OMG when Alex OC kicked that ball Koshelny is on the goal line offside when it hits his elbow and goes in. liners had a shocker.

1.) 02 Oct 2016 23:21:23
Close up on MOTD just about shows that it was Koscielny who kicked it, not Chamberlain. Still a blatant handball though, Burnley so unlucky.

2.) 03 Oct 2016 14:57:13
The ref should have blown fro handball but he may have thought it was going in anyway hence, I can see why he didn`t call it as handball.

I have no idea why Firminio stayed on so long or why Ibe and Benteke came on. WTF was Klopp doing? I'm seriously concerned how slowly he reacts to the game that develops, they were absolutely wide open and we were not trying to punish them. Poor tactics to not try to score when we saw they were not at it. Half time sub was a shocker Ibe should be no where near it, he nearly gave a goal away 10 mins before they scored. I think we are in deep trouble because cwe were complacent. Unhappy ALB.

I do think Klopp was keeping best for anfield Sturidge up front we will. Smash them. That was their best team. So looking forward to the next one.

dont blame any players its down to klopp and klopp only awful tactics and no will to win, i would have hated it if i went to watch that game.

Klopp bashing already wow talk about negative. He has seen us through past a strong Dortmund team and also United. He's had to deal with a lot of injuries since the Dortmund game as well as the Sahko situation.

Fair enough they snatched a late goal at the end, but as some posters have said I think we could beat them at Anfield.

6.) 28 Apr 2016 23:11:31
Utd fan i guess on here.

7.) 28 Apr 2016 23:38:24
Come back from 2-0 down at home to win 5-4 on Agg - your a star; lose to a single goal away from home and you need shooting - fickle and stupid are the only words (printable) I'd mention!

8.) 29 Apr 2016 01:32:03
Jesus Christ lads. What kind of fans are blaming klopp for tonight's game. He set us up not to lose, u fortunately it didn't quite go to plan but we are still well in the tie, mbrock99 you are a disgrace. Pls don't post again because u are an embrassment to us all. Silly silly man. In klopp we trust if we go out we go out but I'm sure we will give it a go in second leg and we will see how it goes. Anyone complaining about our approach tonight should remember this is the 4th best team in spain and klopp knows more than us.

9.) 29 Apr 2016 02:06:45
If it stayed 0.0 then everyone would be saying it was a good result. If we got the away goal then everyone would be saying it was a great result. They will have to travel to anfield. Coutinho only played first half due to illness and sturridge didn't even feature. We lost 1-0 yes but I'm very confident we can make it to the final especially with a more match fit firmino and coutinho for 90 mins and maybe even benteke and sturridge both starting. As for so called mistakes from klopp. Maybe he did make a mistake with his tactics but mistakes have silver linings. Klopp will learn from his mistakes which will only make him a better manager. He's still young for a manager and I wouldn't want any other manager in the world. We need to get behind the manager and the players in the second leg. Still all to play for. If we get first goal in second leg its advantage us with the crown behind us. Believe and trust in klopp . YNWA.

10.) 29 Apr 2016 02:56:08
hoola, the point is if we performed well and still lost, atleast we can say we tried. But playing poor and losing when we could do so much better is what's annoying.

11.) 29 Apr 2016 04:47:47
Honestly, their strongest team against our best 11 currently and they snatch (SNATCH) a win at the end if we don't win i will be amazed totally amazed. Studge didn't play i reckon because he has saved him for anfield were he will tear their defence a new one. Not a bad performance tonight shame moreneo was playing right wing when they broke down our left but he will learn in time. COYR.

12.) 29 Apr 2016 08:04:47
The point being made is neither Ibe or Benteke have been anywhere near the team so why now in a semi-final. They should not have been used. Firminio gavecthe ball away every time he had it. Klopp did not react to the game situation. They were poor and he let them off. If we go out on away goals will everyone be happy? . because I won't. Just because he has charisma and is a great motivator doesn't make him the best tactician. You can all be optimistic, that's fine but on this game he's not the Messiah he's a very naughty boy ;-)

Result=excellent, opportunity=wasted, Dortmund with one eye on their league position and weekend Derby were there for the taking.
Big up to Lovren and Sahko (apart from the goal) but again Moreno and Clyne are a nightmare.
Joe Allen deserves a starting place as he hasn't put a foot wrong for months now. Origi great performance, shame he couldn't score the second and kill the tie but the usually amazing Coutinho missed two great chances to do so also, plus the Lovren miss and we could easily be 4/ 5 - 2 up going into the second leg. Hope we finish the job as we are better than Dortmund, which is a big statement but also clear on tonight's performance. Well done Jurgen for selecting Origi over Sturridge, great shout that. Hopefully next week Firminio will be the match winner now he's back :-)

1.) 07 Apr 2016 23:42:22
Hopefully next week Origi will be the match winner after he did so well.

2.) 07 Apr 2016 23:51:21
Allens passing was good but took poor defensive angles a number of times which opened space. May be a bit nit picky but seemed like a lack of match acclimation as much as anything.

Eds I'd just like to say homever is was at Liverpool who thought Deli Alli wasn't worth £5m should hang their heads in shame. what a cracking young player he is.

Alexi Lalas Beard

1.) 26 Mar 2016 21:22:19
Sorry. whomever it was!

2.) 26 Mar 2016 21:36:41
Well that's what you call a commentators curse. oh Deli Alli what was that son?

3.) 26 Mar 2016 21:54:22
Couldn't agree more instead we paid how much for Joe Allen?

4.) 26 Mar 2016 22:39:28
Absolute quality.

5.) 26 Mar 2016 23:13:41
I wish we had got Ali; looks assured and believes in his ability - makings of a great player.

"itsonlybanter" come on - Allen has been with us for 3.5 years (nearly 4) - we didn't £instead" pay / buy Joe Allen - most people hadn't heard of him back then!

6.) 27 Mar 2016 08:08:47
Totally agree Hoola. how far do you go back? You can't compare players we already have and it's not like The Welsh Xavi was bought instead of Ali. Still we missed a cracker there!

7.) 27 Mar 2016 09:06:23
I don't believe it was e 5m, it was wages and a potential to challenge for a starting role that saw us lose out. Huge miss there, particularly as he was actually needed and a fan. Hopefully Grujic helps ease the disappointment, think he could be just like him if we're lucky.

8.) 27 Mar 2016 09:43:31
Well believe it or not delli Ali would have faded away at lfc just like many other promising youth players have. It's great for the lads career that he went to tottenham and got the right manager in pochentino. In two years he'd probably achieve more. Tottenham are allowing him to express and play his way which is very crucial for youth players. He will be a big reason if they win the title this year. I absolutely hate Tottenham but this is true they have a very smart setup from youth to owners. I hope under klipperty things change and we cultivate youth. I hv been waiting for two decades now since the last academy product from our beloved club took the league by storm.

9.) 27 Mar 2016 11:38:12
Yes, credit has to go to Pochetino. Let's see how he gets on next season.

10.) 28 Mar 2016 01:44:50
Spot on, akshit. Knowing BR, he would have prolly played Alli at DM or wing back instead of harnessing his true potential as Poch did. Personally, don't care about players at other clubs as I'm more interested in our players and their progress here so Alli didn't signe here. Who cares? Focus on your own players at LFC and let other teams focus on theirs.

11.) 28 Mar 2016 03:16:16
hear, hear I hope that deli alli does not get swallowed up by the hype, he has many highs and lows still to come, he is only 19 remember, gutted we did not sign him but let's concentrate on our own youngsters namely ojo.

Musc you need to reflect on how many chances we need to create to score those goals and upon the fact that in many, many games this season when we have lost or drawn we have squandered 4 or 5 guilt edge chances before then conceding the crucial goals that cost us.
Southampton (a) Man U (H) Spurs (H) Newcastle (H) West Ham (FA Cup) Sunderland (H) Arsenal (H) Norwich (a got away with it) Newcastle (a - that's relegated Newcastle) Crystal Palace (H) Southampton (H) Spurs (a -battered them 0-0) Norwich (H) Man U (a) that's just the 14 games we didn't win because we missed a hatfull of chances then.
QED
Case rested.

Sorry Musc but that is naive. The spine of the team is weak, we have decent creative/ luxury players however we do not convert enough chances and again we cannot keep clean sheets.

Two cup finals does not paper over that we were 8th and even if we hadn't sacrificed the last few league games we would only have been 6th at best.

Arsenal, City, Chelsea and Man Utd were all poor this season, it will not be the case next year.

Our squad is mediocre and that's why the charlatan that is Brendan Rodgers got sacked. Wake up to reality and stop deluding yourselves.

Misc there's great optimism in your post however you overlook some stark facts that are not so positive. We cannot keep clean sheets. The players who are lacking all play in key positions, goalkeeper, centre back, centre midfield, full backs.

We have some good players but we lack 2-3 world class players who are leaders. If we had the calibre of DeGea, Alderweireld, Kante, Bellerin, Fuchs, Debruyne then I'd share your optimism about the others. We have Mignolet, Clyne, Moreno, Lovren, Lallana and Milner. With Allen, Skrtel, Benteke as back up?

If you analyse the Dortmund, Villarreal games you will see we played the same way and made the same mistakes in those games but got away with it over two legs. We battered Man Utd but again our inability to score enough in relation to chances created meant the 2nd leg was difficult when it should have been all over.

The manager will be cut some slack as he has got a poor squad to two finals. Unless he addresses the weaknessess with transfers then we will not challenge at all. If Mignolet stays in goal, Milner as first choice plus Moreno and Clyne then we have real problems.

Sahko has made a centre back a priority as Lovren without a leader goes missing. Last night as soon as he got booked for that stupid foul when the ball was already out, he was terrified to tackle and crumbled mentally.

The young players, Coutinho, Firminio, Can bottled it and there was no one on the pitch to help them.

Watch in the summer how poor Clyne is for England against quality players.

We need a whole new spine and then the promising kids can express themselves. Klopps job is enormous, top 4 is not going to be easy even with less games. You forget the year we blew it without European distraction we had one Luis Suarez, he is unique so we need 4 big players to replace what his ability gave to the whole team.

I hope Klopp gets it right, Ranieri has shown it can be done without paying hundreds of millions, just sign players with character and determination then sprinkle a few gems in for good measure.

Biggest summer in our history in my opinion, c'mon Jugern sign the right players and get us back where we belong.
