Morning Eds, hope you're well.

All the names getting banded about, there doesn't seem to be a lot of players that will help with the homegrown quota.

With Ox and Milner leaving, can you see the HG quota becoming an issue again?

Cheers and good luck over the next few months!

{Ed002's Note - The club will no doubt be considering the issue, but you are right there is a potential problem.}

Did you say that Lavia would become HG eds2?

{Ed002's Note - Yes he will.}

This is amazing. Only way it could be better would be if it started with "previously on desperate Scouse wives"

Not playing one of the best right backs in the world that you're paid the best part of £200k a week when you're chasing a title. No sure that's the most sensible thing to do to be honest.

I agree with Monstersouness. As much as I dislike City and their approach, it's not really the players fault of how the club is run and deserve credit for some of the brilliant football they've played and the success it's brought them.

This forum is an example of a lot of fans wanting Liverpool to be able to go out and spend whatever money on any player we want. If we got bought by a state, I would hate it and it would be 'a disgrace' but I have no doubt within 12-24 months I'd care about it less and less. Unfortunately, sports washing is a real thing and id be a hypocrite to say id have strong enough morals to hate the people investing in my club, and often community, especially if they are successful.

As for Silva, he's a player opposition fans love to hate because of his s**thousery, we've have/ had Suarez, Robbo, and to a certain extent Trent and Jota, over the last few years who fit that bill. As much as he's a panto villain I reckon the vast majority of us would think he was amazing if he was wearing the Liverpool shirt. That said, he's a brilliant player but I'd happily see the back of him for city.

I think that's a brilliant post redflag. Couple of good replies in there as well. In my opinion sums it up perfectly. As a business decision, it is a fantastic one for the shareholders and those financially linked to the club/ s. Risk free and massive returns. Of course the majority in that position with little emotional link to the club would go for it.

From a sporting integrity or a fan perspective who want to see competition, it's awful and will/ has killed the sport. Unfortunately, the leading role our owners have played hurts the most.

Some interesting views on Trent. All in all, he had a terrible game which happens. Unfortunately for Trent, it's against man utd with a tonne of crap in the media about his contract for a perfect storm.

His quality is there for everyone to see and I am happy to take the odd defensive mishap for what he brings.

However, my concern is some of the very basic things in his defending. This season he is far, far too easy to go past. A half hearted shoulder drop and you can cut inside him and on the rare occasion he stops a player from cutting inside, it's fairly easy to get a cross by him. This isn't ability, he's been better than this in previous years. It's either concentration, arrogance or laziness. For £300k a week, and a potential captaincy (if rumours are true) he needs to do better (pointing out the obvious) .
