured, so Slot wouldn't have seen him kick a ball for us before he's sold.
10.) 14 Aug 2024 20:47:20
He was a steady player, could imagine has the ability to earn a trade in a lesser Prem team. Good deal for player and the club, wish him all the best.
11.) 14 Aug 2024 20:51:12
Soon as I clicked rbl I realised the mistake so had to do another post. Ed's probably getting sick of me ?.
12.) 14 Aug 2024 21:04:25
I actually don't like this one. Thought he looked a real talent. Telling that it's pep who's bought him and knows him best. Would have prefered we loaned him to them to see what a full season would have made of him. feels like were really trying to make some striaght profit before we lose players for free next summer.
13.) 14 Aug 2024 21:37:06
Maybe he wanted to go for regular first team football?
14.) 14 Aug 2024 21:14:28
Good money for someone who was never really going to play for us. Not fussed. I’d say good business.
15.) 14 Aug 2024 21:31:04
I remember people being similarly annoyed when we sold Ibe, Hoever, Brewster. Turned out the club knew what they were doing. Sometimes it's best to sell while the name's still hot before they reveal themselves to be a Woodburn or an Ojo.
16.) 14 Aug 2024 21:32:23
RBS are in the Austrian league.
He isn’t joining RBL who are a relatively high flying bundesliga side.
I think this reflects where he’s at. And we apparently have a first option if he moves on which keeps the door ajar for him in case he really kicks on.
Not bad business (relatively speaking with everything else (not! ) going on at Liverpool)
17.) 14 Aug 2024 21:45:39
Good luck to him. Jumped a sinking ship.
(Joke btw) ?.
18.) 14 Aug 2024 21:46:56
Interesting narrative that because Pep is buying him for RBS he must be good.
Whereas until he left Liverpool, Pep was an incompetent idiot (to many on here) who was majorly at fault for all of our bad tactics.
Couldn’t make it up!
19.) 14 Aug 2024 22:04:14
Not sure spotting and knowing talent and setting up a team tactically are the same thing whatever the narrative was navy.
20.) 14 Aug 2024 22:10:11
Navy only one person mentioned about pep buying him, hardly a narrative mate
Agree with most, didn’t look anything special to me and if we have better youngsters let him go with refusal to buy back.
21.) 14 Aug 2024 22:41:26
Could be the most profitable window ever - yay! #Winning.
22.) 15 Aug 2024 06:42:39
Oli slating Peps tactics (because he’s a sheep) and Red will is mentioning Pep buying him aren’t really related.
23.) 15 Aug 2024 07:25:40
All the best to the lad. Talented player but realistically it was always going to be hard for him to get gametime here. Seems there’s quite a clearout of players who may not have a future here, something we have not been ruthless enough to do over the past few years.
24.) 15 Aug 2024 08:19:21
@Brummy, how many people do you need for a narrative? I would have thought it was one.
25.) 15 Aug 2024 09:44:51
Just a narrator, WDW, surely? Exits stage left followed by a bear ….
26.) 15 Aug 2024 11:15:13
Saw something about £50m coming in this summer with sales of players and (Solanke) sell on. If you add that to the £160m we didn’t spend on Caicedo and Lavia last season and the £50m we didn’t spend on Zubimendi we should now have £260m in the plastic bags in Hughes’s office.
31 Jul 2024 21:02:26
Summerville to West Ham will start the ball rolling.
We will get Bowen or Kudus and Salah will go to Saudi. Gordon will also come in. Heard it here first ?.
1.) 31 Jul 2024 21:29:10
Summerville is more to do with a West Ham player facing a very long ban for betting offences than anything to do with us.
2.) 31 Jul 2024 21:47:03
Summerville and Paqueta play completely different positions.
3.) 01 Aug 2024 00:12:48
Don’t let reality get in the way of baseless opinions and saying stuff for effect @TB2.

Bobby Clarke off to RB Salzburg. Sell on clause and first refusal.
12 Aug 2024 22:16:15
I'm not one to panic but it is a little concerning that Fabinhos legs went a while back, endo was clearly a stop gap with the interest in Zubimendi and there is no shortlist? The list should be 2-3 years long.
As for cb's Matip has gone, Gomez and Sepp are clearly available for sale and no CB's coming in to push competition.
Don't start me on how 3 of the our better players have been allowed to start the season into the last year of their contracts.
27 Jul 2024 15:46:54
Makes me wonder the age of most people on this site that I've been a long time follower and it's always the same year in, year out with the endless names of people panicking about who we need to sign and it's the end of the world if we don't. The latest trend is about a CDM. We were fantastic at times under Klopp with 3 hard working CM's and pressing as a team. Have who you want but it's about getting the tactics right.
1.) 27 Jul 2024 16:30:13
Totally agree, other clubs can sign as many players as they want, I would rather we did the due diligence and sign the player we need with the right attitude. Must be a difficult time at the moment evaluating the squad and working out what we need with lots of players away. Keep calm and carry on.
2.) 27 Jul 2024 16:30:31
Average age 48, average mentality age is 13, 97 percent of us are certified insane, 98 percent of us have Alzheimer's and can't remember what Ed002 said yesterday. 50 percent are ready to jump off a cliff with depression. The other 50 percent are chasing rainbows and loving life no matter what happens.
It's a good group but let's agree to never meet up en masse. The world couldn't help it. World's biggest sausage fest of weirdos ?.
3.) 27 Jul 2024 17:19:25
Key words. “Under Klopp”. He’s not here anymore to work his miracles. Let’s see how it goes spending less Slot.
4.) 27 Jul 2024 17:19:45
Not too sure those percentages add up Davey ?.
5.) 27 Jul 2024 17:28:05
Sure they do. There is overlap so it makes perfect sense.
But then again I'm a 39 year old weirdo with the mental age of a 13 year old cursed with Alzheimer's who's recently escaped from a high security penitentiary for the insane so what do I know. Wow. A rainbow.
6.) 27 Jul 2024 17:34:59
I think the biggest weirdos on this site are those who are deluded enough to blindly follow every decision makes. They’re like the corporate sheep from Chaplin’s Modern Times. I think we need a DM, “there’s weeks left in the window”, “we nearly won the league”… Given we’ve won one league in like 30 years and we’re notoriously inconsistent purchasing players when we need… I think scepticism is warranted.
7.) 27 Jul 2024 18:12:10
“World's biggest sausage fest of weirdos”
See I think we now almost need to make it happen just so that can be the banner ??.
8.) 27 Jul 2024 18:33:23
All I see here is a bunch of pathetic ad hominem attacks rather than addressing the shortcomings in our squad. Maybe some folk are happy with being also rans.
9.) 27 Jul 2024 18:59:15
Or maybe some people are patient and are willing to wait to see what happens, whether that be on the transfer front or when the competitions have really started. I for one don’t care too much about this transfer season, I’m more interested in seeing how our new head coach will set up, after that there’s plenty of opportunity to add where needed. We might not win anything the upcoming season, but that is true whether there’s transfers or not.
10.) 27 Jul 2024 19:04:20
Tactics can be as good as you want you need the players. We need to strengthen, every team aims to strengthen in the transfer window and let’s be real we haven’t exactly got a squad with the level of players as Madrid do. Choosing not to strengthen would be nothing other than arrogance thinking a team that hasn’t won of the 2 major prizes in years now can’t be improved upon.
11.) 27 Jul 2024 19:08:07
Also my dear friend Frodo, people are not deluded because they don’t agree with your opinion.
12.) 27 Jul 2024 19:46:54
The problem is baker, we have bean here time after time again time, whether it’s years of failing to recruit midfielders until it’s too late, or failing to bring in a centre defender when we’re in a crisis, it’s just the same old stuff year after year and we just fall further and further behind. I hope you enjoy watching City win another title with no competitive because I won’t enjoy it.
13.) 27 Jul 2024 20:34:22
"I only enjoy supporting Liverpool if we win the league" is the attitude I can't get on board with. Reeks of only wanting to support a successful club. I'm pretty sure that used to be called glory hunting.
14.) 27 Jul 2024 21:50:42
I am just waiting for the Slot and FSG out posts. I can feel them coming in my water.
15.) 27 Jul 2024 22:51:28
Rugsby… that’s not the mentality at all. It’s wanting to win and fans aren’t stupid, the shortcomings are there to see. When we had the epic close encounter with City, I wasn’t crying for signings, I thought we were good enough, we were just ousted at the final hurdle. If there are areas for improvement you gauge the gap.
Oh my dear baker, candlestick maker, you don’t think we need additions? I think the air of scepticism is valid given how we’ve fallen short so consistently now for decades. One league title doesn’t warrant complacency.
16.) 28 Jul 2024 01:44:02
I don’t think this is age related.
17.) 28 Jul 2024 02:08:15
I think my dear victor and Frodo, we should wait and see what those in power want to do. We can want whatever the **** we want, it doesn’t matter, and I’m quite fine with that. The ones that control the transfers and the ones that control the tactical setup during the games, it ain’t us. They might get it right or they might get it wrong, it isn’t up to us. We’re supporters, our job is to support. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like any new shiny toys, or even better, a new academy graduate making it, I’m just not waiting for it, suits me fine either way. We might be champions with the new tactics or we won’t, I’m happy to support either way. Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to be successful every year, but this year, with a new head coach and a new structure above of him, I’m happy to wait it out and support either way.
18.) 28 Jul 2024 02:12:05
I’d also like to recruit the right one instead of the fancy one. Man Utd spent years recruiting the fancy one, if the right one isn’t available now, I’d rather Liverpool wait.
19.) 28 Jul 2024 06:38:22
Lets put things into perspective, if it wasn't for the cheats down the road we'd of been dominant force in the league under klopp. At times we could of been more proactive in the market without a doubt but we're doing it in the right way overall and without cheating.
20.) 28 Jul 2024 08:48:20
Weirdos is a bit strong. Relentless obsessives is closer to the truth.
I think some lose sight of the fact that this is meant to be a bit of fun, and that the club actually select the players, not the fans.
Once folks start taking it seriously enough to the point where they're arguing or believe that they are actually selecting the players Slot needs then they've forgotten the point of it all.
This whole "I know better than you" malarkey spoils things.
21.) 28 Jul 2024 09:24:04
I agree with Faithinworks. All this has nothing to do with age. It has everything to do with brain cell count. ?.
22.) 28 Jul 2024 09:59:11
Personally am so over the rhetoric that Klopp had to work miracles.
It’s just how we do things. We have an identity, a functioning and sustainable club and everyone does there job. It’s what enables us to bring along the likes Trent, Bradley, Elliot, Quansah, Kelleher and then hopefully Doak, Nyoni, Bajcetic et al. That is a sign of a healthy club not a cheaply run and dysfunctional club solely held together by one person.
14 Aug 2024 20:51:12
Soon as I clicked rbl I realised the mistake so had to do another post. Ed's probably getting sick of me ?.
31 Jul 2024 21:05:16
I like him and he gave Kyle Walker a good work out when they played. He's got room for improvement in a better team too.
