Hi Ed002, just wanted to ask your opinion on El Ghazi? Do you think he'd be a good signing? Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - The advice of a third party advisor to Chelsea who blocked any move in the summer citing the player as still being inconsistent and wanting longer to consider whether or not Chelsea should progress a move for the player should be kept in mind. Probably too soon, but could happen.}

What deals did liverpool pay way over the odds for? i'm not askin for numbers, just want to know what deals you are reffering to?
{Ed002's Note - I have to take advice on this from a really well informed chap - the same one that said this past summer was a year early for Depay, and he says it is necessary for him to wait a year or two, or perhaps go on loan. But he saw it as disruptive for his career to move this past summer and hence stopped Chelsea looking for a deal and then sending him on loan. Much is expected in the longer term - but it will need to be managed. He is having a great season and attracting a lot of interest - let's hope it doesn't spoil him.}

Well, looks like we're getting Benteke. I think he's a very able footballer but won't suit our style. I believe this will unfortunately end up being yet another expensive mistake, but I really hope he proves me wrong.

I would rather have had Lacazette or Reus too but they were always unlikely, and Benteke is a very good player. I'm happy if he joins to give us a proven PL scorer and a plan B to Sturridge.
I do actually think he'll be effective in a 4-3-3 with Firmino/Llalana out wide, but I'm also looking forward to seeing him in the diamond with Benteke/Sturridge just ahead of Firmino. Defenders won't know whether to drop deep and risk facing Benteke in the box, or push high and leave Sturridge space to run into!

The only thing I see that is a better scenarion in signing Benteke in comparison to signing Andy Carroll is that benteke is a better player, a better goalscorer and has tremedous upside to improve if he has the desire and the right management. A part from that, we`ll have to hope that lightning doesn`t strike twice in the same place. he is not my preferred choice but he`ll be one of us (rumours are rife that he was an LFC fan growing up in Kinshasa, Zaire or DR Congo)and we need to support him because if he flourishes, we as a club, flourish.

If we can't get goals from Benteke then I would sack the manager. The guy has scored goals in a terrible Villa team who have nothing like the quality we have. This nonsense of not suiting our style is rubbish, our style last season was to be toothless scoring very few goals. We should play when needed to suit Benteke, UTD did it with Fellaini and they got top 4.
Let's stop this "Our style " nonsense because it didn't work too well for us last season.
I hope we get Benteke and I hope we get balls into the box so he can smash them home then let's hope the new coaching staff can teach our defenders how to defend properly then Top 4 I think will be in the bag.

Seems pretty solid, seems tactically reasonable too. My only problem is he looks so uncomfortable on the ball, but Sakho does too and he's still decent with the ball at his feet.

I think he's good for his ages to only thing I don't like about him he let's wingers cross the ball to easy, he should straight out trying to block them, making it hard for them. Hopefully he steps up and becomes a good player for us

Nothing is ever my fault as our defensive woes are "uncoachable". You really have to laugh at the disaster this guy is as a coach and a person. The man lacks integrity and his ability to not take responsibility for anything has become his undoing. Typical as pride comets before the fall.
