Apparently Colin Pascoe has been sacked?

AlwaysTipsy

1.) 05 Jun 2015 18:08:07
I must admit he has never impressed me as the man for the job.Maybe with the right men around him Rodgers can improve his performance.He certainly needs to.

2.) 05 Jun 2015 19:01:11
Wonder who is being lined up? Some fairly experienced people out of work.

Wilkins, Phelan, Platt etc all have the credentials but have been at rivals so not sure they'd be welcomed with open arms.

Or could it go to an a kop favourite like Fowler?

3.) 05 Jun 2015 19:19:59
Platt has just taken a job in India. Can't see Fowler adding much as a coach. Glenn Hoddle?

Hi EDs
Are you aware of any interest in Roma's Radja Nainggolan from Liverpool? I think he`s a cracking player and looks well suited to premier league football.

AlwaysTipsy

{Ed002's Note - Nainggolan still has some remaining complex co-ownership issues - which once fully resolved will possibly see offers from at least Manchester United and Manchester City. He has a stupid enough hairdo to fit in nicely at Liverpool, but a move without Champions League football is hard to imagine.}

1.) 23 Apr 2015 13:57:22
Kirikou's younger brother, with that hairdo? Or is it Balotelli's?!

Hi Eds
Links have again appeared linking us with Benezema? I take it that its highly unlikely he`ll be joining.
Also is Dani Alves heading to PSG?

AlwaysTipsy

{Ed002's Note - Alves is going to PSG. Nothing has changed regarding Benzema.}

1.) 12 Mar 2015 17:50:22
Ed2 which clubs will benzema likely go to united psg or Liverpool??
Thanks

{Ed002's Note - PSG are looking for a high-profile French signing in the summer - and Benzema is one of the options. There will also be interest from Manchester United and possibly Liverpool.}

Hi Eds, i see some unreliable sources are reporting that Raheem Sterling has rejected a new contract offer of 70k per week. Have you any info on this? Thx.

AlwaysTipsy

{Ed001's Note - it is too early to say rejected mate, they are still in negotiations.}

1.) 11 Dec 2014 10:51:52
If he's got any sense he'll scarper to Madrid or Barcelona. We are goosed now for at least another 2-3 seasons and to a young and very gifted player that is a long time.

2.) No he shouldn't move to marid or barca this early ! if he wants to develop his game he should remain at Liverpool . doesn't matter in what transition we are he can only get that recognition, care and game time being with liverpool . also if he moves for money that would be disaster for his career. I fear another rodwell, jeffren type situation !!

3.) If he has any sense there is no way he'll go to either of those two teams, as both have a wealth of players in his position who are as good or better

4.) 2-3 seasons!? What a horribly negative outlook you have.

5.) I guess it somewhat proves your point Collins but who is Jeffren?

6.) RedKev - It isn't a horribly negative outlook, it's reality. FSG are not going to continue to pour money into transfers at the rate they have been - they aren't getting any return on their investment and FFP will limit it anyway. In addition Rodgers is now a dead man walking - his replacement will be brought in on the understanding that more cuts to the wage bill are needed, the squad needs reducing, older players need moving on and the transfer budget will be limited. Now put yourself in a young and gifted players shoes/ What would you do? There are only two choices - milk the club for everything you can (to make up for the lack of success) or move on.

7.) If he stays with us any longer hell have forgotten how to pass. Real good dribbler though I bet

8.) Doubt anyone would agree, but I don't think he should be offered any more then that! He is a talented player but realistically has had 1 good season. He may turn out to be a great player but think he has 15 goals in all competition for us, 10 of which occurred last season and has 1 this season. If he wants to leave because he thinks he will develop better elsewhere be gutted but ok with that, if it is down to money then i'm happy for him to go if we get a good fee for him.

9.) I have to agree with Roland-inho. He's got potential, and had a great season last year. Sadly for him, he hasn't been able to replicate the same form as last season. Personally, I think he's being utilised wrong and is need of a good break. He's a great player I wouldn't want to lose though.

10.) I think if we get a good offer for him we should take it. He is overrated and this year his flaws show through badly. He can dribble, but he can't pass and can't shoot.
Thy kept saying on earlier that he is Liverpool's best player which is simply not true. Coutinho is probably our best player, or Sturridge. I would choose Lallana over Sterling any day of the week. I also think that Markovic (apart from being sent off) played awesome in the short time he was on against Basel, and if that is how he intends to continue then he is going to come good too.
Sell Sterling and get a top striker. We need that more.

11.) I'm sorry, but do you even watch liverpool play? sterling's loss of form this year is down to the fact that the tactics have changed and too much responsibility is placed upon him to produce something out of nothing, when he is supposed to be an integral PART of an offense and not carry an offense all by himself. and still every game he wins loads of set pieces that we waste, runs at defenders every chance he gets, is always looking to create, etcetera. he has shown us all that he is a player with tremendous heart as well as ability, on a better team he would be skinning defenses alive and they'd be running scared every time he got on the ball.

Hi Ed
Are we still looking to sign a center back?
If so, is Lovren our number 1 target?

AlwaysTipsy

{Ed001's Note - yes and yes. I am not sure Southampton can afford to let him go as well though!}

Please please EDs, tell me we might still buy a left back before the transfer window closes. I thought Moreno was shocking again today. He really is a weak link in the side. Surely Mr Klopp won't leave this unaddressed.

Hi EDs
With Jose Enrique looking like he`s free to leave and Glen Johnson who can also fill in at LB gone already , have we looked at signing a left back to compete with Moreno?

AlwaysTipsy

{Ed002's Note - Sam Byram has been watched - a move to Liverpool seems unlikely. Hard again to see LB as a priority, particularly with the system being played.}

1.) 09 Jun 2015 13:56:37
Sam Byram is a right back

2.) 09 Jun 2015 14:34:54
He's played RWB and RM in the past

{Ed002's Note - Sorry, I was wrong.}

3.) 09 Jun 2015 14:57:12
Dang, Ed002 is human afterall!

This is worse than the day I realized my parents weren't perfect.

4.) 09 Jun 2015 15:02:29
Emre can will ge used as cover if we revert back to 4 at the back.

And if we dotn then we have a wide range of options for the wb positions.

5.) 09 Jun 2015 15:07:03
Enrique has another year left on his contract. Since he has largely spend the last two seasons keeping us all informed of the color of the nail polish he likes and the vast array of swimming pools he has visited, he has not played enough football to attract any interest, and nobody will want him. He is a player LFC would like to move on, but can't move on if you know what I mean.

Also, I am by no means convinced about the system Ed002 alludes to. I am pretty sure Rodgers himself has no idea what type of system to play. I won't be surprised if he goes back to his favorite 4-3-3.

6.) 09 Jun 2015 16:14:21
I think Gibbs should be looked at personally. Offers a more defensive option to Moreno and good competition for him too.

Clyne right back, Gibbs Left back with Wisdom and Moreno competing with them.

Red Rum

7.) 09 Jun 2015 18:43:24
Gibbs is aweful and can`t even beat out an alseo aweful Monreal for the LB spot at Arsenal. Can should NEVER be anywhere near a back line any longer because he is getting destroyed there by the game. he needs to be playerd in his best position, midfeild.

8.) 09 Jun 2015 20:59:22

Is it true Liverpool wish to sign Adam Bogdan and will Balotelli and Borini both be heading back to Serie A this summer? AC Milan and Lazio supposedly. Cheers EDs.

1.) 05 Jun 2015 19:31:42
Backup, backup, backup. It's the same every year.

When are we going to stop buying backup and buy first team ready players. Use the ones we've already got as backup or here's a crazy idea: use some of the youth players as backup. Ibe, Sinclair, Teixera, Flannagan etc

05 Jun 2015 13:54:07
Hi EDs
Any update on Nathaniel Clyne?
Cheers

AlwaysTipsy

{Ed002's Note - No.}

OMG Migs getting the blame for this, have this match recorded and have watched this incident loads of times, all the blame is on Lucas, without a doubt completely his fault, had all the time in the world. ED001 you are wrong, watch it again without your biasness, no doubt you will insult me now and tell me i know nothing about football. I have been involved in football of all levels for a long time and completely the fault lies with Lucas. Not a CB so it somewhat explains his mistake but to blame Mingolet. Sad really.

AlwaysTipsy

{Ed007's Note - Cool mate, so what Champions League clubs or international teams have you been involved in? You must have some cracking stories from through the years.}

If Klopp thinks that Moreno can improve on his performances from last season then that's good enough for me, he`s still young so heres hoping.

Thats fair enough mate, maybe your colleague might read this and stop posting nonsense rumours from the same poster over and over again. Love the site by the way. Thanks for the quick reply.
